A nice small and friendly hotel situated very close to the absolute center of Eger. Just 5 minutes walk to "where everything is". On sunny mornings you can have your breakfast in a small garden. The staff is friendly and try to help you if need is. The insulation between different hotel rooms is not the best one, meaning that you can hear sounds from the room next to yours.

The staff was so helpful. We had an issue where we accidentally booked for the wrong day and they went out of their way to be accommodating. In Hungary, where customer service isn't always the best, they were far above expectations.

Beautiful family ran hotel in the centre of Eger, 5 minutes walk from main square. Hotel is very clean, room was spacious, with a desk, flat-screen TV, bathroom was also nice and clean with a hairdryer. Hotel has locked, closed parking which is rare for this kind of small hotels. Breakfast room has glass wall to the one of the most beautiful gardens we've seen at any hotel. Weather permitting you can have a breakfast outside in the garden, which is well hidden from surrounding houses by trees and flowers. Buffet was very rich, a mix of delicious Hungarian cold cuts with a lot of healthy choices. The best of all in this hotel is friendly staff - we arrived late in the evening and the attention of the staff was unreal, from check-in, to parking and helping materials and suggestions for sightsseing. Also at check-out, owner was so nice and polite. We have already decided to make this hotel our mandatory stop when travelling form Poland to Serbia. Everything was so perfect.

- the breakfast was amazing. It was simple, but as soon as some products were finished, the staff of the hotel replace them for more - we had a problem with the heating and the staff hotel inmediately took action and solved it quickly - although the hotel is in front of a road, and our room was facing it directly, it was completely quiet, not noise from cars - it is 5 minutes away, byu walk, from the main road, 15min away form the thermal baths, by walk as well, and by taxi, 20 minutes way from the wine cellars place (1000 huf) - the guy in the reception was very helpful: provided a map, and ifnormed us about what to see and best places to have dinner

Very cozy, comfortable room, friendly staff, close to the base points of interest. After a long journey by car was pleasantly surprised by the Wellcome drink - wine,local famous Bull's Blood :) Parking near the hotel, which is also a plus.

The staff is competent and speaks perfect english, a major plus in a country like Hungary where language is often a problem. I would recommend the hotel for a short stay when one is travelling with family. Good value for money in a marvellous town. Not really a complaint but the restaurant is very small although very sympathetic.

This was a really good choice: a great welcome, safe parking, really comfortable (garden) room, ideal location. Local restaurant recommendation was excellent. Hotel not the cheapest option in town but worth it.

This small but excellent hotel met all our needs. It was scenic, the staff were friendly and knoledgeable. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent. A unique feature was the hotel garden and the welcoming drink. I would recommend it to anyone. It is close (5 minutes from the scenic areas of Eger). Bravo to the management for a most excellent stay.

Staff were excellent - extremely supportive. Hotel was well located close to the centre of town. Room was clean and nice garden. Welcome drink was very nice Seemed expensive for area but have no experience with other hotels in the area.

This hotel is well located, very close to the walking street and minutes from Dobo tér. It has a beautiful garden and the rooms to the back don't hear the noise of the street. The best rooms are on the 2nd floor with no lift (50 stairs!), this is less convenient for people with walking disability! Safe parking!

Our stay at the Romantik could not have been more enjoyable. The owner and staff are terriic with guests -- friendly, good senses of humor, and very accomodating. They also gave excellent recommendations on places to go, including some advice for what turned out to be some of the best restaurants we visited in Hungary. An all round find!
