Comfortable room in a great location for walking around Budapest and many restaurants nearby. Fabulous helpful friendly staff. Good breakfasts. We don't see how you could beat Hotel Kalvin House for the price.

Good location to public transportation, dining and half block to Great Market. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet. We extended our stay at Kalvin House. It was recommended by friends and we shall recommend to others looking for a good value room.

We had easy access to all the sites of Budapest, the staff was great, the breakfast was basic. No airconditioning in our room and with windows open the noise from the street (especially late at night and during trash pickup early in the morning) was "wake you up" loud

Really spacious room with ceilings 6m high! A bit further from center than I expected, about 20-30m on foot. Really poor breakfast (nothing hot), though I never complain on it. "Early XX century furnishing" turned out to be shabby soviet-times items.

The hotel is near to the Dunabe River and Central Market Hall. It is very convenient for us to have a walk after dinner. The staff at the reception are very kind hearted who give us a lot of help. Also, every day, when I returned to my room, it is cleaned carefully even my nightwear is folded well. They may have forgotten to complete the soap and shampoo in time.

Friendly staff, great location and spacious rooms. Simple cold buffet breakfast. No bar / restaurant but snacks and drinks available and plenty of shops / bars / restaurants nearby.

An excellent location, super friendly helpful staff. The room was very comfortable, if a little coild. The location is just superb, 5 mins walk from Liberty Bridge. We would definately stay there again

The welcoming hostess is very valuable: ask whatever you want, they will answer you with the best tip or they will look for the best answer. I did not like beds with two separate bedcover (for a double room it is not the perfect cover)

Just at the center of the city, very close to Duna River and main shopping places. Clean and huge rooms with authentic design. I'll be choosing the same hotel next time I visit Budapest.

it was very good location, near metro station. people in the hotel is very nice and helpful. room is nice. we are in the 4th floor, roof building, quite room. i will definitely stay this hotel if i come back. Tao the toilet sometimes with smell, probably because there is no windown

Room was large, and staffs were very kind. The hotel is located near the Szabadsag hid and a tram station, so the access was very good. Because supermarket and restaurants can be easily found near this hotel, it was very comfortable to stay here.

The location was convenient and the hotel was clean with basic amenities and standard breakfast for this price range. Old style furniture added character to the spacious room. Noise level from street traffic is quite high in rooms facing the street, especially if the windows are opened because of hot weather. A fan is provided but there's no a/C. Wi-fi is unreliable.
