The hotel is a very peculiar one and it is a must to stay there

It is really high time to spend money for renovations. One day the credite also from old friends expires

Hotel is a bit old but room was OK and clean. Staaf very helpful and with the Spa in the building it was nice.

1) The atmosfhere of the hotel recalls the old Austrian Hungarian Empire magnifificiencies. 2) The position of the Hotel in front of the Daniubius, very close to the heart of the City

1) Not possible to take a bath in the bathroom. I had it and had to call for assistance because of a flood in the bathroom. 2) WiFi connection problematic. I had to call the assistance for sudden connection interruption. i have been charged a phone call from the room that i have never done. 3) No girl in the lobby bar available, just in case...

Historic hotel with a romantic, "Orient-Express-ish" atmosphere a, magnificent breakfast, (from my point of view;) the best brandy in the world in the bar. The staff is very nice, the location close to perfect, and of course the spa is something special. I would like to stay there again.

Old world style of a 'Grand' hotel. Very full & generous breakfast buffet. One free visit to the Gellert Spa included in stay. Bathtub the size of a sarcophagus. Instant hot water.

Great hotel, very friendly helpful staff, ability to use the spa facilities free of charge once during the stay and at a 50% rebate for other times, walkable to central sights plus public transport outside the door.

Tv at 23 Euros a day. Furniture in room was old and uncomfortable. No mini bar or Tv as advertised. Last night had to be moved due to excessive noise next door. Room very small and not worth the money

the breakfast is very rich and good, the possibility to have one free entrance to the baths and then the other at half price, the price of the room is very competitive

I loved the old charm and the location. The baths were great and the breakfast is fantastic!

We chose the place for the quiet charm however, there was some kind of party in the lobbies that lasted from Saturday until Sunday afternoon. The lobby was crowded and loud. I wouldn't complain, but one of the doormen was rude to my husband about having his foot on a coffee table in the lobby. I thought it was rather odd that offended him when we couldn't even hear or move in the lobby for two days. There were surf boards, beach balls, flip flops, etc everywhere. There was even a women in a very suggested french maid costume running around. That offended me!

Everything! It's my house in Budapest. I stayed twice and I really come back a thousand of times : - )

Hotel has a unique charm and location.

Internet access in public areas is almost small. In 2013, a 4 star Hotel in the center of Budapest, it is sad that there is no free internet. I asked the internet for about a week at a price of about 80 euro! Gellert Thermal Baths too, but really too chaotic and noisy: I can understand the noise in the 'pool area, but in the thermal baths area no. Not really relaxing Holiday.

Lovely Art Nouveau decor, friendly staff. The baths are wonderful!

Shabby and rather overpriced. But the worst was a weekend convention with all public spaces full of drinking and partying locals. The lobby turned into a vulgar and extremely noisy discotheque, the first floor into a village fare. Complete disrespect to paying hotel guests.

The staff were excellent and the location was great. The hotel is very nice with the added bonus of the thermal spa and salon services.

The rooms could use updating.

The building architecture, outside and reception, restautrant (+ views) and main features inside public spaces. The thermal baths, use of bathrobes. The first free use of the thermal baths breakfast and its young helping staff. The brasserie and its staff. The English speaking staff.

My small room was nowhere near the standard of the rest of the hotel.The wardrobe was tired and smelly. I left my clothes in my suitcase. The bed was really tiny. Small sink in an awkward position. No fridge. I didn't complain as I did not have the time: 2 days. For a longer stay I would have moved to another hotel. Some of the staff were just too rude, especially the room service ones. The rest were polite but not as pleasant and obliging as in the other hotels I have been to. I was served a soup in a tiny bowl with a huge loaf of bread. Water was just ridiculously dear: 75 cl cost around £4. The window faced onto other rooms a few meter across a small atrium. I could hear the rain and noises like moving bins quite late in the night. Very noisy

The manager gave us an upgrade to a room with a view to the Danube River for the last night (if it were not for his kindness our stay at a standard room would have been far from pleasant). The breakfast was remarkable. The baths were great.

Standard room are horrid (old bathroom, poor view to the roofs of the baths, very small, look like a 2 star Hotel). Some of the hotel staff were not at all amicable nor helpful.

Old world charm. A nostalgic place. Quick and convenient access to the Spa. Great little restaurant around the corner with authentic Hungarian music. Staff were much more helpful than other reviews suggest.

If you seek modern and new then this isn't the place for you.
