Golden Park Hotel

The room (and hotel, in general) was very clean, comfortable and air conditioned which was a great comfort as it was so hot during my stay.

(1) On my last night (it was very late at night and I was in bed), a security man unlocked and opened the door to my room and walked in and then apologised, after I called out, and closed it. I was a single female traveller and this really scared me. I rang the reception to explain what had happened and they told me there had been an error on their computer system; the security man had thought the room was not occupied and was checking it to see whether anyone was in it who shouldn't have been. An honest mistake had clearly been made; however it would have put my mind at ease if the reception had rung me to explain this and apologised to me rather than me having to ring them feeling very frightened. I was not impressed with the way this was dealt with. (2) Expensive for a single traveller.

Very close to Keleti railway station, one metro station far from the Papp Laszlo Sport Arena (handy if you are in town for a concert), within walking distance from Budapest Arena Shopping Mall.

Very, very small rooms, if facing the street noisy, also. Rather a 3 star hotel, in my opinion.

the whole hotel needs to be renovated. I did not like it. the majority of staff was not polite, the breakfast was not so good. the room were they served breakfast is not in a good condition.

The room is clean and staff are nice. The breakfast is okay and they provide different kind of fruits. Very close to the train station and metro. Easy to find once you walk out. Nice and cheap ice-cream shop on next door.

The breakfast doesn't provide any fresh fruit juices. Only those 'colour' like syrup with water can be found. The shower tub is too small without a sliding door which makes the whole bathroom wet very easily and takes time to dry.

Wi-fi Internet too expensive; neither English or Italian TV channels in the room for 5 days (BBC, CCN, RAI not available due to problems with hotel TV system)

The hotel location is very close to the main train & metro station.

I sent postcards to my hometown (via hotel's receptionist), but it were not arrived yet after almost two weeks now.

Good location, food OK, rooms comfortable

Several noisy guests in the early hours of the morning disturbed us on more than one night.
