The lobby is nice and modern, unlike the rest of the hotel. However, it is always full of smoke. The rooms and corridors betray a state of decadence. Maybe 30 years ago this was a 4* hotel, but certainly not any more. The furniture was old and the bathtub was clogged. I asked for it to be fixed several times, but to no avail. The internet did not work most of the time in the room, which forced me to spend a lot of time in the smoke-filled lobby, giving me a headache. It has been over 10 years since I've been to a European hotel lobby where smoking is aloud. Most of the staff did not speak English, and those who did speak it did not seem to be well-informed on even the most basic stuff, such as "where can I leave my luggage?", Or, "do you work with any frequent flyer programme?", Or, "why is the elevator not working?" I have stayed in way better places in Budapest for the same price, so I really cannot find any reason to go back to this place.

Good location - close to the subway and the Buda castle. Air-conditioning was not working as expected - we couldn't change temperature, just intense.

- A real 4-star hotel, cleanliness of the rooms and services (internet for free, pay tv, very good breakfast) - buda castle withing reach ... 5-min nice walk - good value for money - Staff personnel at the reception barely speaks english - not convenient to reach the city center by foot ... however the hotel is close to the sub-way so it's not a big deal during the day - maid personnel was making a lot of noise and talking loydly (literally crying) since 7am ... think this is unaccetable for a 4-star hotel (our room was in front of the service room! ... but all the rooms along the corridor were affected by the same problem I think) - full of tourists during peak seasons so it's a bit crowded in general .. this may result in people walking up and down the corridor at night and making noise

It was in a good location, close to the main touristic points. Quiet noise early in the morning because of the rail station behind the hotel. When asked to change the room the other side I been explained that the other side will be more noise from the tram.

The location is excellent. Its 3 min walk fom the Metro which connects you to any part of the city. Rooms are clean, the lifts are working. Robert at the front desk was very helpful. We would like to thank all the staff on his behalf. We strongly recomend the hotel if you are not looking for luxury.

The location was convenient, close to the castle hill, but not many restaurants or shops nearby. It is in a quiet location and close to a tube station. Staff very friendly and accomodating. We booked a room with two single beds, but got one with a double bed. As the hotel was fully booked, we could not switch rooms and were offered a foldup bed to be put in the room. It was hard and uncomfortable, and the sheets provided were too small for it. The bath was very grubby, it had a grey film over it and the drain was blocked. I had to shower wearing flip flops because I wouldn't have touched that bath if I was paid for it. In general, the whole room was a bit tired and worn.

Somebody pointed out my room number in restorant during breakfast. Of course, hotel staff did not take money, but I should write a note that it was not my bill.
