Promenade City Hotel

Very central location to main metro location and for shopping and restaurants.

Very narrow entrance and small lobby. Not suitable for people who are not able to walk for more than a few yards.

First class hotel great value for money superb location and excellent helpful staff

When we hung up our towels ( without a notice) they didn't replace them like other hotels which I thought was great.

Not being able to look outside with our windows.

Very good location, good value , a bit difficult to carry the luggage to the hotel since is not on the street of the car side and only accessible for pedestrians. Would be advisable to have porters to help carry the baggage from the taxi and to the taxi.

As mentioned above the fact that the car was not accessible because it is on the pedestrians street. Would be nice to have porters from the hotel to help carry the baggage from the hotel to the car and vice versa.Also make sure to advertise the taxi company the hotel recommends otherwise the common taxi drivers take advantage of the tourists and skin them from their money. My taxi who was suppose to be under control of the train station charged me four times more from the usually acceptable fee for the specific length of ride.

I asked the hotel staff to book taxis and restaurants which they did promptly and courteously; I thought they were friendly!

The breakfast was poor in terms of quality and availability, but this problem is replicated in many hotels across Europe.

I like first of all the location of the hotel (it was also amazingly peacefull during the night), then pleasant stuff, the comfort and design of the rooms. Everything was very clean, the food was good. In one word - excelent!

I found absolutely nothing that I did't like, but I stayed only one night.

The kindness to give us a packed breakfast at 6 a.m.

We greatly enjoyed the exceptionally helpful staff, perfect location for any kind of city strolling and shopping, clean design, great beds, and spotless and "invisible" cleaning staff. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was larger than we'd expected.

Had a little trouble regulating the room temperature.

The rooms were quite comfortable - the whole hotel was very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent and within walking distance of many sights and accessible to tourist venues - sightseeing tours, etc. The hotel fronts a street for pedestrians with many shops and restaurants.

The pillows were quite large and the bathrooms could benefit from shower curtains.

Totally renewed, very friendly staff, good quality of appliances furnitures, plumbing and everything in general. Excellent location. Very good value for money. You must stay there.

In the middel of the city, walking distance to every thing. New rooms.

The free internet did not work any days, and the staff told us every day that it would be fixed the next day.

The breakfasts

Requested Non-smoking. On arrival the room smelt of cigarette smoke. I solved the problem by buying (at my own expense) an aerosol can of Airwick Odor Stop Freshomatic Mountain Air and spraying the room and leaving the window and bathroom door open with the fan running. It Worked.

I moved to the hotel after attending a conference in a hotel on the outskirts of Budapest as i wanted to be more central. Reception staff were very helpful and at all times courteous and smartly turned out. Bedroom small but adequate, excellent bathroom. I appreciated the laptop sized safe, with its easy accessibility. Excellent reflexology massage given by a member of staff in my own room; great value at 10 Euros. Hotel very conveniently situated in the heart of the city, I would certainly use it again.

Poor outlook from my single bedroom - into a shaft with little natural light. Poor wi-fi connection in my room; either didn't connect or dropped out after a couple of minutes.
