The Synagogue Residence    

Great location, really central - you're there! Downtown Budapest, close to Deák Ferenc tér station (main station where most lines intersect); there is also the square where you can find all the tourist information you need. Also the main place of departure for the hop-on hop-off buses. Room we had was clean an spacious, comfy, you've got everything you need (even pots, plates and glasses) with nice furnishing and appliances. Maps are availbale and tons of restaurants near by with pretty ok prices. Wireless worked fine for me. Building had 24/7 security and there were even bikes left unlocked in the lobby! :) So safe, lots of people all around enjoying the pubs near by. There's also a luggage room where you can leave you things before check-in and after check-out (should you need to)

If you get a room with a view over these pubs you'll get quite a bit of noise! (this was not the case for us, I asked for a quiet room and ours was looking over the inner courtyard). Also, like other users mentioned, if you're not paying attention you won't find the reception easily the first time you're there. This is because the hotel is in a building complex and the reception is in building 2. It's really a large passage way between 2 streets made through the buildings so you can see which number each building is when you walk beneath it (there are roman numbers listed on plates). One last thing - the price of the room can only be paid in CASH and option 1 is Euros, option 2 - Hungarian Forint or HUF (but you're better off paying with Euros)

The location was great, near ti the center of the city, less than 5min walk from all important sights. The apartment was really comfortable and fully equipment

There were many bars exactly below the apartments, so it was noisy even after midnight. Also there were no shutters to the windows, only dark curtains, so if you have problem with the morning sun, you will probably be awake from the sunrise.

The best place in Budapest I ever used during my trips to this city. All the facilities are present, everything is very clean, extremely convenient place, lots of bars and restaurants 10 meters from the building entrance, 24h security, very nice staff. 5 mins walk from metro station. I will definitely choose this place for my future visit.

Central location in/close to a street full of bars. Apparment was quite clean with a nice kitchen and separate toilet and bathroom.

Despite the fact that I asked for a quiet room, I did not sleep well during my stay due to the noise in the streets (bad isolation). I was told that by the end of April this will be solved due to new windows. After my stay I got some compensation for the nuisance. Internet was very slow at times and several times it did not work. Reception was difficult to find. I was told that they are working on all this and improvement is foreseen. Bed and sofa-bed could be more comfortable.

It was cool realy close to metro, bridge. Good breakfast on realy close coffe shop.

Could have been slightly better equipped in the kitchen area, small sharp knife, milk jug, grater were all things I looked for, and scissors would have been useful.........

Great location, just a few minutes to the metro station. Great space, very good kitchen, we had everything we needed. Friendly english-speaking staff. If I ever come back, i'd stay there again :D

It was a little hard to find reception, the building were numbered from another street, so 2 building is almost at the end. But it wasn't a big issue.

We had an excellent stay at the Budapest residence! It started when we arrived terribly late as we were caught in a snow storm driving from Krakow and did not arrive until 2am. The concierge (I believe his name was Peter or Paul - sorry!) Was so friendly and greeted us like we arrived at 2 in the afternoon! He happily took us to our room, showed us around and even went to the parking lot around the corner and waited for the guy to arrange a space for us! The flat was very open and spacious, decorated to a modern Ikea like standard. There were a few electrical fittings that needed to be properly installed, but nothing major. The bathroom was a good size with a tub and shower, plus the toilet in a separate room. We could have used more pillows or ones more plump. The location was very central and it is located in what I would consider a very trendy part of Budapest. Never felt unsafe and there is a passcode entry plus your own lock on the flat. It had all the mod cons you could need: Microwave, oven/stove, washer, fridge, etc. and views out to the main street which is quite scenic. We stayed in six different places during our trip and this was definitely one of our very best! Great value for money and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

More pillows or plump ones is really the only thing I would improve on.

It's just the gratest place to sleep in budapest! situated in the heart of budapest, neer planty bars and restaurants, this appartement has the gratest location ever. the appartement is new, verry well equiped and coasy! the people from the office are verry friendly! juste grate

If you go by car and you need a parking place, be sure to ask directions to the parking place befor arriving. It will be easyer to find it. it would even grater if in the description of the appartement we would have some indications on how to find the office, cause it's not verry clear to everyone.

It's brilliantly located, very clean and comfortable. Right at the entrance there is a fantastic restaurant, Spiler, which I recommend!

The location was perfect, very near the central metro station, and all the central sights. The apartment was warm, large, clean and very well equipped with everything needed for self catering. There's a few local restaurants and bars in easy walking distance, all good. Set back from the road in a courtyarded walkway between roads, there's little or no traffic noise, though the bar downstairs can be a heard some evenings, it's not too loud and doesn't continue much after midnight. The staff in the office were very helpful and polite. It was fantastic value for money for a pre Christmas trip to visit the Christmas markets.

The tv wasn't working for the duration of our visit, but this wasn't a major issue and I believe was down to the satelite company. We couldn't get the wifi to work, which we were advised may have been the specific apartment we were in, as each building has different connections and the apartment location can vary the strength. Was not keen on having the washing machine in the bathroom, as it is quite literally in the middle of the room, and I felt it left the electrics a little exposed in a room that gets quite wet. Apart from that I would definitely use this apartment building again, although would probably request an apartment with guaranteed wifi.

We only stayed here because on booking.com they say they accept credit card. When we went to pay we were told they only take cash. This was an enormous inconvenience, and I see they still have not changed their info online. Also, the towels were dirty.

Everything is available in the apartment - utensils, washing machine,etc.It is like a home a foreign land. It is in the city center and just 5 minutes of walk away from the Deak terrre metro station.
