The entry is not through the main gate of the domain. You have to go round back to enter, presumably the service entry.
There is no one at the actual reception of the hotel, we had to find somebody in some other building about 150 meters away, not a big deal. However found it difficult to talk in German, English or French. Also not a big problem.
The room itself is large and reasonably furnished. However, our room was stinky like a cave. I assume some water infiltration, sign of which you can also see on the room/bathroom wall.
The wifi does not work as described in the room leaflet. Could not connect, although we are hard computer users.
However, the part which bothers me the most is the breakfast. We are not the big breakfast kind of people, coffee and some eggs before a long trip sounded good though. That is why we booked the room with breakfast included and (as nothing is for free) paid for.
It turns out they do not have a restaurant. You are supposed to drive to some place that they have an arrangement with, and you can have breakfast there.
However they only open for breakfast at 9AM. This you do not find out in advance. We found out because we went there to see if we can grab some dinner (we could not, either).
Who's waits until 9 for some other place to open for breakfast? They might as well serve breakfast in the afternoon. Makes just as much sense.
Why they do advertise breakfast is a mystery.
That said, the hotel is overpriced, and the information presented on booking.com, inexact and therefore misleading you to book.
If we knew alt that we would have looked for something else.
We net there for an overnight stay, not related to the horses which are also shown in the pictures.
The hotel is in an old building with large rooms and high ceilings.
It is safe and quiet.
