Good and quiet position. Nothing special but everything is OK .
We had to quit at 4.00 am so they give us the breakfast to take away and eat it at the airport... very kind!
Very good location, Wi-Fi signal is so so, reception is quite helpful
Smelly in the room and the facilities is old
Location of the hotel is excellent, very close to all public traffic stations. Staff was very friendly.
The floor of the room was creeky. Beds were too soft for my taste. Chairs in the restaurant were too small for me.
Clean hotel, nice view and right in the center.
- Small parking - We booked a parking place and when we got there we were told that the parking is full. After discussions the maanger took out his car and let us in his place. It was ok in the end.
Location was good. Easy to walk out for dinner etc. with excellent links to rest of City. Staff were friendly but apart from water only other services available was breakfast (plenty coffee bars etc. close by so no problem). Breakfast could best be described as adequate .The majority of guests were Russian who all seemed to enjoy large quantities! The room on the 10th floor was absolutely 5 star with all facilities and a very large terrace overlooking the whole of Budapest's beautiful features and by night was just like Disneyland! We stayed in room 1001 but room 1002 also looked good. Additionally there were 2 apartments for rent on tenth floor but do not think they had the views over the main historic buildings. Understand the 9th floor also renovated with some balconies which were small compared to the vast terrace we had. Breakfast room was definitely 2/3 star and was a bit like a school canteen with scraping chairs etc. but was serviceable. Remainder of building was fine from the outside but think the rooms below 9 could be 1 star!! Value for money was great both in terms of the hotel and local amenities. Would stay again but only if I got the right room!
Lift was a little noisy for a light sleeper - eplugs?
Chose this hotel as ideally located in the centre of Budapest and near the bars / restaurants around the Octagon area. Rooms being refurbished to a high standard and couldn't fault the comfort. Staff very helpful on the front desk. Definitely recommend to those on a budget weekender to this great city
No Bar was a slight disappointment but there's a small corner wine bar to the rear of the hotel where you can get your 80p pint. The 2 lifts are on the small side and if on the top floors walking down ok, but wouldn't recommend walking up to the 10th.
Good location. Nice clean room. Excellent breakfast.
No ventilation in the bathroom.
The view from my 9th floor balcony was amazing Also interesting & pleasant walks in all directions.I enjoyed an early morning walk up Andrassy Avenue to Heroes Square admiring the mansions from a bygone era along the way & browsing through numerous museums on the way back to Medosz. Walks down Andrassy can lead to the Jewish Quarter, the Danube, across the Chain Bridge to Buda with all it has to offer including my favourite view of Parliament & so much more.Great coffee shops and restaurants are close by too.
Meedosz was a very nice hotel right by Andrassy Ave. There were tons of good restaurants right across Andrassy and the hotel was not too far from some of the main attractions (maybe a 10-15 minute walk Parliament and the Chain Bridge). The staff was very friendly/helpful, our room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and we had a nice view of the courtyard in front of the hotel from our room. We would definitely stay here again.
The breakfast was okay. There were tons of cold meats and cheeses to pick from, but that is not really my type of breakfast, so my options were slightly limited. The hotel was somewhat expensive for Budapest, but reasonably priced compared to the other 3 countries we visited.
wifi was a poor link...also the drunks on friday and sat night very loud
The location is very good, at the foot of the Andrassy avenue and everything is in walking distance..the other side of the road there are lots of cool restaurants.. Breakfast was delicious and they have a good coffee machine. The room is nice, basic but oke. They had a good price for this very good location.
The bed was terrible, we were asking a kingbett instead of 2 single beds but we got the 2 single beds..they were moving from each other all the time.. Wifi tried to work but with not so much success..
Easy to park on the street, excellent location close to bars restaurants and the opera
Clean rooms, great service, excellent quality
Good location, clean and tidy room.
Parking for motorcycle was not available, got room with 2 beds while asked for big one.
I took a 2 week trip through Europe that included stays in 6 different hotels. Of the six, this was my absolute favorite. The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was good, the room was nice, and the price was fair. It was perfect. I wish all hotels were like this one. I highly recommend this hotel.
There was nothing that I did not like about this hotel.
- localization - cleanness - silence, even there is a music club in the yard - air condition
- poor English of one of the clerks, but the other one, perfect - stomach issue (me and my wife so it's not coincidence) after breakfast's scrambled egg - safe box in the room couldn't have been programmed (even though batteries were changed by the staff it didn't worked so I guess it's broken) (yes, I know how to use it)
Location, Comfort, Breakfast
The hotel has a good quality-price ratio. The breakfast is wide. the position is closed the subway station.
This hotel has got everything. The location is the best for a tourist in Budapest as it is located in the center. All bus stops are in 50 meters distance, even the hop on-hop off bus stop. Good breakfast, extremely helpful personnel. It is a sure comeback hotel
Can't recall anything we did not like in this hotel.
Good sized room, Nicely furnished. Good breakfast.
1. The top hinge of one door of french doors was broken and could easily have fallen in an unsuspecting occupant. 2. Air conditioning was hard to work.
Very small parking in the hotel.
Curtains are completely unable to cover the morning light. Bring with you a sleeping mask, otherwise at 6,00 am you ll get awake. Really unconfortable.
