location decoration privacy staff well equiped
beds not too comfy not much air flow in the bedroom
Very good location, close to public transport and a supermarket. About 25-30 minutes walk into city centre. Wifi was fast. Felt secure, was clean, kitchen well equipped.
Sometimes the wifi didn't work.
Location is perfect. A shared kitchen/bathroom,are clean. Rooms are pretty big. Restaurants downstairs. Shops for food and metro within 3 min walk. Nice owners.
It can be a bit noisie, depending on who your neighbours are. but airplugs wil do the trick.
Location is great. Close to the metro station and walking distance to the old city.
Dusty, noisy and uncomfortable room. Mattress has seen better days. Not for people with allergies and back problems. Showerroom is supposed to be shared with another room but all the other guests used it as toilet, and not all were clean (pee on the lid, use of the sink as ashtray...). Kitchen needs also a thorough wash! For backpackers with limited budget and low cleanliness demand, that's perfect. But I wouldn't stay there again!!
The staff were very helpful, close to everything. Highly recomend for a budget traveler.
The location is great, it's just few steps to metro station. Rooms have every furniture that you will need (including small wardrobe with drawers, big table, armchairs, most rooms have mirrors - our didn't). It's clean though the furniture in the small kitchen area and tiles in bathroom are old so they sometimes might seem dirty.
the only problem were our neighbours who obviously had huge libido and we heard every sound :)
This hotel was really uniquely decorated, really spacious and comfortable! I found it really good value for money and the owner was very friendly
Owner was approachable and friendly Excellent WiFi in rooms Free use of washing machine Free bike rental Large, clean rooms Beautifully decorated courtyard Located very close to public transport
Small kitchen facilities No reception so let the owner know in advance when you arrive
Wonderful host, very nice and willing to give great tips. We could use his bikes for free, which really enabled us the explore Budapest in a great way. The location was perfect. Go, you won't be sorry :)
After a long journey with two small children we arrived to a beautiful courtyard,a warm welcome and a relaxed atmosphere,we were so blessed to meet our gracious host who was not only incredibly accomodating but friendly and fun also. We met many interesting travellers and shared stories together. Both my friend and I would definatly stay in the Art Hostel again and would also recomend to our friends.
Location near to public transports. In the house of Eden vegan restaurant.
A bit noisy outside in the morning as trucks were unloading stuff to the supermarket. But no big deal really, it is possible to close the window.
The courtyard is a true island in the city. Nicely decorated: a feeling of being at home.
Very noisy environment for the rooms giving to the street; others are fine
Loved the individuality of the hostel and the peacefulness and security. The owner was lovely and welcoming. It is not far from Pest and is close to Buda and stunning views.
I had only two problems with this place: We visited in July when the temperature was hot and there is no air con, however the owner kindly gave us a fan to use. Due to the heat we slept with outer window open but we woken around 5am daily by deliveries to the shopping center right outside our window! Just take ear plugs and it will not bother you!
The owner is friendly!!
Very nice and friendly host. Great atmosphere. Cozy rooms and interior and inside garden. Convinient easy kitchen. Close, about one minute, to subwaystation (Batthyany ter). Nice vegan restaurant next to the hostel. GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.
Toilets not always so clean, but OK. Thin walls, a bit noisy. Only payment by cash. 30 minutes walk to city centre by foot.
Free wi-fi and decorated courtyard. Owner was nice guy but not very professional. Also lots of hot water.
Room was small, dirty and there were no basics eg towel and loo role. Really noisy so much so that a English couple were having a proper fight and sounded like they were trashing the place!! Never again for me.
Very friendly owner, who wants to make you comfortable. Location is super. 2 min walk from main metro line (M2), next to coffee bars, restaurant, supermarket, ... We loved our stay.
We were upgraded to a very spacious apartment very close to the hotel. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Fantastic athmosphere. Friendly staff. Perfect location.
Very noicy street, very early in the morning. Next time I will bring ear plugs.
The location was good. A bit of a walk to the downtown area I'd you go by foot bu very close to the metro for a quick ride to the other side or anywhere else in the city. I recommend getting a multi-day public transportation pass.
I left the window open during the day and I think a stray cat got in and sprayed. My room smelled a little funky. Also the window looked out over an alley where the local grocery store had all it's goods delivered... At 6am. Even with the window closed it was very loud.
The location is great and the place definitely has a unique atmosphere. It is more of a hostel than a hotel, but I was ready for that. The place has character - you gotta see it to know what I mean :-) The owner is very nice, he was waiting right there for our arrival. The vegan cafe downstairs is great - and no one of us is vegan, mind you :-) yet we loved it!
There was some kind of store or storage right opposite our windows and they started loading/unloading stuff at around 6 am, which ruined our sleep. There are no blinds, and the windows are not soundproof, so if life on the street starts this early, so does your morning, whether you want it or not.
Hotel owner was very friendly and helpful, the hotel had a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It was very close to the train station and easy to get around the city.
hotel was a bit hard to find
The decoration is awesome.
Bit noisy outside
The place was nice and cozy. Trendy courtyard (thou a very small one). The staff was friendly and our short stay worked out very well.
The entrance is a bit difficult to find unless you know to look for something hidden. There is only a small sticker on the doorbell with "Antique G.H" on it.
