Location, breakfast, price at booking.com (EUR 67 per night - great!) Overall, the place would benefit from major renovation. Furniture is either too old or not old enough... Beds are very small. Bathroom is basic. |

Proximity to spa and bridges and shopping areas. It has a lovely olde world feel to it. Yes... I booked a twin room on internet or at least I thought I booked a twin room. On arrival I was told that there was no twin room available. The man on the desk was not at all friendly about it.. Arrogant and unconcerned in fact. When I looked at my document It stated double/twin room?????? They are not the same thing and one should be able to clearly state either one or the other. It got us off to a bad start and we were not happy. On demand it was sorted the next day but again we had to spend some of our valuable time worrying about the location of luggage etc. ???? I would like to know what the story is here. |

The spa and breakfast, although the spa could be much upgraded if taken over by private sector. Room and bathroom furniture. Also should provide free internet. |

Terrific staff, good breakfast buffet, and quite a good location; although rooms could use an update. |

I have used this hotel many times and enjoy the old style. The rooms are a little old fashioned but create an atmosphere that I enjoy. Great location next to the river and not far from the castle hill. |

gellert baths are really extraordinarily beautiful and relaxing, very good breakfast buffet, beautiful old building, the bed was comfortable, not too soft and clean the carpets are worn out and the cupboard was a bit smelly. |

I liked the famous Gellert Baths and the location. The breakfast was great but get your own tea at the counter. The Bar was tiny.and didn't open till six. |

The location and style of the Hotel is excellent I thought the breakfast area was very disorganised. You wre not shown to a table but had to 'find one' and although there was a good choice of hot and cold food the quality wasnt very good! |

The tram stops right outside the hotel which makes it convenient to get to anywhere. Easy to walk back to hotel from city centre even after trams stop (11.35pm). About 10 min walk over the bridge. Hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. I first booked a single room for €61. This room had stunning views but was too tiny to open luggage and use the computer. I upgraded to a double room costing €146. Would certainly recommend this. Ask to see the rooms before settling in. Hotel is a historic building. Swimming pool is large and luxurious. However, getting there takes some skill. After a long walk to the entrance, I was told that the place for locking wallets was upstairs. I just kept it in in a bag on a ledge in front of me and jumped into the small warm pool adjacent to the large non-heated one. One hour internet voucher bombed out after 15 min. There was a number to phone for internet problems. I was leaving the hotel in an hour so didn't bother. |

The very friendly and obliging staff (reception, doorman, porter, housekeeping) and ideal location of this hotel always bring me back. Located directly in front of the Freedom bridge and beside a major tram stop, you can easily get to anywhere you need. The breakfast buffet is extensive and good. Free access to the Gellert baths is an added bonus. Lots of tourist sites very close by. Some of the hotel rooms need refurbishing. Single rooms can be quite small. No free WiFi. |

The calm yet sophisticated atmosphere combined with the direct access to the fabulous spa. We liked the central location to the downtown area. The brassiere food was excellent so was the café shop. |

Spa facilities were very good and we used them everyday. Buffet breakfast had lots of variety and was good quality generally. However breakfast coffee was not good, not fresh and hot. Also the hot water in our room was not hot for a bath or shower, fortunately we had the spa but still the room should have hot water. |

The building and setting are magnificent, but the rooms urgently need to be renovated, both from a technical point of view (heating did not work with 0 C outside!), and from a aesthetic/ comfort point of view. Obviously, the thermal baths are splendid! |

Need to stay once at such a historical hotel with the architecture with sauna and famouse pools. Best locaion for best restaurants. Old due to its history, but better to feel with older people compensating it. |

It was wonderful to have such easy access to the spa facilities and lovely outdoor area. We didn't leave the hotel at all. We had a lovely breakfast in the beautiful, spacious dining room. I also liked the spacious public areas, the old artworks and the newer stained glass windows. Our primary reason for staying at the hotel was the access to the spa so I wasn't concerned about the older appearance of the room. I appreciated the size of the room, the extra furniture, the terrace and of course the view. |

Probably the pool and the baths and the exterior of the Hotel I stayed in a single room and it bought me back to the days of boarding school, the room was a 2* at best, like a Hostel room.I asked for upgrade and they showed me a room with a carpet that was filthy, when I told reception it was filthy he said 'yes we know' with a smug smile on his face. Don't get the breakfast option as it is not worth it you can cross the bridge and there are plenty of places over there. |

Proximity to city The room was too small, toilet was also too small. The furniture was old and carpet worn out from many places. I was given a room on 5th floor with no lift access. Not happy with stay. |

Behind its distinguished façade, located in the heart of Budapest, the old Grand Hotel Royal has been transformed into the superb, modern Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal. |
Stay in a luxurious, historical 19th-century palace built for the Hungarian count Zichy in the heart of Budapest's palace district, near the M3 metro and only a 5-minute walk from the National Museum. |
The brand-new Promenade City Hotel is situated right in the city centre of Budapest, on the pedestrianized Váci Street next to the Danube river. |
No visit to Hungary’s capital would be complete without a stay at the city’s newest all-suite hotel: the Queen’s Court Hotel & Residence. |
