These self-service-apartments are located in various buildings on the Pest side on the city. The furnishing shows the taste of the owner. There are one- and 2-room apartments, including bathroom, kitchen or kitchenette with dishes, refrigerator and mostly satellite-TV. Some apartments are available in the same building or close to each other. Hotel Rooms: 10

The apartment itself was very nice, all neccessary suplements were given to make our stay comfortable. I find it outragous that neither on the booking site: Booking.com, nor in the confirmation email from toma was it mentioned that the apartment is not in Oktober 6th. Street but someplace else. This type of false advertisement is totally unacceptable!!! I'm Hungarian but I wrote this in English because I want this comment to be available for foreigners as well.

It was a very good location, close to public transport. Neighbours were very quiet. Reasonable rates. The apartment was quite spacious, more so than expected, with everything we needed and more. Shame we didn't know there was going to be a washing machine in advance as we could have brought less clothes ! Great that there was a bath with a shower. Very nice to find some information about Budapest, a things going on magazine, and leaflets about tourist attractions. Kitchen was quite well equipped apart from nothing to light the cooker with, and as we don't smoke we had to go shopping for some matches ! It was good to have a sofa and television for some relaxation in the evenings, especially as I has come for dental treatment so sometimes just wanted to chill out indoors. There were quite a few places to eat or drink locally. We found a lovely restaurant a few streets away with gypsy musicians playing while we ate local Hungarian food - heaven ! The arrangements for returning the key were unclear, as the lady where we picked up the key spoke no English and it didn't tell us on the paperwork. We only noticed it on the wall two days after arriving ! We didn't like the fact that the floors and apartments were not numbered so it was really difficult to work out which flat was which until you got into the balcony, and the locks were very hard to get into so it took ages to find the right apartment. There were three keys, for the main building, the balcony and the apartment, none of which were labelled. All the locks were worn, so difficult to open, particularly the balcony one. We also didn't like the fact that we didn't know where the dustbins were located so we had to just leave a bin liner full when we left.

Our apartment was in Garibaldi utca, near the Parliament, 5th district, close to public transport or 20 minutes walk to the center. Nice old building, in a very quiet area. The apartment was relatively small, with one double bed and a sofa, small table, wardrobes, tv, everything was clean. Small kitchen was provided with everything, complete new kitchenware, small fridge, microwave, etc. Keys were handed over by nice and friendly middle aged gentlemen at the to ma agency. Overall recommended, value for money. No internet connection, a bit cluttered with furniture, overheated as central heating cannot be turned down.

Location of the apartment where I stayed was excellent - a 5 min walk from the Deak Ferenc Ter station, which is an interchange station, and from the pedestrian street Váci Utca. There were also convenient tram and bus services near to the station. The apartment was spacious. There were a large sitting room, bedrooms that could sleep 3 adults and 2 children and a well-equipped kitchen. A good value for money for family or group travellers. There were a few restaurants/pubs near the apartment which created some noise at night. But with the windows shut, it is not a problem.

Apartment was in a central location ( I stayed in 5th district), close to everything basically. It was quiet and we didn't hear any noise from outside at all. Only downside was that we has no window which is going outside only to the inside garden so it was a little bit dark, but we didn't mind as were coming back from city at night anyway. Staff from agency was really good as well, helpfull and nice. Good value for money, apartment was tidy and had even washing machine and iron. I would recommend it.

In the middle of the city, very cheap, enough space for everybody. No Internet available, only one key per flat. If you rent more than one flat they could be in different streets.

We booked two bed room apartment and we had a big apartment (on sale) on Rumbach street. The apartment had two bed rooms plus small bed room, a sitting room and well equipped kitchen so it was very big for three people. The location wes excellent and it was definitely good value of money. Picking up the key in the shop / agency then walk to the apartment was a bit uncomfortable. There was noise from pubs near by during weekend.

It was easy to find the reception and the house were the apartment was located. The apartment was much bigger than we expected and had a great location, almost next to the parliament building. Really nice apartment and definitely worth the money. Nothing really. There were some small things with the apartment (like the shower making the entire bathroom wet) but we told the reception when we left and they said they they would fix it. It would also have been useful to get more than one key.

“The best thing is that the apartment in which we stood, was near the centre, in 10 minutes you were on Vaci Utca, from there in 10 minutes at the Parliament and so on. Also, there was a supermarket near the apartment so if you wanted to buy something, you could easily reach it.” Andrea, Baia Mare |

“The City Hotel Matyas is one of the best things we faced during our 4 day visit to Budapest! Excellent staff speaking good English, wonderful breakfast at one of local must-visit-restaurants, best location, value for money! If you are looking for budget accomodation which can also provide you with the best location in the city - the City Hotel Matyas is probably the only one you need to choose! Special thank you to all receptionists - we've met many during our stay - they do their best! You may ask them for any help - and they are always ready to assist with any advice or immediate action!:)” Anna, Moscow |
