Comfortable, easy transport connections, spacious room, good conference facilities. Clean.
Was asked for a hefty deposit at check in for the contents of the mini bar!! I have stayed in A LOT of business hotels and have never had this before - not a good welcome.
We liked the clean rooms and the housekeepers were kind and flexible. The breakfeast is everything you could wish fore. Reception had 24h service. Check in and check out went smoothly.
location was good for us as we were leaving from Deli station. Good food in restaurant and breakfast. Excellent locked bike storage within garage with controlled entrance. Staff helpful and spoke good English. Hotel is only 10 mins walk from the Chain Bridge..
With the windows open on the station side there is noise from the trains. The area around the station is rough and unwelcoming. Bed not brilliant in our standard room the decor was a bit tired.
on the priecy side
Great location next to Metro and train station.
Only one electric outlet in room. We have 2 laptops, 2 iPads and 2 iPhones. With only one useable outlet it was impossible to charge the batteries and use the equipment. Modern travelers need to check into work.
Location, free wifi - both points in favour of this hotel. Staff are nice.
Pretty much everything else was disappointing. The breakfast was awful and dry. The carpets were filthy. Some floors had been refurbished and others hadn't. Couldn't adjust the air con at all. Really small. I think there is better in this price bracket more central in town.
The lobby bar is excellent. The souvenir shop has the same prices as in the city center and a good variety of gifts. The room was soundproof. We could use a PC and printer in the lobby for free.
The room cleaning was mediocre. They even left us without any soap once.
Free parking behind the hotel, large and comfortable room, extra bed for child under 15 at no further costs, quiet location, proximity to city center. I would definitly recommend this hotel to anyone and I will stay here again on my next trip to Budapest.
I stayed here for 5 nights. It was the perfect location. I walked everywhere. The breakfast was really good. The wifi always worked. There is a train station right behind it that has an international counter so you can buy your tickets there.i will go back.
I liked everything.
quiet good air conditioning excellent water pressure in the shower, quick temperature adjustment pretty close to city center personnell at front desk ordered a taxi for me in the morning and it arrived as requested
The Location of the Hotel is the only plus.
I have stayed at a few other Mercure hotels in the past but this one feels dated. The AirCon was very noisy and the restaurant had very limited options esp. for Veggie folks.
Walking distance to castle district and chain bridge Polite, friendly staff Good food at the restaurant downstairs Got a free upgrade to junior suite Non-smoking FLOOR! Excellent wifi
A small renovation on the bathroom facility would do miles for the hotel
Breakfast was ok. WiFi worked well. good location - close to metro stop.
Not a 4* hotel, its quite old. In the room was only one pair of slippers and one bath robe, but we were two people. I have already been to better mercure hotel for more reasonable price.
The bathrobe. The bed was comfortable. The fridge in the room. Coffee and tea in the room with kettle. The steak in the hotel restaurant was great.
There was no black tea in the room only earl grey.
Great location from which to explore the city and its surrounds. We did nopt take breakfast as we viewed it as being expensive and plenty of other options available in the town.
As above. Totally recommend! Didn't use for eating - as wonderful restaurants nearby - so cannot comment on cuisine.
Location - 20 minutes walk from Castle Hill, but there are lots of stairs on your way. 25 minutes walk on the other way of Danube Easy access from the motorway
Old decoration of hotel - rooms must have been renovated at least 15 years ago. The hotel has blocked 150.000 HUF (around 500 Euro) deposit on my card - although 6 days have passed, the sum of the deposit is still blocked on my card. Location takes quite a walk to Danube. No restaurants around hotel (only nasty kebab in the Underground).
Location was okay for a visitor of the Sziget festival
My room hasn't been cleaned not even once while I was staying at the hotel (3 nights). Poor breakfast choice, noisy air conditioner. Rooms are pretty old and bed was not really comfortable. It's more like an average 3-stars hotel than a 4* hotel chain.
Our expectation were fulfilled. had no problems with presonnel. They were quite helpful and neet though it seems that they always doesn't understand english. Hotel location and breakfast were good. Rooms were ok and in the end we didn't pay fortunes for that.
Weird acting room service on first day. Otherwise no complaints towards personnel. Shower experience was little compligated as I am tall guy and showers was intsalled in away that I needed to crouch in order to clean myself properly. All in all it was quite good hotel for the price we paid so there wasn't much that didn't like.
The location is great; there is sub-way and supermarket very close to the hotel. The view from the front side of the hotel is breath-taking! Also the wifi was very fast! The staff was also very helpful with any query we had, the service was excellent.
The air-conditioning simply moves air around, but doesn't actually chill the room. This is a recurring complaint from all previous patrons and it is sad to see that this hasn't been addressed yet. The carpets in the hall are stained, which is not a nice view.
Everything is good. Very good. Just come and see.
It was close to the Deli station, near the city center and good restaurants. Good price and excellent facilities. I totally recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was not included so I didn't try it. Also I didn't try the restaurant because there are a couple of really good restaurants near the hotel.
Good wifi and location
Beds were not made, poor ac in original room.
convenient for Deli station though could do with signposting
rather soft bed
