When we asked for extra blankets and pillows (because they were worn out thin and tiny) the maid a small dark haired woman was very sweet and although we couldn't speak any of the same languages she was helpful and kind
I never leave negative reviews but this is ludicis!!' We arrived early booking for reason of next to main train station. That was only positive. The room was on the very top floor the elevator only went to 6th had to walk up two flights of stairs to get to room. The smell was strange in hallway. Once In room it reeked of possibly sewage. Although budapest temperatures are at freezing point we were forced to open windows. The bedding had hair on it although looked clean upon further notice the interior blankets had grim and build up but hidden by duvet covers. Pillows old. Toilet seat was on sideways so of sat on it could slip off at anytime. Shower clean but NO water pressure. We were exhausted and had been asked to pay cash at front desk upon arrival. So we stayed. The following day my husband disliked the free inclusive buffet I wouldn't eat it. Day 2 when we were preparing to be leaving our room in afternoon (after long night of being out) and a man opened our room door with a card key. He said something and ran away!!! I made hubby chase him he slipped in elevator. Husband ran downstairs I took other elevator and we saw him I confronted him and asked why he was in our room. He brushed me off I asked front desk they said "oh that's Maintenance " I said no one told me. What was he fixing (thinking perhaps the awful smell !) they said oh nothing! I said that is ridiculous and it made me uncomfortable. They said nothing so I walked out front door and someone yelled "sorry" the smell never left, breakfast was half warm and greasy with cold potatoes and a child serving himself with his hands. Public transportation is fantastic so stay anywhere but here.
- excellent location, just a few steps from Keleti railway station, just perfect when your arrival is at late night, no need to use a public transport - good working wifi connection - towels included
- too big noise in the room caused by central aircondition or fan working all the night, no chance to stop it, no chance to sleep - bed mattress was largely used, maybe by too heavy people - various breakfast but not very tasty, hard-boiled eggs were totally cold, looking like few days lying in the fridge, also having a pasta salad for breakfast was a little bit strange
Close to Keleti station and tram line
Room was very small. No dining options nearby Lost power when I was checking out and had to carry my bag down 3 floors Staff didn't offer to help or apologize
Location is excellent. Very good breakfast.
I had triple room with my friends. Only two was booking in. We got triple room and double bed to share :(
-location - might not be a good spot for sightseeing in budapest. on the other hand it's only a short bus ride away from the center
- nothing i can think of
the walls in the hall and in the room were dirty. The room was very small. The feet-towel that was changed the second day of our stay had holes. The sheets were not that clean from the fisrt day that we arrived and were not changed at all during the three nights that we stayed there. This hotel is definitely not a four star hotel
good breakfast menu
uncomfortable bed, no fridge
Good enough for 2 stars hotel, but not 4 as stated. Nice location and view from hotel rooms.
Smell of cigarettes in non smoking room. Awful breakfast for 4 stars hotel. No hotel parking
Excellent location to trains and metro.
Located in not such a nice area Quality of a 3 star hotel
Shame on you !!!!!!!!
Bathroom is a disgrace! the room rundown, mouldy, dirty, the dunna filthy, what more do you want? Again, shame on you!
An entrance to the metro is right near the hotel's door
Facilities need renovation, blankets occured of a strange small size...
Location. It is very close to the central rail station Keleti.
The breakfast is not so good.
value - location -
The best on this hotel is location. Just few steps from the Keleti Palyaudvar (Eastern train station). Two metrolines and 2 km walk distance to Danube river is real plus of this hotel. Also friendly staff is making this hotel really good.
I don´t want to be rude to this hotel but I need to say that they are living from the faded glory of this facility. With all respect this is not a 4* hotel... Not at all. I don´t know how or who gave them this rating but I saw 2* hotels in better shape than this one. They have everything what you need from the tourist hotel, but the management and owner should wake up and invest a lot of money to refurbishing of the rooms and to the equipment. In 4* hotel is unacceptable what I experienced here: grayed out towels with the holes, broken sink, bath tube with the curtain only, scratches on the wall and old grubby carpet. Suggestion: INVEST THE MONEY or GO DOWN WITH THE PRICE. You are overpriced for what you offer. To close my review I need to say that I was really upset.
I the morning breakfast was ok, door of my bathroom not properly fixed, I was locked, then my son was locked, I had to call reception, man came he in looked the door
The bed and baby's cot are good.
It doesn't look like a 4 star hotel, just like a hostel. Don't expect much from it when you book here for your family. Just to stay a night over is ok.
Location, nice personal on reception
Small dirty room, only 2 towels per person, no cosmetics in bathroom except soap. It is not a level of 4* hotel. If to clean in the room I can give it 3*. Very old and dirty. Do not recommend
close proximity to train station helpful and courteous staff ability to take my folding bike to my room quiet bedroom clean bathroom spacious lobby with wifi wide choice of breakfast food in buffet format
no mattress protector stained carpets breakfast food was quite tasteless
The flexibility for the refund. The room was very much under standard.
- No parking on site - Small room
Close to rail central
Size of room, distance from town, hotel is barely 3 Star,
helpfulness of staff for English speakers, right across from the main train and subway stations, good restaurants nearby, great view of the city
We just stayed one night, and unfortunately didn't use the full potential of the hotel. The service was great, the staff was very helpful gave as heaps of tourist information, programs etc. I can recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in the city center and close to public transport and the train station. Stayed in July 2014
Close to main station
over price, not really 4 stars, quite dirty and very old.Would not stay again and really not recommend
