Staff was wonderful, polite and courteous. Breakfast was always generous, had great selection and cleanup and refill was quick.

Internet access was terrible in my room and I needed to rely on it to make arrangements and to connect with home. It may have been a different story for someone in a different room, or if someone only occasionally needs WiFi may not have found this problematic.

    Excelent location.

Checkout at 10AM was early for us and the staff didn't care to help extend the checkout until 12AM even if we explained that we have a doctor appointment and needed to stay in the room little bit longer. Extending the stay for one more day wasn't a problem, though. Disappointing.

The excellent location is the sole redeeming attribute of this hotel. Points also awarded for cleanliness. Decent breakfast.

The grand entrance hall and sweeping staircase provides an impression of old world opulence and elegance. Beyond this lies disappointment with every turn. Our 'Classic' twin room ( which is described as one up from the lowest ' Standard ' grade resembled a converted jail cell. A huge 1980's tube tv occupying half the cosmetic table. All channels fuzzy No cnn )No bedside table. Loud slamming doors echoed throughout the huge hallways rendering sleep impossible. Tiny and dismal. We were forced to upgrade to a Superior room for extra euros just to attain some semblance of two stars. The reception staff were well versed in deflecting criticism as the patter was rehearsed basically stating the poor standard was our fault for not booking a Superior in the first place. We were reminded the city hotels were all full so negotiation was futile. They did offer 10% off our next stay, which will be never !

    The location, the garage.

The room very small, the minibar did not work, the airconditioner very noisy, no shampoo ( all in a "superior double room").
