Kis Gellert Guesthouse  

Julia, the hostess, makes you feel at home the very instant you walk into the garden surrounding the mansion. The furniture is old, and it gives you a better impression of the place. Definitely, one of the best places we ever staid.

Closed parking area voor our motorcycles and the nearby busstop to get into town. Not far from the centre of Budapest.

The hotel is comfortable, simple and the lady in charge is very helpful. The Garden is beautiful and the location is near of train and very silent.

Located in a quiet green area. Free parking on the street. Shopping mall with a supermarket nearby. Close enough to the city center.

We booked a double room but instead they gave us a twin room with separate beds. The room was on the ground floor with many bugs, spiders, moscitoes and ants coming from outside.

beautiful location, good value for money

Nice place in a very green and quiet area. Historic sites are just a couple tram stops away, and the tram stop is just around the corner. A good restaurant & pub with good food and beer is just around the corner as well. Free parking & free Wifi.

you could make yourself tea/coffee at anytime and come and go as you please and staff helpful and room warm

good for the price and if you are on a budget but if it you are looking for something up market this will not be up your street

What's not to like - 'manager' was incredibly helpful, clean & spacious rooms. Walking distance to the Palace and citadel and 3 bus stops to the Pest side of the river, and a great place for food & drink 5 minutes away. There's also a shopping centre a little further. Excellent value for money

Can't think of anything not to like. Place was fantastic

Friendly staff and most of all, a very firm bed. I don't like soft mattresses so this was great.

Nice place just out of the city center, easy to reach with bus lines, eventually on foot if you don't mind a brisk walk, helpful staff, massive room with separate bathroom, lots of hot water

This was a good value comfortable guest house within walking distance of the city of Budepest and all it's sights. Good shopping and restaurants within 5 minutes. The lady who runs it was very friendly and helpful and there was secure parking.

Very good location (quiet street, just a few bus stops away from the centre, MOM Park, a big mall with restaurants and shops, is just 5 minutes away), friendly and helpful staff, clean room. Private parking. Great value for the price.

A rock band had a rehearsal in the cellar under the building for 2 hours. Was a bit annoying, but they finished at 7 pm, so did not disturb the night rest of the guests.

15 minutes walk from city centre, cheap, nice people, very quiet.

During last stay in November, it was to hot in house (alto most of people liked this)

Lovely quiet place not far from the center. Original atmosphere of Budapest.

The location is perfect, close to shopping centers, cinemas and main lines of public transport (tramway), 10-15 minutes walk from a metro line. The rooms are very calm in a nice neighborhood, they allow for great rest. The rooms are clean, bathroom and toilet in the room.

The furniture is very old, but more than acceptable for the proposed price and for the hostel level. The bed was changed only every 5 days, which seems to correspond to the hostel's rules. Check out at 11 AM is early.

Hostel was relatively cheap, completely quiet, close to the Budim fortress and the best view of the town. It is relatively close to the center of the city (walking distance), yet it's a bit up-hill for a walk.

Compared to the price, there's really nothing I could complaint about. A few spider-webs :-), or perhaps not the best choice of colors for the room furniture are the "worst things". So - actually, everything was fine!

It was pleasure to stay there, because of silence, beutiful garden, the location,very near of tram, bus station. It was very clean the room, the lady in charge very kind and helpful. I enjoyed to be in Kis Gellert Guesthouse 4 nights. My holiday was very short, I left that place with pain in my heart.

A little off the beaten path, though accessible by bus.

Price, location, parking, free internet. Room for 3 people is quite interesting as well as district where guesthouse is located.
