Good location right in the town centre, with comfortable bedrooms. Staff didn't speak English and seemed unfriendly. Bathrooms were small and one of them very smelly (from canalization...). Poor served breakfast (only choice of eggs - ham and eggs or omelette or scramble eggs...) althought there was a buffet breakfast mentioned in description. Not value for money. |

We selected your hotel based on Rick Steve's recommendation from his travel books. We thorougly agree that the staff was helpful and friendly; the location was perfect; the restaurant was gourmet; and the rooms were comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the music in the square with our dinner. It was a great end to a busy travel day. |

The room was really nice and the location very good. The food in the restaurant downstairs was most enjoyable. We were a bit surprised when we left that they wanted us to pay in euro. They charged us a commission when we paid the accommodation in Hungarian Forints which is the currency of the country! |

The location is lovely, in a 18th century building next to a footbridge over a stream, and just steps from the beautiful city square. After we asked the staff showed us the Guinness World Record-holding sugar sculptures upstairs - very cool! Our "double bed" was two single beds pushed together. This seems to be common practice in Hungary though, so it wasn't a surprise. |

Good location to walk around the old city area.Small, family owned and full of charm. It is really our problem that we do not speak Hungarian not theirs. The staff was friendly and wanted to make our stay a pleasant one but there is a language barrier. This is expected but it does require that guests be equipped with their own books, maps, etc. for planning their own activities. |

It was the best hotel in the city-right on the main square with a view of the castle on one side and the cathedral on the other. The staff were friendly and accomodating. There were two restaurants, one more formal and the other very comfortalbe and casual. The weather was beautifuls o the outside patio was also open for eating with an orchestra playing on the pedstrian mall. Nothing |

Centrale mooie ligging. Aardig eten. Zeer schoon.

The Hotel Senator Ház in Eger can be found in a delightful 18th-century town house, situated on the historical main square (Dobó tér) of Eger, a few metres from the castle ramparts. |
