Hotel Papillon    

Good location, 10 minutes to metro Batthyany ter and Duna embankment opposite Parlament building. 15 minutes to Buda castle. Hotel is located on very quiet street. WiFi in the room. The staff was very frendly and helpfull. Great value for money!

It's a bit noisy in the room (our room was with the window towards the inner courtyard), noise from the restaurant, corridor and water pipes. The breakfast is the same every day, no fruits, vegetables were presented only by cucumbers.

I liked the room, the receptionist, the food, the location. The receptionist was very friendly and helpfull.

they said they have WIFI but it didn't worked.

I likes the fact that the hotel is in Buda in a very pleasant residential area. It's not in the heart of the city centre but it is quite near if you use public transportation. The hotel is very clean the staff quite helpful and they speak foreign languages, which in Hungary is a must.

Just the fact the rooms were a little too warm (25ºc) for April. But that can be just me.

the area where it is placed is very nice, easy to arrive in the city's center. the staff is very firendly and is there to help you with any problem.

Peaceful location with a pleasent 10 min walk to castle hill. Room standard very high for price level.

If you are sensitive to disturbing noise, avoid rooms with window towards the inner courtyard. There is also some noise from pipes within the building, at least at lower floor.

Food

I liked the proximity from the center, the amability, and helpfulness, of most staff. The changing of room after I complained. The quality of my second room: very clean, comfortable bed, wardrobe space, good en suite shower room, good view, adequate breakfast. Guests there, were pleasant and friendly. This is the second time I stay at Papillon and on the whole, providing you get a nice room, it is fairly decent for a 2* hotel. Better in the summer because of the swimming pool and outside area.

I did not appreciate the room I was given on the first day: grotty, water going from hot to cold while showering, sink plug not working, broken towel rail, soft bed. One member of staff was rather rude and unhelpful. Also, I was woken up on two occasions, in the middle of the night by very noisy guests at 2am and 4am, although, obiouvsly not the hotel liability.

It was just perfect! Great location very close to the tram (300m) and a great view of the city from the dorm window! The staff was very nice and helpful!

Simple but very good value hotel in quiet location with good transport links to explore the city.

Nice hotel near the city center and a Castledistrict .The breakfast was very big variety of foods and drinks. The staff was very nice and kindly. The room was clean and airless.

staff were lovely and helped whenever asked. it was good value - breakfast was extenstive even tho a little dull, only the fruit varied! close to trams 4 and 6, location kept us fit as up a steepish hill from town or the tram stop if you were using public transport. close by we found the Varosfal Restaurant - really good food and a lovely waitress who google-translated the specials menu

location was a bit far away from town and bars/restaurants but not far enough away to stop us using the hotel again when we return

Extremely nice and helpful staff. The hotel is located outside the city centre, in a quiet part of Budapest. Our room was in the new part of hotel, which, suprisingly was located in the typical residential house on the other street, about 400 meters from the main building. The room was quite small, but with a big bathroom, and with a big common kitchen. So there is a possibility to stay there for longer period and prepare your own meals. Though there is a breakfast served in the main building of the hotel. The hotel staff welcomes guest for an evening cocktail meeting, unfortunately we could not join it because of our own plans. We were staying in the hotel for one night only. Thank you!

No parking places around, only the public paid parking on the street (parkometers workings from 8 to 18 everyday).
