Opera Garden Hotel & Apartments  

Extremely nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with all the appliances one could want. Quiet room and the breakfast buffet was worth twice the price.

It was very comfortable, quiet street, close to everything, air conditioned, good breakfast. I would recommend.

Excellent hotel. Staff were very kind and helpfull, fast check-in and check-out. Spotless room. Location is great, only 2 minutes walk from Andrasy Ut. And metro " Opera".

No problems at all. Breakfast is good, the breakfast room is small and, if the hotel is fully booked, it can be troublesome to get a table. But we had this problem only once and staff arranged a breakfast at our own room (free of charge).

Great location near attractions and public transportation. Very nicely appointed and comfortable rooms, great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

This is a fantastic apartment hotel. It is very centrally located yet off the main streets and so away from any noise. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was perfect for our group. The rooms are spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated and very well equipped. The complementary welcome bottle of wine was a lovely touch. The breakfast is excellent and the roof terrace is stunning (although we didn't get to use it purely due to the bad weather). The staff were really friendly and helpful and knowledgeable of local attractions and restaurants etc. This place is excellent value for money and we would definately stay here again.

The room is very nice, the location is perfect. The breakfasts were poor for the men. Toilet accessories were not changed. Although the room price was only 130 Euros, they blocked 63000 forints on my card, saying that it is the same amount of money, after that I received the bill only for 43000 forints. The girl-receptionist denied to solve this problem.

We stayed at the Opera Garden while visiting Budapest for a short winter break and cannot recommend it highly enough. The hotel is within a beautiful old building and the interior is chic and modern whilst retaining original character. The hotel is arranged around a central courtyard which would be wonderful for relaxing with a drink in the summer. Our room was spacious, clean and stylish with a handy kitchenette. What really made our stay special were the extra touches: a complementary welcome glass of wine in the room on arrival; complementary mulled wine on a little table by the lift every evening; a personalised note from the housekeeper every day; champagne at breakfast; high-end complementary toiletries. The staff were warm and friendly yet professional. The location of the hotel is ideal for anyone visiting Budapest on holiday. It is within a 5 minute walk to two metro stations on different lines. However, we didn't feel the need to use the metro at all, since the Opera Garden is situated right in the middle of everything. We didn't know Budapest at all before we booked our hotel, but were pleased to find that just about everything we wanted to reach (restaurants, cafes, ruin pubs, the terror museum, city park, the river, the inner town, etc) was within walking distance.

The only slightly negative point was that the breakfast room could have been more spacious. However, this negative was outweighed by the friendly and obliging waiting staff, who made breakfast a pleasant experience.

This hotel is ideal combination of good price, design and comfort + perfect location.
