Made visit to Budapest a great experience.
The hotel is a no frills European hotel. Comfortable, clean and quiet. Very short walk to central market and Hop On Hop Off bus. The stars were the staff. I became ill while there and the staff called around to find an open pharmacy for me - then one of the employees walked me to the pharmacy. The price was fabulous.
the location was good as was the buffet breakfast.
I booked this hotel because of the headline special reduction of -86%. This is not true the rack rate advertised in the reception is the same as the the "reduced price". I think that other hotels offer better value for money. The coffee maker is in fact a vending machine. And the shower had a water saving device installed so the water had very little pressure, not the things you would expect from a hotel costing 448€ per night. I think perhaps my expectations were higher due to the advertised rack rate
Excellent location and staff were very helpful. Great breakfast, only drawback was the small bathroom. Otherwise, would recommend
Location, quiet, close to everything, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable.
Location - close to main shopping street. Free bikes - we used them every day
Excellent location in the city centre, friendly and helpful staff.
Everything but especially the location
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Fair value for money. Central location. Large and delicious breakfast buffet. 24h reception desk.
The beds' mattresses are very hard. They were in fact so hard and uncomfortable that I had trouble falling asleep. The water faucet in the bathroom has some silly water-saving device built in it which sprays the water and makes it very uncomfortable to use.
awesome beds 2 minutes walk to Danube
a bit washed out interior could use some new furniture
very quite place, good sleep
less fresh air no air conditioner
Ideal location just off Vaci Utca, a quick walk to the river and market place, and just across the bridge to Gellert spa and cave church. Great breakfast, free wifi in room, 24 hour security so you can come home anytime, and very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely old building with beautiful big windows that open onto the street. A lovely way to experience the beautiful city that is Budapest. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel :)
My room got quite stuffy and hot at night. Need to keep window open in which case you will get some street noise. There is a fan but no air conditioning.
I really enjoyed staying at the Peregrinus Hotel. It is in an old, historic building with high ceilings. It is in an excellent location, right off of Vaci Utca, but on a quiet street. The breakfast was good, with a lot of selections. It was a really good value. I would definitely come back here.
I don't think all of the rooms had air conditioning although we did not need it during our stay.
Very nice stay at very good price. Staff at reception very helpful in organizing taxis ect
Everything was good
A small dark bathroom. Difficult to find. Not so great breakfast. The price is not suitable to the room. (I reserved the room as 86% off, but the first price seems to be not true. The discount price is still higher than it looks like. It is not so graceful business.)
Location, good price, kind staff. Breakfast buffet was ok, not extraordinary though. Bed ok, but i can sleep anywhere. Everything clean. Wifi very good.
No hairdryer, no iron in room - seems that costs are cut wherever possible. Loud radio in breakfast room, but when i asked volume was turned down.
The location is really great. This hotel is a three star hotel and that makes it value for money. They have bikes!! How cool..
The rooms are warm and you need to leave the windows open. Thats it.
location in inner city is great for foreign travelers for sightseeing, dining, and shopping. The neighborhood is clean and quiet in the night. The hotel has a cute old-fashion look with high-ceilings and big windows. It's good value for money.
Under-staffing, There is only one man on night-shift, which is the concierge, when I asked for an extra towel at 9:30 pm, he said it's impossible because it's late and housekeeping is off. This can't be a 3-star hotel.
The location is perfect for someone who has never been in Budapest before: close to the river and just off Vaci street.
The furniture is old, no AC in the room which is a real problem in summer, small bathroom, small shower with low water pression- it is more a 2 star hotel. The booking rate of this hotel should be around 6.
friendly staff, good location and nice breakfast
Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location within the city, but still in a quiet street. The rental bikes are the absolutely best way to explore the city. Everything is clean. The room is not very big, but the furniture is good, and you have everything what you need.
Room on third floor gets quite hot in summer, but there is A/C. I missed the "real" coffee for breakfast, but it's not a big deal to go for a coffee in any cafe nearby.
The location was great- close to the main market and to vaci ut. The room was nice. The breakfast buffet was nice. Wifi. You can rent a bike (free of charge).
No air condition, but a far only.
