Inn Side Hotel Kalvin House

Everything was really nicely, especially the work of the hotel staff! If I will be in Hungary again I stay there!

Very friendly staff. Cosy atmosphere. Very nice rooms. Convenient location.

Most rooms have no airco. Even with all windows open and the fan at full speed it was still 30 degrees C in my room. With all windows open I received a fair share of street noise. The total bill turned out to be €10 more expensive than quoted in booking.com due to exchange rate issues.

first of all is the hotel location,very close to the main city attractions or to the metro and tram station.very good breakfast.very helpful the reception staff,in particoular I want to mention Susan that gave me plenty of useful informations:If I'll return to Budapest Kalvin Haz will be my choice

Great english speaking staff, location was excellent one block from great market and Kalvin metro station. Excellent breakfast and rooms were huge and spacious.

It was close to the metro but also walking distance to restaurants and other things to do. My room had air conditioning which really came in handy as it was quite warm/sunny that week.

Odd to have safe deposit boxes in a central location rather than in the room but it was quite handy and useful. I liked the breakfast but as some people have written it's your typical breakfast and not too exciting.

Freindly, helpfull staff, good buffet breakfast, no frills basic hotel offers good value, no complaints would use again.

All the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts were ample to start the day and were replenished efficiently.

Comfy chairs in the suites would be advantageous.

We made the reservation mainly because of the hotel location in the city center, very close to the Danube, secondly because of the spacious rooms and the old house aspect. We were very excited to notice that actually the reality is the same with the description in other people comments. The staff was friendly.

Considering that the building is quite old, I believe it should be necessary the replacement of the outside windows with soundproofed ones. Maybe with wooden frame to keep its old look. The street the hotel is located on, is near a high traffic avenue and during the night even a small movement can be easily heard. The hotel doesn’t have a parking, but we were advised to go somewhere close to our street, where we can park the car for a reasonable 9-10 EUR/ day.

The staff at the hotel were extremely kind and helpful. It was easy to get to many interesting places in Budapest from the hotel. The hotel rooms were very large, well heated and comfortable.
