Location Price Staff Cleanliness Peacefulness Quiet
No power points in bathroom
The location is excellent with private beach access at one end of the complex and directly onto the main road at the other end. This would be the perfect romantic getaway for a couple or friends travelling together.
I was travelling with my husband and children aged 3 and 5. Ajanta villas are not exactly child friendly, there were a number of major safety issues in this regard.
The rooms were clean, airy, cool and very well serviced. The staff were attentive, polite, friendly but always respected our privacy. Sanur is on the quiet side of the island away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Seminyak but still only a $10 taxi ride if you want to visit. We found the traffic in Sanur very quiet and managed to navigate a morning bike riding.
I had to search hard to find something I didn't like but to be very picky....The bikes they lend you for free were average at best. And at first the walk through the alleyway to the beach was like running the gauntlet but once the market ladies are familiar with you its a bit of fun with their banter.
Close to everything, Staff tries very hard, with sometimes difficult situations, WIFI was reliable. Even though my 'don't like' list is longer then my 'like' list, it was only 2 things (Market walk way and cold showers) that annoyed us. Breakfast was generous at the Beach Cafe or with the room service and included in the price. We had Villa A, a 2 bedroom villa that is not inter-connected, so good for 2 couples but not for a family with small children. We probably would not go back to the Ajanta
That we had to walk through the market to reach the beach. The market was an annoyance in the morning but outright dangerous at night when you had to walk back trough an unlit dark place to get to the units after a dinner out on the beach. We would not recommend that for a family with small children. We had no hot water for showers for the first 4 days which was finaly rectified when we threatened to move to a different resort.
Service was a standout, especially from Intan. My daughter was sick and the staff and management went out of there way to make things easy for us. The quality build of the villas was also a standout, especially in light of the average bali building standards. Our villa was huge, very clean rooms but also pool. In house breakfast cooks was also very good. Would have no problems returning here and can't recommend it enough.
The comfort of getting away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The outdoor pavilion and pool was where myself and grand daughter spent 80% of our time. Easy access to excellent restaurants on the beach. The styling of the villas was very appealing and private.
Refrigerator was not cold when we arrived. Malfunction of CD/DVD player and air conditioner was frustrating. We had no hot water for the first 3 days. Maintenance was not a priority. The breakfast menu was boring and would be better if they offered a buffet breakfast instead.
Vicinity to beach, markets, restaurants and shops were great
Clean, nice design and private. Love Sanur and where the hotel is situated. Would suit some people well
The mosquito net didnt fit around the bed. Why supply a mosquito net (you need one in Bali) that doesnt fit the bed? was quite strange. Staff left the doors open one night - wide open. The doors to the villas didnt lock. breakfast was so late so we couldnt eat before our transfer.we ordered it the night before. Not managed very well. Its those small things you pay for as well as the location etc. They didnt match the price.
Lovely villa with all the extras one would expect for the price. Helpful staff and good breakfast, free pick up from airport, nice restaurant, central Sanur location.
Lack of hot water in shower and poor water pressure. The walk to the beach through the market with very persistent vendors. Best advice to say no thanks
Staff were really helpful. Kept the place really clean, but were not intrusive. Always willing to help and organise trips and the guys that cooked the breakfast in the villa were great lads, always on time and delicious food. I would come back.
There were wifi issues while I was there, which meant I could not use it for a couple of days, apart from those days it was adequate. I was told by one of the staff member that a taxi from Sanur to Kuta would cost me 250,000 on one of my first days, but in reality it is only 100,000. I guess this is because they want you to book a driver with them, a little white lie that didn't go unnoticed. I'm nit picking, the place was fabulous.
Amazing place to stay and ++great value for money. 2 minute walk to beach. Very private and relaxing. Room service is provided by an adjacent restaurant which is amazing and cheap. Quiet. If I went back to Sanur I would definatly go back there. Staff were so friendly and free shuttle to airport at 5am was added bonus
Lovely relaxing holiday in Sanur. Good location, close to both Main Street, restaurants and beach. We had a 2 bedroom villa with a large private pool. Very clean, we'll kept grounds, lovely staff, excellent service. At $210 per night I think it was excellent value for money.
The food at boththeir street cafe and their beach cafe was not great. Opt to have breakfast cooked for you in your villa rather than eat attune beach cafe.
Spacious villas, friendly, helpful staff.
Walkway through to beach, is a market. Not comfortable to walk though at night, and hassled every time you walk through during the day.
VILLA B - loved it.
Wi-Fi service very poor at times.
Private Pool Walking Distance to Beach and Restaurants Special Requests catered for Breakfast Options - Villa, Beach or Café, which are included Friendly Staff Restaurants and Food Quality good
Inconsistent with Daily Room Service
The staff are incredibly friendly and nothing is too much trouble to make your stay more comfortable.
No negatives at all.
Great staff Great location! Rooms are very nice and clean
The service was excellent ! Dyan, who manned the service desk, had the best of manners, ideas and service ! She catered to all our needs, and gave us very good advice for our day trip to Ubud. Dyan definitely made a difference to our trip.
The mozzies in the room and the lack of pressure from the shower.
Beautiful Villa with a stunning private pool
The villa was great, awesome pool. Also, the location in Sanur is excellent.
Breakfast - not many options. The direct way to the beach went through a souvenirs market, that ment that every way to or from the beach was a constant hassle from the sellers
The spacious rooms.
Villas are too old, and there's no mosquito nets provided.
The location to the beach and shopping was very good. The staff were very friendly and made sure that we enjoyed our stay. The unit was very spacious could have been a bit cleaner . I would recommend Ajanta to my friends.
I did not like having to access the beach through the market area, especially at night.
The villa is nice and the beach is close.
The details of service could be improved. 1, The airport pick up service is late for about 40 minutes because the staff went to the wrong terminal. This could be avoided because we have given the detail flight information in advance. 2, The two keys to the side door did not work, it's strange not to replace the bad keys after previous guest C/O.
