Great location, 15 min. from the Danube (Elizabeth Bridge or Royal Palace) ... quiet, tidy, warm and comfortable place to stay, with the possibility of provision of free parking. Relation between price and quality is more than good ...a strong recommendation!

Wanted a hotel with free parking and easy access to the center. Parking area is very small, but there is free parking on the street as well, the area is safe. Has a garden. Overall, I had the feeling that the guesthouse is best suited for groups. A bit out of the way; public transport at 100-200 meters but you'll have to exchange trams/buses to get to most spots downtown. Rooms are functional but a bit outdated, as is the house, in general. Still, decent value.

For the price it really doesn't get better than this. Obviously you don't expect luxury, but all the basics are there including TV and Wifi. Had a private room with key access to the garden and main building so I could come and go as I pleased. Absolutely no complaints. Would return

Old, quiet location, cozy room. Fast travel to all locations via tram and subway, walking distance to Buda cestle, Danube and Citadel. Our shower drain didn't work well, so excess of water would come up trough the floor and slowly go back.

Wi-fi works Not clean, flooded bathroom, my girlfriend and I booked a double-room - we got the room with 2 single beds...They have 11 rooms and 3 parking places, so don´t bother to reserve parking - we reserve it but did not get it. Overused sheets don´t cover the whole bed, and communication is impossible because lady who works there don´t speak English.

First the place which is located in: near downtown, in a quite area, safe and with plenty of green. At the Guesthouse there is safety for your things, and no time-hour restrictions for coming in and going out. There is hot water in the bathroom, which is private, a thing not bad with regard to the price. Something very important, there is wi-fi at the rooms, and it works indeed, at least that´s my experience. 1. The sheets were very old and very overused. 2. The floor carpets were surprisingly dirty (I took them and put them away). 3. There was no phone in the room (not even a pre-paid phone service). 4. There was no way (phone extension, etc.) to locate and call the personal of the place if you had necessity to ask something or to ask for something.

Guesthouse Kis Gellert is a nice hotel for nice moments. I lived there seven days with my girlfriend, and if I would travel back to Budapest, I would book room there again. Nobody changed the bed sheet for seven days.

Staying 1 night. Visited Budapest on a way to Croatia. House located ca 15 minutes walk from Duna, the Royal Castle, 5 minutes to Gellerthegy hill. Location ideal for visiting the town. Parking - on the possesion. House owner speaking very little english, we had some communication problems. Room with a little less than medium standard but ok for this price and one night only. Not for a longer stay. Inside and outside of the house look for the late 80's (XX century of course).

Quiet area, great price, easy free parking. Ideal for motorcyclists because most attractions are too far to walk but easy motorcycle parking everywhere in Budapest.

It is a very quiet place. Really near to the city center and ofcourse near to World Trade Center. I dislike hotels, so it was a very nice place for me, clean and quiet. If I will have in the future conference in WTC I will stay in this place again.

We loved the atmosphere of the house. It was as if we were guests, staying in some private house. Very nice garden and kitchen but a little bit too noisy in the morning. I would recommend this hotel to a group of friends.

It has a very nice garden in front of the house, where you can relax. It is located not far from the citadel, and just a few bus stops from the city, which was OK if you have free transportation (Budapest card or similar). Bathroom was flooded which was very annoying! Room wasn't very clean.

Perfect location for walking trips (15-20min to old town, 10min to Gellert Hill), fantastic district (green, with mostly old villas), very good value for money, nice staff (although very basic English), lightning-fast WiFi - 18Mbit/s (yes, 18) :) free kitchen (coffee / tea), tidy room, clean bathroom with hot water 24h :) garden where you can have your breakfast, romantic interior.
