Once fabulous architecture and facilities, excellent view to Danube and old city accross, also to close surroundings (river, Gellert hill- park, bridge), friendly staff

Very poor condition of building itself; plastics and aluminium elements (doors etc) from 1980ties, lighting elements from teh same period inside, combined with Art Nouev. interiers. Building needs carefull and smart restorator!!!

Everything about the hotel , especially staff and the breakfast and nearness to city centre .I stayed there some years ago , and will stay again later this summer with my wife ,Thanks

I have been in Hotel Gellert many times and the spa was always included in the price. now you can only use it once free and other times for half price. one of the attractions was that you coul use the spa as many times as you wished. Pity that its changed.

Our room had a lovely view, breakfast was great an we love the spa!

The rooms are a bit old fashioned but that adds to the charm

The staff were ever helpful and considerate in dealing with my son and me, especiallyu with respect to our sight-seeing wishes.. The hotel was very handy to superb restaurants and shopping facilities.

The bathroom lighting was not as intense as I would like it to be, especially for shaving.

Location, style and spa faculties. The rooms and all associated buildings retain attractive period features. Access to the spa for 2 included in the price makes the overall value acceptable, and worth staying in this iconic hotel.

For the price and class of hotel the in room facilities are not up to current expectations. There was a very limited amount of toiletries provided, the room still has a CRT TV, and is generally resourced at level expected of a 3 star hotel. The facilities could be easily upgraded without substantial refurbishment, and spoiling original features.

Super location, great staff, superb spa, made it an excellent experience all round

The spa was fabulous, unique, beautiful-overall a memorable experience but largely owing to the spa itself, rather than the hotel itself. The staff at reception were very competent but not too friendly.

The entire hotel requires modernization and upgrading (from very soft mattresses to poor room service to absence of WIFI in the rooms, old fashioned menu in restaurant., dirty old moquettes, soft pillows, one key only per room, etc). Although it has old world charm but its dated.

It is really high time to spend money for renovations. One day the credite also from old friends expires

Only the SPA but the SPA was not allowed during our stay. Just once only!! In other hotels in Austria the SPA is included during your stay (eg.Bad Blumau) which is a first class hotel!!

The Room was horrible! It was a smoking room. In the homepage I booked a nice room and they gave me an awful room. I will never come there or recommend this hotel to anyone. Horrible hotel.

Hotel is a bit old but room was OK and clean. Staaf very helpful and with the Spa in the building it was nice.

1) The atmosfhere of the hotel recalls the old Austrian Hungarian Empire magnifificiencies. 2) The position of the Hotel in front of the Daniubius, very close to the heart of the City

1) Not possible to take a bath in the bathroom. I had it and had to call for assistance because of a flood in the bathroom. 2) WiFi connection problematic. I had to call the assistance for sudden connection interruption. i have been charged a phone call from the room that i have never done. 3) No girl in the lobby bar available, just in case...

Historic hotel with a romantic, "Orient-Express-ish" atmosphere a, magnificent breakfast, (from my point of view;) the best brandy in the world in the bar. The staff is very nice, the location close to perfect, and of course the spa is something special. I would like to stay there again.

Old world style of a 'Grand' hotel. Very full & generous breakfast buffet. One free visit to the Gellert Spa included in stay. Bathtub the size of a sarcophagus. Instant hot water.

Great hotel, very friendly helpful staff, ability to use the spa facilities free of charge once during the stay and at a 50% rebate for other times, walkable to central sights plus public transport outside the door.
