Comfortable large bed, nice staff. Location perfect in city centre.
The room even it was executive was really small. Breakfast made uncomfortable with buffet service although you can order cooked breakfast if you want, but it makes it feel like inconvenience. For me didn't feel like a 4 star and nothing special. Also cleanliness not exactly right, specially in bathroom.
Location Staff friendliness and knowledge Facilities Value for money
Tea & Coffee making facilities in the bedroom rooms would have been ideal
The hotel was in an ideal location.Helpful staff.
The shower drain was blocked. It overflowed from the shower tray. There was smell of drains in the room. When the next doors bathroom was being clean.Had an upset stomach from their breakfast. They kept the doors open on the warming cabinets.Doesn't keep bacon hot enough.
The location in very close to the Central Market but set back from the main drag allowing for quiet sleep. The breakfasts were pretty good. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. They brought us a fan, showed us alternative rooms due to a shower issue and always had a smile. They were alert around the clock (our hours were strange due to flights and time zone changes).
The shower in our room wasn't draining and there was no one to fix it. When we asked for a different room the two available only had bathtubs. The a/c had been turned off for the season because it was early October but it was very hot in our room. We asked for a fan and they brought one but we had to sleep with the windows open as well. Without screens, that resulted in a slightly buggy room with some street noise early in the morning. The room itself was very small. We travel in Europe frequently and can say that the room was smaller than most. The breakfast was good but crowded. Reconfiguring where the coffee is located would solve some of this (put coffee machine by the toaster).
We liked the location very much - so handy to the river and the main shopping street. We liked the breakfasts - lots of fresh bread and rolls, along with hot food. Reception staff were very friendly - and jumped to their feet when you approached them.
Not a big complaint, but there was one day that the room was not serviced just as well as other days - bed was made but that was all really. I would still recommend the hotel to others though.
The hotel is situated in a great location next to the market and restaurants and in walking distance of many historical sites.
I would have liked cooler air conditioning however we could open the window so it was not a major issue
Location excellent. Very good breakfast.
Room very small.
The shower had a leak but the staff couldn't move us because the hotel was full. After the second night they admitted all the rooms have this problem because of bad maintenance. Rooms extremely small.
Clean, service, staff.
Limited space and noisy rooms. Window in a litle and shadowed courtyard. High price for acommodation
Very nice hotel. Staff extremely helpful
very friendly welcome after a long, long flight . Very good location, near Vodal park, and close to museums. Really enjoyed our couples of days there in a nice part of Amsterdam, better than last year when we stayed at the Ibis over the railway station although ibis was clean it was not in a very nice location .
this is my second time in Budapest and residence baron and as usual the hotel and staff illustrated the decent quality of service in my stay and the reception employees were very very helpful, thanks a lot for the excellent quality of stay
they stopped using the air-condition preparing for the winter season, this was not very comfortable to me, however the weather was okay
Fabulous location, great little hotel with fantastic breakfast and nice people!
My only complaint was that they turn the air conditioning off in Sept and it was warm so we had to sleep with the windows open and ended up covered in bug bites.
The staff were excellent...they were so helpful and welcoming! The hotel is small but has all the quality you expect. Perfect location.
The location and friendly staff. High service level
Aircondition and minibar didn´t work.
Location! Location! Can walk every where--- close to the bridges, the market, underground stations, restaurants, shopping etc. Room was small but acceptable. Very clean and housekeeping visited every day. Breakfast was very good. Front desk staff was lovely even offered to make us a bagged breakfast because we needed to catch our transportation very early in the morning. Easy excess to the hop on/ hop off bus stops as well as the river cruise stop. Would recommend this hotel to any traveler visiting the city. Hotel had air conditioning and room was quiet.
Room had only one available electrical plug-in. T.V. was a challenge to operate--instructions would be very helpful.
Excellent location Free Wi-Fi Free safety deposit box in the room Helpful staff Very good breakfast
The Residence Baron is well located for the tram and metro.Word of advice tickets can only be bought at metro stations, some shops and post offices not at every tram stop. Hotel room very comfortable; we had a spa bath, definitely worth the extra, great for tired legs after a day sightseeing. There was a good choice at breakfast and the different breads were delicious. Very nice staff, gave us a welcome pack of things to do and they will book trips and concerts for you. We loved Budapest and if we go again would have no hesitation in staying at the Baron.
We did get badly bitten by mosquitos on the first night I counted 18 bites so ask for a repellent bottle if you have a window open or take your own.
- Very central location -Very polite & helpful staff - Seamless function of Wifi -Comfortable room -Decent breakfast with several choices
- Sometimes it wasn't so sound proof internally (but few occasions) - Pillows were not so comfortable
it was a nice and by the architecture point of view hotel with very friendly staff and helpfull, the breakfast was fine and there was every day something different, the connected rooms for families were big and confortable, the toiletry was ok,there is the possibility to book a parking place near to the hotel, the hotel is in a perfect sittuation next to the vaci pedestrian one step from the liberty bridge and the dunab river, it is the ideal location, from the windows of the rooms you can have a look over the river
The location is fantastic - right at the Liberty bridge, on a metro line and at the end of the main shopping street. It's a small hotel. The staff were great, very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was lovely - a mix of hot and cold dishes including local ones.
The pool/spa was closed when I was there and that was one of the main reasons I picked the hotel so that was disappointing. They also seemed a bit stingy with the towels - I only got one and when I was given another it was taken away the next day! But they did bring an extra when I asked.
This was my second visit to this hotel and I'm definitely going to return.
Our first delight was to be told we had been upgraded. The room had been recently modernised, was very comfy & roomy. The en-suite was very clean and the spa-bath was a welcome luxury! Wi-fi worked perfectly in our room. The hotel is in an excellent position for exploring the city and literally a few minutes walk from tram and metro connections. The pre-booked airport pick-up was efficient, safe and reasonably priced. If you decided to eat-in, a discount was an added incentive. The staff were very helpful & friendly.
