Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget  

Quiet location: on the Margit-island on the Danube, between the two sides of Budapest, in the middle of a huge park. Details of the room: the balcony, many electric outlets for chargers and laptop. Comfortably firm bed, excellent airconditioning, extra pillow and blanket in the huge wardrobe, many removable coat hangers, many drawers, excellent light and magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Bathrobe.Everything is spotless clean, even at the unseen places. Breakfast in bed for a 10% service charge. Laundry service, shoeshine towel.

The temperature of the water changes unexpectedly during showering. The shower screen useless: if the shower head is on the wall, (because you can use it as a handheld shower too) all the excess water literally creates a pool on the bathroom floor. Complicated wifi paying system. The two single bed made up our double bed were prone to slip away from each other.

The hotel is far from the central you have to take abus and metro .I left the hotel after two days and stay at the Marriott hotel in the city.

It was nice relaxing and friendly. We will be staying there once again. Andrey

Fantastic thermal spa resort

Old equipment in the lavatory and old sanitary system

Nice large room with good view. Hotel part of the building was spacious and 4* with granite/marble surfaces, etc. Choice of restuarants and bars was very good

The spa part of the building was not 4*, I would rate it as 3* for design, appearance, facilities, and atmoshpere. The spa staff (not the staff in the hotel, only the ones in the spa area and in the spa treatments area) were totally uninterested in giving good customer service. The treatments in the spa were too expensive and were of a very very poor quality. The staff definately had good skills, but did not perform in a way to give satisfaction to the clients. Dissapointing.

Excelent location.

Excellent location, good value for money, amazing spa in the hotel. We visit the hotel at least twice a year and will come again.

Expensive breakfast and internet

We liked location of the hotel, which is situated on a beautiful Margit island but yet not too far from the city center, which you can easily reach by bus, tram or on foot (20 or 30 minutes) or you can rent bikes for a tour as we did. The spa area, fitness center and the outdoor swimming pool are great and the staff is kind. The rooms are spacious and have balcony overviwed Danube river. We have become regular guessts.

Indoor swimmingpull is a bit cold. Breakfast is not included in a room price and it is overrated.

The spa and fitness is wonderful. The location is excellent - on the island. Which gives the filling of nature, and very close to the city. Very good public transportation which makes it accessible /

The food is very poor and usual considering the fact it's Hungary, that famous with it's good food. We had to go to the town for dinner and it was not so comfortable. the front desk people were unsociable, which gives bed filling. even my try to get answers to my questions about the bill before leaving met unfriendly attitude and caused me to give up.
