Marmara Hotel Budapest  

I don't know who gave the Marmara a 4 star rating as it is one of the filthiest hotels I have stay in anywhere in the world. The rugs were so dirty you had to wear shoes all the time, the black pillows were gross, the heater on the bathroom wall was covered with dust as were the lamps in the bedroom. There were 11 of us in our group and everyone felt the same! Please put these comments in what I didn't like about the hotel as I didn't read the questions correctly before I wrote this. Thanks. There is nothing I liked about this hotel!!

Clean room and helpful staff.

Room was very small,the lighting and view were poor. Enquired about an upgrade on arrival,was told no other rooms were available and that all rooms had a similar view to the one in 224. We were disappointed with the standard of the breakfast particularly the quality of the cold and cooked meats.

If it is possible, choose room oriented back-yard. Some of front oriented rooms are noisy.

Great price and location, helpful staff, comfort package includes airport pick up.. A very nice treat.

In the reception is very cigarette smoke stinks, rooms cleaned very badly in the shower at all corners of mold and Plesen, no indoor slippers, bath robes, under the bed was very muddily even packaging of condom. The hotel does not correspond to those stars that he was assigned. Note that the hotel is located near the street Vacі, which is central, but note that this is another street Vacі - no central!!!

Unfortunately we can only thank the attentive service at the reception (man) and the taxi driver, working in hotels (Mercedes), the damage that not remember their names.

The hotel is the best solution for people who want to visit the city, staying in a quiet but almost central position. It is excellent if you arrive in the city by flight, because the hotel is very near to the west station, and you only have to take a train to get there form the airport. If you like walking, you can easily reach and visit Pest and Margit zsiget. Trams and metro are very near if you want to go a little bit more far (Buda and the castle). Some restaurants are also near there, and a shopping center too. Breakfast is great, you can choose among a big variety of food, it is almost like a brunch! Sleeping is very comfortable and quiet. The personnel is always kind and helpful.

Be sure they know if you are a no-smoker. We were at the wrong floor, but we realized that too late!

Good location to see all the sights in the city.

Dark rooms, missed a big window in the room. And the balcony was very small, not what I expected. Other than that a very nice room.

This new hotel is located in the pest side. It is only 50 metres from one of the main road where people can have easy access to tram 4, 6 and metro as well, therefore is of really high convenience. In addition, the hotel is very clean and nicely designed. The hotel staffs speak very good English so there is no language barriar and the breakfast every morning is delicious.

You would find every thing one would like to have in a standard world class hotel. Cleanliness, standards, excellant staff, comfort and facilities, room services and standard breakfast etc all appreciable.

Every thing in the hotel is appreciable.
