Everything but especially the location and fantastic dinner in hotel's restaurant
Bit of a rattle from A/C
Nice breakfast, clean hotel, the metro and tram station is just in front of the hotel, very kind and helpful staff!
A little small room and especially bathroom. There wasn't enough space to leave our stuff.
Staff friendly and polite. Good location. Great breakfast. Cleand and modern rooms.
Rooms too small, especially for 2 people.
Location, cleanliness, very helpful staff, breakfast selection
Bathroom is cramped
Went with friends beginning of December. The hotel was excellent, staff very helpful. No complaints at all.
The staff Good location
The breakfast could have been better-offering a bit more hot variety of food.
Staff: excellent, all polite and helpful with exceptional English. Room: modern, comfortable, all requirements available. Bathroom: fantastic shower, proper bath towels Location: not quite city centre but fairly easy walking to all main areas Breakfast was outstanding!
I don't want to use the word dislike but a word of warning; prices in the hotel were quite high, especially for Budapest. A drink in a nearby bar was about 300 F. in the hotel nearly 3,000f.!! But, you choose where you want to go.
Decoration and the style of the hotel, breakfast, kindness of the staff, room size
Everything. The location is superb, situated a few steps from a Metro station and a tram stop. In walking distance from Danube (20-25 minutes from Vaci utca). The staff was very helpful and kind, either when we seeked directions or recommendations. The breakfast was superb, great variety and quality of buffet. All in all, it highly deserves its rating, I would probably stay again there in a future visit. Last but not least, the bed was huge in a standard double room, super comfortable, making it hard to get up in the morning!
The only slight inconvenience was the weird bathtub/shower, you had to be careful not to flood the floor and thus did not really enjoyed any shower I had. If I understand correctly, this bathroom design is fairly common in Budapest, but can't really understand the logic behind it. Just a tiny complaint compared to an overall very satisfying experience.
Great city to visit and great hotel to stay in! Metro and trams right outside the door as well as just a short walk to the Danube
staff were excellent. good breakfast.
shower room flooded and we had to move room. Staff were excellent still in how they handled the situation.
Architecture, quality of everything, service mindset of staff
Bathroom is quite small and price went up quite a bit compared to a while ago
Location is next to metro and there is a supermarket very close to it. The room was very quiet, breakfast was nice, the New York Cafe is a block away. It is near to the famous Szimpla kert pub. We were very satisfied.
Good location near transport links. Ten minute walk into centre, and very close to famous new York cafe, and szimpla cert ruin bar.
shower access was hampered by roof slope, and had to hold shower head as no hook above
The comfort of the beds. Also location.
Bar a bit soul less
Breakfast is great. The room was very big. Sleepers, bathrobe and kettle make you feel home. Super friendly room clearners!
It is no major deal, but you need to re-log for the wifi every now and then. Only one lift for the hotel makes you have to wait sometimes.
First impression when I saw the Hotel it looks like 5 stars Hotel. 2 steps from the metro station, the hotel located in very central location in Budapest, around the hotel a lot of shops, restaurants that work till late night. The breakfast was ultra impressive, probably the largest I ever saw).
Best value for money
The actual hotel is beautiful, the staff are so incredibly friendly, location is perfect - not in town but only a couple of streets away - facilities are perfect. I cannot think of any negative aspect of my experience. I loved every minute and would go back to Budapest just to stay here.
Beatiful hotel, clean, great staff, excelente breakfast.
Location could be better. Choose back rooms to avoid noise of the cars. Mine was great.
We arrived at Hotel Nemzeti Budapest Mgallery at 10am on a Sunday morning. The extremely kind staff allowed us to check into our room right away even though check in time was later. The staff was helpful and friendly at every opportunity. The hotel itself is very grand and also very modern. It was the most traditionally luxurious hotel we enjoy on this trip. We loved the location at Blaha Lujza Ter which is a major tram and metro hub. From here, it was very easy to get anywhere in the city very fast. It was also easy to walk to some great sites and restaurants. Our room was very modern, clean, quiet and comfortable. We highly recommend Hotel Nemzeti Budapest Mgallery and plan to return as soon as possible.
The room was modern and stylish, but most importantly comfortable! The bed was amazing. We had 4 nights wonderful sleep. The breakfast was great, and as we were offered a deal on checkin it was well worth it! Staff were very friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay when visiting the city again
Nothing not to like!
