Hotel Romantik Eger    

The Hotel Romantik was in a convenient location just up a short hill from the main street. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I love staffs there very much cos they were very helpful and friendly. One of them help us to find trians and buses to wherever we wanted to go. Plus, the hotel was very welcoming.

The staff were truly excellent. Charming, helpful in the extreme. The breakfast was very good. It is reasonably close to the town centre.

If you get a room at the front it is really very noisy, as it is on a bend in a main road where buses, trucks, cars motorbikes all slow down, change gear and rev up.

Kind, friendly, helpful staff were great. Quiet, safe, central location.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The welcome we received from the gentleman on reception (whose name I unfortunately didn't catch) was really outstanding. In the middle of a sweltering heatwave he was energetic in helping us with our luggage and coming with me to park the car. He and the housekeeping lady also worked hard to enable us to check in absurdly early (around 12:30). There are many receptionists at much bigger and more expensive hotels who could learn lessons from this gentleman. Everything else was good too: the room was clean and comfortable, the shower was large and powerful, the air con worked, the breakfast was enjoyable, the location was ideal for exploring Eger.

There was nothing I didn't like. (This is quite unusual for me!)

Nicely located hotel, only 100m to old town. Parking on the other side of relatively busy street. Great brekfest included.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is old, but it is in a nice location, walking distance to the old city. The garden sitting area is lovely and pleasant to sit in. Breakfast was ok, nothing too fancy, but reasonable enough. When we arrived, the host brought us a glass of wine and a glass of juice for our son, helped us with our luggage. That was a nice touch. The AC worked well, which was important since we were there during a heat wave.

The bathroom was too small and it would need some renovations. The shower, which did work fine, was old, the doors didn't close properly, etc...other fixtures need to be renewed. This hotel is listed as a 3 star hotel, so in general it was fine, some renos and changes of fixtures would be nice, but the friendliness of the staff made up for this.

Breakfast was very good. Nice atmosphere and quite clean.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very close to Eger town centre, which is a lovely place to visit.

Description said 'all rooms have a balcony and welcome drink'. Our room didn't have a balcony and there was no welcome drink. Also the breakfast was fine but not up to the expectations set by other reviews. The first night was also a bit noisy as the sound insulation in our part of the hotel was poor. Overall - high expectations from rating and reviews not met.

Very nice place to spend holidays in eger. Just next to the historical center, square and the castle. Wonderfull staff and familiar atmosphere in the hotel, we felt like guests not a strangers. Great place, we will come back!

No elevator, so lots of steps to climb; limited closet space

Old house with romantic and cosy atmosphere, near the town center. Exceptionally helpful personnel (all are english speaking). They also helped us to organize horse riding on Lipizzaner Horse Farm near Eger. Free private parking.

Well run,small, clean, friendly hotel with nice room,conveniently located to centre of town. Parking facality available nearby. Can recomend it if you want a nice little hotel without all the five star add ons.

Exceeded expectations, no downside from what was expected.

The only small disappointment was that we did not get a hot breakfast as there was only one member of staff.
