Friendly, helpfull staf, personal attention, lots of choices at breakfast, clean room, good location, safe area

Maybe For soms people the mattresses are too hard.

I loved everything about the Opera Gardens Hotel. When I approached the front door it opened automatically and as I turned toward the front desk, this charming, helpful, and professional young man came out from an office door to great me. He left a small bottle of wine with a note in the room, which was gorgeous! High-end design yet ultimate comfort. Full kitchen too! The room service food (at least soup and salad) was superb! The breakfast buffet was top notch! I could walk to every place I needed to go, especially the unbelievably beautiful opera house one block away. I strongly recommend this establishment!

That I didn't stay longer!

The attitude of the stuff towards us was excellent, breakfast was rich and various, good WiFi, very close to the City Center, too many cafe's and restaurants near by, clean facilities, lovely terrasse on the top floor where you can enjoy.

Too hot despite air-conditioning because the hotel is a house adapted to be a Hotel (which is very well done) and its location is between old buildings and there isn't airflow, too much crowd and noise if you look on the side of the restaurant from the street. P.S. To be aware from Change offices in the city (commission is variable), then MUST be aware from the parking fees (they put small letters on the bottom??? and be careful - read them first) and finally, beware from the restaurants and their prices (you will always pay more then you should).

Staff wonderful especially Bela at front desk. We were upgraded to 2 bed apartment. Lovely beds, linen etc and perfect location. Easy walking and the piano bar restaurant opposite was superb

Very friendly staff. Rooftop terrace was lovely to relax in after a day's sightseeing, and there was an honesty bar, so you could enjoy a beer or glass of wine and the rooftop view. Sangria each evening in the hotel lobby for you to grab a glass on your way back up to your room. Rooms were lovely and spacious. Staff happy to assist in booking taxis/tickets to the Szechenyi baths & other attractions. Great location. Great breakfast choices. All in all, a lovely boutique hotel, small but the space available has been put to extremely good use and it offers all the facilities you'd expect.

Mattress was too firm for our taste but otherwise all was perfect.

The 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for a family of 4. Great location. We did a tour of the Opera house which is just up the road. Catering and cleaning staff very helpful and friendly. We loved the banana smoothies.

When we arrived the receptionist on duty wasn't very welcoming.

Really enjoyed our stay with this hotel, the location was very good as everything was in walking distance. Had a nice clean look to the place and the spa and sauna was a really nice touch after a day of seeing the sites and also enjoyed the free hot mulled wine before bed :)

Breakfast room was too small for purpose

This is first hotel I have visited second time and I will visit it again. My first visit was in cca 2009 and I must say, now I found only good improvements. Welcome card at the table, welcome wine, free hot wine at the lift, helpful staff...those little things make you feel like you are really welcome here... Even its not directly in the room, you can ask for everything at the reception and you will have it in minute...bathrobe, slippers, extra pillow.... Great restaurants and bars are very close to the hotel

Some small difficulties when parking on the street, its better to use park house close to the hotel...also little bit small place for breakfast bufet...especially on Saturday it was little bit crowdy

The service is fantastic and the location is close to everything

The hotel is on a pedestrian street opposite some bars which stay open late, hence there can be some noise, but not a big problem

Some part of the hotel were a bit small due to the lack of space.

The breakfast offered was the best I've ever experienced at a hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I was surprised how nice and spacious the rooms were. The location was great also! Definitely would recommend.

The bathroom was a bit small.

Have stayed a number of times and have had an excelkent experience each time. Great, friendly service. Excellent amenities and well appointed rooms. Lots of nice little touches too (a 'pillow menu' for example, where you can order a range of different pillows to suit your tastes through room service) and their new smartphone app is really handy too, which allows you to send messages to reception when you are out and about in budapest.

Very nice hotel located on the Pest side of the Danube. We stayed here for 3 nights. Location is great. Not too far from the main station and lots of choices for restaurants, cafes and bars. The room has a small kitchenette which is so handy and the room is quite roomy. Good service at the front desk and great breakfast with lots of variety.

Bathroom is tiny.

Good value considering low price. Place is nice, between an appartment and a hotel room, breakfast was tasty. We were on a short trip on the New Years holiday, as the hotel was fully booked for the next days, personnel was helpful finding us another hotel
