Comfort of room, beautifully practical and spotless bathroom, friendly and very helpful receptionists, excellent breakfasts. Just that, for a city hotel, I thought it a little strange that the bar closed at around 10 pm, although this was not a problem. |

The staff was helpful and the location was ideal. The view from the room was a plus. Wish the elevator went to the 9th floor. |

We had stayed at the Victoria many years ago and were impressed by the staff. They are still one of the major reasons we would return. It has become a very expensive place to stay, not unlike the rest of Europe. |

Absolutely everything. Ideal location for all sites of interest. Super breakfast. Larger than average rooms. Last but not least, brilliant staff who understood our British sense of humour!! |

Excellent and very friendly staff without exception. Brilliant location on the Buda side by the chain bridge and a stone's throw from the Castle. Right on the Danube with spectacular views up and down the river. |

This was our second stay at the Victoria and we were just as happy as our first visit. Great location for walking or using city transport to see Buda or Pest. Expansive room views of the Danube River and the astonishing Hungarian Parliament building. Great breakfast and a quick walk to several really good restuarants with views of the Danube. |

Good location, easy to get to., with little noise. I could stay here again. Minor point, really. They were happy to look after baggage after checkout, but they didn't not appear to have a separate storage space or a system to identify what baggage belonged to whom. |

Everything. From being met at the entrance, to the very friendly staff. Perhaps at times the observation of the secure parking.( slow on closing the remote doors) |

Excellent position overlooking the river, rooms very comfortable and well equiped The tram line was closed making it more difficult to get to / from the hotel. Breakfast was quite poor, the coffee stone cold. |

Our room had the most amazing view of the Danube and very close to the Chain Bridge. Easy walking distance to the Castle The hotel was overall- just ok. The amenities were not that great and there was construction right in front of the hotel which made it a little ugly when you walked outside. |

I liked very much the view from the 9th floor. The hotel is very close to all the facilities in town. We could reach it all by walking. It was an excelent breakfast. (Much more personal than we are used to.) And it was a fair price i think. All the works going on outside the hotel. Gave a lot of dust and sand and made it "slippery" to walk. |

The staff was very helpful with all of our excursion in and out of Budapest. They were always very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was excellent. Not only did they have a full spread of breads, cheeses, meats, fruits and nuts, cereals, and beverages, but also they would fix you eggs however you like- fried or an omelet with a choice of bacon, cheese, sausage, or mushrooms. The only suggestion would be some chairs on the balcony would be nice. The view from our balcony was fabulous, but we had no where to sit to enjoy it. The lighting in the bathroom was a little dim, but otherwise the room was fine. |

Clean room, very nice stuff, next to the main attractions of the city Great view Room service(I ordered a bottle of wine and some snucks and I had to take them to the room by myself on a dish). It is not adequate for 100 euros per night |

The rooms although a bit dated, were very clean, There was a a good choice of breakfast and enough food to set you up for a days sightseeing. The overall best feature of this hotel is the view from the rooms situated at the front of the hotel. Great restaurant nearby (Sophias) with a very friendly staff. Hotel within walking distance of the busier Pest side. No tea coffee or making facilities in rooms, bar closed at 10pm so unable to get a drink, even coffee after this time. On arriving at the hotel one evening we asked night porter for a coffee at 10.05. He told us the bar was closed and did not offer room service. Mini bar in room but usual inflated prices and no hope of a hot drink. Also no iron in room as is usual for a 4 star in the UK. |
