Staff. Leisure facilities. Location. Rooms. WIFI. Restaurant.
There was no bath in the room. Paying for the swimming pool/jacuzzi area.
Third visit to hotel. Great place to spend a few nights.
Excellent location, pleasant staff, charmingly deocrated and furnished. And Budapest is wonderful. The location, between the Basilica and the Parliament buildings, and only a short walk to the river (Buda side) is perfect.
The room itself was hot and stuffy; try as we would it was impossible to cool it down or ventilate properly. The second night we could hardly sleep. We complained, and although the response was charming and apologetic, we would hesistate to book unless we were certain of a room in which we could sleep comfortably. The bed was hard and narrow for two people and why, oh why do so many hotels serve such awful coffee?
Highly recommended, nice breakfast, staff are friendly and location is in the very center of Budapest. Could manage to check in earlier.
Difficult to say, small details like shower taps, pillows, but its normal compared to price and location and breakfast as well.
Roadworks all around the hotel. Breakfast not to usual Brits tastes. Unusual breakfast items such as calamari, sliced cold duck breast meat on a platter etc.
Sheets to small (im 1.90, my partner 1.80), the bed was a little hard. We had to pay extra for the pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, etc. The heater was not working in the room (later it did, after we asked to check it twice) and it didnt work in the bathroom all the days. The staff was nice, but we had some problems with understanding each other. When they came up for checking the heater a guy of the hotel told us 3 times we could'nt smoke in the rooms while we both don't smoke. And the shower is terrible. It's not possible to take a normal shower without getting water in the whole bathroom (there is no shower curtain). Besides this the shower is too low to stand under. You have to take the showerhead in your hand to take a shower. The key card to get in the room was not working lots of times. It sometimes took 10 till 15 attempts to get into the room.
I have to ask at the reception ( It is Hotel policy not to change bed sheet or replace before or after my 3 night stay?????????) Actioned immediately. A smile does not cost anything especially early morning to start the day. Big Smile -Make difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE LEISURE CLUB WAS SUPERB
ONLY ONE BEDSIDE CABINET WHICH MEANT ONE SIDE OF THE BED WAS RIGHT UP AGAINST THE WALL SO DIFFICULT TO GET OUT OF THE BED. NOT ANY HOOKS IN THE ROOM TO HANG COATS ON
Location is ideal and very central to most of the attractions and restaurants. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good selection of food at breakfast. Nice clean room.
No shower screen in the rooms so water goes everywhere! You expect more from a 4* star hotel. Threadbare and thin towels which you would only expect from a lower star hotel. No coffee facilities in room despite advertising this, and having a kettle and cups in the room!
The staff, the location, the beautiful room.
The breakfast buffet did not match at all the other great qualities of the hotel.
mirrored ceiling & walls. also the decors :)
the shower is too tiny

It took too long to get checked out.
Location was really good and we were able to walk almost everywhere from this base.
The buffet breakfast was quite poor. No fresh fruit platters (only tinned fruit or whole fruit that was not fresh). Lots of chipped crockery. No service- all serve serve. The staff in breakfast room were surly and did not speak to guests. One started to clear table while I was still eating breakfast. The breakfast room is in basement, which I felt was a bit like a dungeon (no windows, gloomy, lifeless). Roof-top restaurant was closed and this was one of my main reasons for selecting this hotel (only open summer months). Welcome from one member of staff at reception was excellent. If the hotel wishes to provide a tea/coffee tray then they should do it properly and not have a kettle that one can't boil water in and two plastic cups (that were never replaced) and 2 sachets of coffee! This is what I mean when I say the hotel needs to improve their service by attending to the detail. When it rains the noise of water falling on the balcony makes it impossible to sleep.
Good location, excellent breakfast buffet, helpful staff
Could have used more pillows and blankets. Expensive small bottle of water 4 euros that I bought in the bar.
Hotel was in a great location right in the centre. Near lots of really nice restaurants particularly a French Bistro which served the most delicious tomato and palma ham brushetta as a starter and grilled goose liver as a main course. The French Bistro also served pasta dishes which were homemade and the portions were huge. Hotel on a quiet street although the refuse collectors seemed to arrive at 6.15am! Internet access. Breakfast good although not brilliant. Room and bathroom were a good size. Lovely staff who were very helpful.
Roof terrace closed from Oct to April so not the same experience when staying at the hotel as if it had been open. Breakfast area in the basement was a bit gloomy. Pillows were poor quality. Shower had no curtain so water went everywhere. No lobby so nowhere to sit or have a drink or tea which felt rather odd. Area by lifts was dark and quite depressing. Hotel felt rather lacking in atmosphere and gloomy. No tea bags in the room although you could order these through room service. Horrible plastic cups were provided for coffee in the room. No free bottled water was provided in the room. Towels were rather thin. No evidence of conference facilities. Had to pay for swimming pool and other facilities.
It is in a convenient location for access to restaurants, the hop on - hop off bus, metro station, shops and bike rental stands. The staff were very helpful. The city is lovely and has lots of sights worth visiting so you want to be close enough to walk to them or be near to transport links.
- perfect location - wifi - helpful personal
- parking, on 18/10/2014 was in Hungary working day, we need to pay parking also on Saturday - from 20/10/2014 it is not possible to park in front of hotel, the street became a pedestrian zone
Amiable cooperative staff. Always willing to listen.
The breakfast was fatty. Not enough healthy alternatives of cereal.
Good location, helpful staff.
Room only had skylights, so no view at all.
On Booking.com, I saw a small sofa for the twin room. But the room was too narrow and no space to put it.
Did not like bed room ceiling, and bed pillows to small, also no English Breakfast Tea, regards ray wacker
Jazuzzi Bath & Location
Beds weren't that comfortable, Hotel said all beds were the same they were a matterss on a wooden base.
small rooms poor breakfast and service spa looks different to advertised very small...
Nice location, staff in reception kind and helpfull.
Don' t go for their breakfast. Ran out of coffee, plates, youghurt etc. and the staff was unfriendly. + pure selection. The lightning in the bathrooms was way too dark, I didn't see myself for a week.
Helpful receptionist, powerful shower, room was ok and the hotel being close to st Stephens Basilica. The Argentian steakhouse nearby was lovely.
Breakfast. Pastries and bread were dry and they ran out of milk and couldn't tell me if any more was coming. . . . The pillows were too thin, but the bed was comfortable.
