It very difficult imagine that this hotel has a four stars. It more looks like have two. Everthing is very old, room is very small, breakfest is terrible. Everthing looks much, much better on the photo on web side of hotel.

Location, good view of the city from the upper floors. Close to public transport (tram stop opposite hotel). Only two small lifts. When busy you have to wait sometime before being able to use. More required for the size of the hotel. We had air conditioning which wasn't worth being on as it only blew out room temperature air. It was reported to hotel staff but was not recified. Rooms showing signs of ware and tear.

The Danubius Hotel Personnel is very nice, friendly and they can really give you precious info. Many thanks to Zoltan, in this way, he did a great job! Rooms are really not ****; There are two types of rooms with new and old furniture; make sure you choose the one with new furniture, even though it's not specified on booking.com; Prices may vary depending on the floor you choose, and furniture old/new; Even though, breakfast is extraordinary!

I only liked the location of the hotel. I didn't like Danubius Hotel, because it look's like a hotel with 2 stars, not with 4 stars. It looks very poor, very old, nothing that compers with an hotel in 2012 with 4 stars.

The fact that the web site says that it's near the river, and it wasn'T. You had to take a bus from the metro station, the bus drivers closed the doors on us three times before we were able to get out...bizarre

The location was the best, also the staff were very friendly and helpful. They also have the information I needed and the best was they kept my luggage since my trip onward was after I already checked out - for free! The published check in was 2 pm but I was accepted before that time, also the published time for check out was before 10 am but I checked out at 12 nn and it was ok. It also helped that my room was situated on the 13th floor. And by the way, it was easy to request for a room that I liked The only thing I didn't like was the heating in my room. It was too hot and when I opened my room, it was noisy, other than this it was great!

Overall the hotel is great, It must be as I have just booked the same hotel again in March next year. The staff are mainly excellent, just the odd one who ruined it a little but the rest couldnt do more to help when needed. The hotel declares 4 star where I would sugest no more than 3 star really. The position of the hotel is good and bad, good because it is so close to transport links and the excellent views and bad because of what I have put below. As stated above, overall good. The room was clean but the carpet was stained filthy, I stayed in October and I was throwing a sweat all the time and the air conditioning is of no use at all so I wouldn't want to stay in summer time. To combat the heat I tried opening the windows but that's a non starter really as the noise from the traffic below in unbearable. I think the hotel is within 400 yards of the busiest hospital in the world going by how many siirens went blaring past, even at 4 or 5 in the morning. I have tried to be as honest as possible so make your own mind up on what I have said. It is a good cheap (through booking, com) 3 star hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel twice now, I decided to go back the 2 nd time as I was so impressed with my stay there. An ideal place to stay whether you want to shop or go sightseeing. The hotel staff are very welcoming, helpful and polite. The buffet breakfast is amazing, there is a good choice and the food is always excellent. The hotel has spectacular views from all sides and is only about a 10 minute walk to the shopping centre and tram station or a two stop ride on the tram from just across the road. I would recommend this stylish hotel as the staff will do their best to make sure you enjoy your stay and it is value for money.

Close to good transport links, helpful staff, relatively quiet position, good food and reasonable prices. Only two thinks we didn't like, the wait for lifts at busy periods. When coach parties are present the breakfast facilities were overloaded giving a shortage of tables and food.

The atmosphere was very good ,It was central and close to the tram tracks, Was a neat place to stay, The staff was helpful when we needed to know where to go and how , price was very reasonable, they arranged the taxie to pick us up at the airport ,with a fixed price. We found our four day stay very comfortable and good and would recommend the hotel to anyone. The area was also a very nice area with a lot of old homes to explore. Thank you staff for a great visit to Budapest Henry

Utmost courtesy and assistance of the staff; clean, pleasant hotel environment; location: close to park and hills and the beauty of Buda, yet not far from the city; excellent connections to public transportation; good shopping is not too far; superb view from the higher floors. Air conditioning is inefficient; the carpet in front of the airconditioner unit is wet probably due to condensation; inefficient cooling capacity of the fridge; bathtub too high
