Hotel Normafa is located in an excellent position high in the Buda hills above the city of Budapest. It is close to a heavily wooded area where there are plenty of well marked walks which are enjoyed by the general population as well as visitors to the area. A bus trip into the city centre takes about 15-20 minutes. Bus services are very frequent and cheap and a bus can be caught from a stop within two minutes walk of the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly, respond to requests well and the reception staff speak very good English. They are very helpful in providing information about travel, tickets etc..

Hotel staff was really nice, location is great, there's a great restaurant just across the street - doesn't look fancy, but the food is really fancy. The hotel is in nature, but 20 minutes with public transportation to the center od BUdapest which is great. If you travel with family and you want to have a really nice sleep, it's a great place. THere's a lack of sugar free and grease free food for breakfast. Sauna should be opened into the night.

Good value for the price. Gym and saunas were superb. Very friendly staff. Double bed is two small beds standing next to each other. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on it.

The hotel itself is lovely.the staff are friendly & helpful & the food is top quality even if the menu is a little limited.the pool & gym along with steam room, sauna & massage facility are great.for a relaxing stay its ideal but maybe just a little quiet for me.with no English speaking T.V. in the rooms it left you with very little to do after a day out in town with the wi-fi service not great.all in all I would happily stay again if they had English speaking T.V. Might not sound a big deal but the evening does tend to drag in without any entertainment in the hotel so T.V. in my view would add to your stay. The only real fault I had was the lack of entertainment in the evening leaving you with the option of staying in your room with nothing to do or head off down town & look for something there.as I said before even having English T.V. as an option would help pass the time after maybe a long day out downtown.

The staff at the front desk were very helpful and always able to provide you with information when necessary and they were able to change money at the desk also. The surroundings are beautiful and the style of the hotel is in keeping with the setting. Although it is a 20 mins bus ride into the city, this became part of its charm because you could visit all the sites and attractions and go back to relax in a peaceful hotel and eat their lovely food. There was no air conditioning which made sleeping uncomfortable and their pillows were not very supportive.

1)Wifi not for free... When the Booking.com page is mentioning "Free wifi hotspot". A hotspot is always free, but it only gives you access to a paying service, nothing else... 2) Service not included at the restaurant and mentioned at a hidden page on the menu. It is clearly not acceptable and poor manners...

Amazing value at this beautiful Hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the facilities are great! Everything is in very good condition and looks well taken taken off. We loved the location; right on the edge of a nature park with nice walks and outdoor activities, and only a 10 minute bus ride from the city centre. The bus service is very regular, we never had to wait more than 3 minutes for a bus into town. I can highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.

The hotel is definitely value for money. The staff is very polite, they provide very good service, and is very helpful especially the front office people. The menu at the restaurant is small but very tasty. All the areas at the hotel were very clean. The people at the front office explained to us in details how to use the bus+dram+metro and after that was very easy to use them. You save a lots of money by not using taxi. The climate for us was perfect since we were comming from a very hot weather ( Cyprus) nad the rainning was giving a very nice atmosphere. I liked everything about the hotel but one suggestion I could make is : The hotel need to create a separete area for thhe bar, with louder music . you could arrange the grill restaurant ( very good food) into a sports-bar concept. ( kkep the existing menu add some more starters + big TV screens + DJ music and keep it open until 2.00. With this arrangement you provide entertainment at the hotel and also you have a quiet relaxing envoroment at the hotel.

We liked the location, views and swimming pool. The breakfast was also very good. We did not liked the fact that the room downstairs (nr 12) was without air condition. Also on Friday there was some party late at night in the restaurant and lots of noise was disturbing our sleep. The waiters were moving the tables and chairs late after 1 o'clock in the morning making a lot of noise. Obviously we could not close our window cause we did not have air condition and it was very hot. Also you should try to do something with the wasps near the swimming pool.

Excellent hotel! Great location, facilities and friendly staff. Only 10- 15 mins away from the City Centre (bus stop is just outside hotel, so very convenient for commuting to & fro). Good food, cleanliness, quietness of the countryside, not expensive (meets budget requirements) and hotel caters for individual travel needs I.E. if not satisfied with anything they will make sure they try their best in accomodating your needs. Rooms are good size and clean. I would recomend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest!

What we haven't liked was the smell of the room and the fact that it was not clean. We found hairs on pillows and the tube was also not cleaned.
