Perfect Location Friendly staff Nice views
location was great , bed was super comfortable
everytine we were coming back to our room there was a strange smell like sewage and we had to open up the windows to be able to breathe
way too pricey. Concentrate juice at a high class hotel breakfast?
Only negative room cleaning too late Once room cleaned at 3 pm after told especially at executive levels room to be cleaned b4 noon not during rest time.
Wonderful location. Pleasant fitness and spa area.
Staff, room view, Sofitel Club, the place in the center of everything.
Lack of electricity outlets in the room for chargers
staff has always an smile and are helpful. excellent breakfast, facilities and room confort. the view to danube is a must!
only one night was too short...
-The view from our room was superb. It was like a painting, we could see the chain brigde and castle/palace. But you have to choose room with a view (different price from rooms without view) -The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. -The location is excellent -Service was very good - Would choose it again for next stay at Budapest
-Breakfast not included in the price and it was very expensive, we only had breakfast one time. Didn't worth it. -Wi-fi you had to re-connect every time you left the room and returned but other that than it was very good
I liked everything: Location, cleanliness, Facilities, Restaurants, Swimming Pool, the Massage Center in the Spa (the Therapist Christina knows very well how to do the Swedish massage plus she's so professional). The rooms are quite and wide.
The complimentary coffee is given only once on the first day of arrival, remaining days we were requesting it along with the water and that had costs..! Never seen it before, and i would not expect this from the Luxury hotel Sofitel... Other than that, everything is just amazing
Room service, dirty carpet in the room, uncomfortable bed
Having spent 4 days at this beautiful hotel I can't find enough great things to say from the moment we arrived we were made to feel so special all staff were very courties friendly and couldn't do enough for us. It was within walking distance and the view from our bedroom was fabulous. I can't recommend it enough would definitely stay there again,a big thanks to everyone Joan & Peter
Having to go back to normal day stuff
Location is great and the concierge staff is very helpful. I can't say the same for the reception staff (maybe we hit the wrong person).
The rooms look a little run down.
The best thing about this hotel was a location. Free wifi.
We arrived to the hotel at 12.00 and receptionist promised us a room in 1.5h but we got it only at 15.10. We paid extra for a river view but got a room with half river view and other half it was wall of intercontinental hotel.
The Bar The good at restoran The SPA
I ask for 1 kingsize bed I have 2 bed I have rumor of works at 5 PM in The room The director of The restorant for the reservation is not sympatic
We had an executive room and a club entrance as well. All vacation was luxurious, fun and high quality thanks to the service quality and hotel's high standards. Prime location !!! Will come back soon
Lovely view, very gentle staff and comfortable room.
The restaurant's toilet was very dirty, missing paper in my arrival day. Unacceptable for a 5 stars hotel. Also coffee at breakfast wasn't good.
The location of the hotel is great. It has excellent pool/dry sauna facilities.
The hotel lobby is perpetually overcrowded with large tour groups and, therefore, gives you an airport-type of feel, not "5-star" hotel-type of feel. Our room had a view of the bridge (these types of rooms are sold at a higher price), but it was too small relative to what we expected for the money. It was also too cold. We were practically freezing for the entire 6-night stay. We were unable to get the temperature higher, the thermostat didn't seem to react to our manipulations. The hotel bar has an amazing view of the bridge and the major landmarks. But the staff is beyond slow. They practically ignore you until you go hunting for your server. lastly, don't bother asking the concierge any questions. The concierge provided us with wrong train information and causes us to miss the train we wanted.
Super position for hotel. Easy to city centre and plenty of cabs etc if you want to go further afield. The views from the hotel are to die for. Right on the Danube you have a panorama of the river and the old castle area on the other side. Also only a short walk from the fairytale parliament buildings - well worth a stroll down to see it floodlit at night. It's also only a short walk to the Rudas or Gellert Spa - a must for any visitor to Budapest. A soak in the thermal waters after a day of walking around, or even doing nothing, is a fantastic experience - gives you a view of what it was like to live in ancient Rome or Byzantium. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have had in any country/hotel. The exec lounge has a nice selection of drinks and snacks although on one day they had run out due to the volume of executive room guests.
Twice we had issues with being told that we were not in for the inclusive breakfast. This involved returning to our rooms and fishing out our emails from Booking.com to prove we were. It is embarrassing to have this happen in the breakfast queue as if we were trying to sneak a freebie! Having paid for 3 executive floor rooms for a family of 6 for a week - the first time was bad enough - when it happened again a couple of days later it was very annoying. I think Sofitel needs to avoid this type of error it does not go with the rest of what is otherwise a very high quality experience.
Everything, staff was very helpful and nice, facilities were awesome, bed was a masterpiece of comfort, great breakfast, great spa
It has a plane hanging from the ceiling of the lobby, which is fairly impressive (guess they are trying their best to keep up with far more beautiful and similarly priced hotels nearby).
Tired property which they've renovated in public areas but not in rooms. Casino gives a weird vibe.
View. Location. Spa. Room service.
We were offered the use of a wheelchair for one of our party with walking difficulties without asking. Staff all seemed friendly and helpful. I don't think you could be in a better location, everything is very accessible from this hotel. The concierge service was also very good.
Couldn't seem to get the safe to work and only had one chair in the room. Not a complaint a bout the hotel, but Budapest is not a disabled friendly city at all so our trip was actually quite hard work.
The location is superb
People from reception did a lot of mistakes, horrible, shame, stress trip
