Good location to public transportation, dining and half block to Great Market. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet. We extended our stay at Kalvin House. It was recommended by friends and we shall recommend to others looking for a good value room.

location, comfy beds and that you could open the windows so they were wide open the extremely prickly plant in the bedroom that had razor like barbs,and that as a group of 6 mature friends we couldnt sit together at breakfast as the tables accomodated either 2 or 4 persons

Great location, 24-hour reception, handsome, spacious suite, fine breakfast (muesli, hooray). Room was cold on first night; covers were too small and could not be shared, that is, there were two twin-sized covers on the double bed; ceiling in living room was low -- furniture could be arranged to make it harder to hit one's head on beam

Staff was very helpful, friendly and able to give lots of insider information on Budapest; they made me feel welcome and at home. The location of the hotel is very convenient for both metro and walking (walking distance to all major sites). The rooms are spacious, bright and well-kept. I would recomend it to anyone looking for a good deal accomodation in one of the most beautiful parts of the town.

Rooms were extremely spacious and lots of storage space etc. Staff very helpful. They emailed offering a 20Euro transfer from airport, which we recommend if you aren't familiar with the language. They accept both Euros and Forints for both the transfer and hotel fee. Staff are all fluent in English. Breakfast was complimentary, and free wifi throughout hotel rooms was a nice touch. Location is good - within walking distance of town. Minutes from Kalvin Ter metro station, and hotel is very close to a restaurant district.

The Kalvin House was perfect for our trip to Budapest! The location is ideal, the staff extremely helpful, and the rooms comfy and spacious. High ceilings, large rooms, wood floors, comfortable beds, big bathrooms...perfect! The price does not reflect the level of comfort provided by this hotel. Very charming. If I ever head back to Budapest, I will stay here again! Highly recommended.

great offer, biggest value for money. 24 hours open reception, good assistance of the staff, who booked the taxi for us and even gave us the breakfast to take away, as we left at 4 in the morning to catch the flight very close to vaci ucta, 5 minutes by walking

The welcoming hostess is very valuable: ask whatever you want, they will answer you with the best tip or they will look for the best answer. I did not like beds with two separate bedcover (for a double room it is not the perfect cover)
