Right in the heart of Budapest, didnt have to travel far in any direction to get to a sightseeing attraction. Although the bar area and reception areas are quite modern and smart, the carpets throughout the rest of the hotel i.e the corridoors are very grubby, not dirty as in not hoovered as the cleaning staff are on the go all the time, but black dirty marks all over and along the corridoors, they are getting a little past their lifespan for a hotel that charges 10.000 HUFfor four drinks ( 2 bacardi's and mixers, and 2 gin and tonics ) at the bar and blames this on being in one of the most exclusive streets / areas of budapest, my advice, walk out the front door to one of the many nearby bars and get your drinks for just over half the price with the added buzz of city centre Budapest right on your doorstep, would still reccomend this hotel, as it says on the tin "Mercure Budapest City Center " and it is definitely right in the middle of everthing. |

The location...so easy to walk to many sights, and the entire street from the Market to the Square was enjoyable to walk/shop. It would be nice if breakfast were included. |

The best thing about this hotel is the location - it was brilliant - within easy reach for sightseeing, restaurants/cafes, shopping etc. It has a nice bar downstairs and the rooms were very modern and pleasant. The staff were helpful. It is a very nice hotel. I would have no hesitation in recommending it. We cannot comment on the breakfast as we did not try it as we thought it was too expensive. There are some nice places within walking distance that provide good breakfasts. |

Location in downtown Budapest, convenient to pedestrian zone and restaurants. Also convenient parking. The staff was generally friendly and efficient. The room was very small, the three computers available for guest use were virtually impossible to operate (because of their 'built-in' design), and the price for breakfast at 19 Euros per person was outrageous. |

I liked the hotel location in the centre of the pedestrian zone. Breakfast is great. Rooms are quite small for a 4* hotel. Furniture is very simple. |

The location was great, the staff were pleasant and helpful. Although we were informed that there would be drainage work happening on our first morning, we weren't expecting to be woken up by extremely loud drilling at 07.15 am! Unfortunatley we were woken every morning early as there was maintenance being done in the next room, and a restaurant revamp next door. No tea or coffee in the room. Would say this hotel is a basic 3 star not a 4 star hotel. |

the central situation in the mean shopping street and not too far from historical monuments like citadella, royal palace ... I was in a single room just separated from the next room by only a door. I could hear distinctly all what the neighbour said and did ! |

It locates at very convenient place. I had much fun. I reserved "non-smoking" room. But, they provided me "smoking" room. After one day, they changed my room. It is ok for me because I stayed for a week. But, if it is just one day stay, it could be very bad. |

The hotel is located right in the center of the city, on the main pedestrian and shopping street in Budapest. I had nothing to complain and everything was great. Free wireless would be nice, at least in the lobby. |

The position in the city centre. Very small bathroom. No darkness was possible in the room, because the window curtains were light-transparent. The carpets in the common aisles in front of the rooms are quite dirty. |

Closeness to city center The first met with the front office could be more friendly; especially for a person who paid in advance |

Everethything was as specified in my booking even better. Baby cot waited for me in the room and i even got a suit apartment instead of regular double room for the same price. Everything was charged.Internet in the lobby, coffee in the room(coffee to make),parking. Those are usually the services which are free of charge. |

First of all, i must say that this hotel is rather less than 3 stars' worth and the price is way to big for its facilities. the rooms are very very small, the carpet is very dirty and the pictures you show on your site for this hotel are far from reality. thank you. we took two rooms..we were 4 people but none of us liked this hotel in any way. |
