The room was very clean, which is the most important thing for a hotel I think. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very broad: there was corn flakes, bread , sausages, ...
There was a problem with the elevator, sometimes it just didn't work. In the corridor you saw that the rooms were much more cleaned up then the corridor.
LOcation is very good
wifi and breakfast
Availability of the staff
Very bad wi-fi connection in the room
My husband and I came a bit early in the morning. Room wasnt ready yet but the reception staff gave us the acces to the lounge (with a buffet of snacks and ranges of beverages inside). Excellent handling!.
Room was a bit cramped. But its still worth the price anyway (we only reserved a standard room). No complaints whatsoever.
friendly, most helpfool staff. very good breakfast.
lack of attention to finer details
Good location in the pedestrian area, good hotel garrage (entrance to garrage is a bit tricky, from another street, but call the hotel and they'll give you the address). Hotel is more or less as expected, however below average Mercure level.
Carpets in the hallway (1st floor) were dirty and worn, walls crying for a repair and paint-job. During night the entrance from main pedestrian street is closed, other entrance marked very poorly (there is though a sign behind the closed door indicating the alternative entrance, as the receptionist has shown later).
Really liked the privilege lounge area and used it to print out our boarding passes. It was also nice for night snacks and drinks, really was a nice experience
Good location Room size good
Very poor wifi connection on 4th floor Very uncomfortable beds - old and coily
Location, step out of the front door straight onto the main pedestrianised shopping street. One minute from the river and central to a good many attractions.
I cannot name another 4 star hotel that still uses unhygienic shower curtains, especially in such a small shower where it simply wraps you up. Carpets worn, stained and filthy. The reception and bar area give the impression of modern and clean, the rooms and bathrooms and corridors tell the opposite, they needed a complete refurbishment maybe ten years age. The bed was hard and lumpy the room smaller that the website photos imply. This is not what you would expect of a 4 star hotel especially a major branded one!
location of hotel. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Very satisfied with the bedroom and added perk of bathrobes and slippers
While the bedroom was brilliant the bed was most uncomfortable. This is the only negative feature of this hotel
Location was great for most attractions and plenty of places to eat and drink close by.In the main shopping street.
Reception was the worst I have experienced in a long time. The attitude of some of the staff was very arrogant .I was handed a bill when I arrived for a booking that was supposed to be charged at booking time about four weeks earlier. The bill included breakfast which I didn't want and when I queried this was told not to worry that's the way they do things. Not good enough as far as I'm concerned. The lifts were out of order at least three times, bar was overpriced and the room was very small. Also the bed was very low which wasn't good as my husband has a back problem. I inquired about getting an iron and was told there was an ironing room.A closet more like and you needed to constantly put your room key in and out to use it. Also the ironing board was in very bad condition, the cover in bits, so difficult to actually iron something properly. I am not impressed by Mercure hotels at all and wont be using them again
Location and modern hotel
Small room with limited view after requesting a nice view.
Poor decoration and dirty carpet
the very bad conditions of the elevators always out of service,,,,,guests has to wait for long time to go down,,,in many cases,,,we had to use the staircase to go down from 7th floor,,,,elevators are too small for a hotel
Unbeatable location serves as an excellent launchpad for exploring the city. Free WiFi. Early check in.
They did not provide me with the two rooms that I booked, which put me in a bad position, I had to drive back to Vienna at the same day, I think because they are overbooked they start to gamble the rooms for who pay more, despite the fact that I show early to pay for the room they said later, they also fail to provide me with parking for my car
Best scrambled eggs ever had in a hotel they are usually like rubber
Dirty hallway carpets. Inadequate lifts.
Location value staff service
The location was fantastic close to all the main attraction shopping and lots of restaurants
Unfortunately most rooms need updating we travelled with 2 other couples all booking superior rooms all 3 where different 1 being ok my room poor & small bathroom and the main thing which applied to the 2 sub-standard rooms the beds with mattress the were 2/3 inches thick on a slated bed really uncomfortable it was like sleeping on the floor breakfast ok not enough hot options bar and wifi good with friendly staff
Apart from an excellent location the hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful at all times during our stay and the room was modern and clean.
If there was anything that was a minus I know my friend found the bed too firm but then again that's a personal preference. If you like a firm mattress you will be fine.
Location was perfect and close to everything. Price was fair. Rooms and facilities are a bit dated but kept nice and clean. Wifi was pretty good and reliable.
Elevators kept breaking down at peak times.
Free wifi, close to everything
Breakfast with no verity
bed and towels and airconditioning and staff can not provide Umbrella and a fan in the room.
Good location close to the river and shopping as well as public transports. Good breakfast.
Room keys failed repeatedly requiring several trips down to reception for reprogramming. No explanation, apologies or any kind of sympathy from the staff.
The location was right in the main shopping strip. Wifi worked well. The breakfast was nice.
The bed and pillows were like concrete slabs so it was very hard to get a good nights sleep. The lifts were extremely slow and not working all the time. So getting back to our room after breakfast was a nightmare. Staff were not that helpful. Also needs to have something other than news to watch in English even if it is with subtitles or to pay for.
