Location was nice for people who want to relax away from everything and don't want to look around much. Amazing massage and most of the staff were really nice.

The room on arrival was dirty, dusty and rotten walls, pillows by the pool completely rotten. Even after asking 3 times the manager to clean the room this was not completely done. We were given completely different room than we booked, so take care, pictures are at all not accurate. The manager and the GM offered some free massage and dinner which was the least they could do as we would never book this place knowing this in advance and it kind of ruined our till than nice honeymoon.

Great location in the heart of Ubud jungle. Amazing view from the pool and the villas. Wonderful to hear the river while fallung asleep. Love the experience!

Nothing - just for peoplr to know you're in the jungle so there is "jungle noise" and humidity - but that's definetely worth the price!

Scenery and surrounds of the resort. Very scenic and nice views.

Layout of the rooms very haphazard. We had the 4 room villa which was very utilitarian in its layout with the pool in the wrong place for all the rooms to share. Two guests cut their fingers on the very sharp door pulls and the furnishings very spartan in the rooms. Lots of space but very poorly laid out. Breakfast was mediocre with no real choice although staff were helpful and courteous but did not seem to go that extra mile.

Alam Ubud is a lovely hotel, but I found the villa damp and musty. This is not a fault of the staff but simply the result of being set within the rain forest. I was in Villa 3, and I found it too oppressive being set in the trees

Musty smell in Villa Three. Forest too close to villa ... need to cut soem trees down to let in some light. Very expensive for what was offered.

    - spectactular location if you want to be away from the crowds - privacy and the villa itself - space/atmosphere

    - kitchen ok but not great

A beautiful setting in the rainforest. Superb swimming pools. Outstanding massage in relaxing facilities. The villa was spacious, spotlessly clean and well maintained. The view from the balcony overlooking the rainforest was peaceful and relaxing. All staff were polite and helpful. The shuttle to Ubud provided by the hotel was always on time and efficient, which was a valuable service. They arranged for a driver( Yoman ) to take us on a number of half day tours which was excellent. We would strongly recommend this driver as he was knowledgeable, polite and patient, taking great care to make sure all our needs we're met.

Provide more drinking water in the villas.

I stayed at Bisma 1. This place has 17 villas with breathtaking view at The Pool, Rock River, Spa, Bale Kangen and from the room balcony. Fresh weather combine with the sound of the river is priceless. The afternoon tea was excellent, we still can enjoyed them despite of late request (almost 6pm) while it should be between 3-5pm. The boogie ride to reach our villa was a fun ecperience. Very suitable place for honeymooners, the couples can enjoy the place and the villa provide shuttle to centre of ubud for shopping.

Access to Rock River and the spa which about 100 steps down. It was worthed when you reach both places... but I was out of breath going back upstairs taking that 100 steps up :) This place not a wheelchair friendly. :(

    The view was great!

The staff, by trying to be friendly, they were a little bit rude. It was a tree in our room. Good idea but the tree was a Jack fruit tree, It was too smelly and wet in our room. Too dangerus for the kids, no ptotection in the balcony.

Alam Ubud truly is an amazing resort. Straight from the beginning we were greeted by friendly staff who were incredibly helpful. As for our villa, WOW. We had a private pool, overlooking the rainforest yet still in pure privacy (every villa is laid out to be super private) The villa itself was huge, very comfortable, perfectly clean and the bed was an absolute dream. I really would recommend Alam Ubud to anyone. Young couples (like us) mature couples, groups of friends, it really is the perfect place.

Alam is a absolute Haven in Ubud, it's away from the noisy crowds and busy streets. The staff are excellent willing to assist with anything, the Villas have amazing views. I would recommend this place especially if you would like to get away from reality and relax.

    Didn't have a gym

The location is perfect relaxation. The surrounding is very green and you can hear the sound of water. Great place for tranquility and very peaceful.

The service in the restaurant is poor and it takes long time to get the order. The quality of the food is standard and very expensive. The breakfast is simple. It could be nicer if there is a local breakfast.

Lovely spacious villa with balcony in the jungle above the stream. Room service, movies, great infinity pool with cool clear water. Lots of rice paddies in the vicinity as well to see on a bike ride.

The location is amazing ... between rice fields and forest. The swimming pool is very nice in the middle of the forest. The villa is big, clean and with balcony ... very relaxing.

The pool is really nice and scene is beautiful, relax place

The restaurant is not good, around the pool there are not enough seats. A bit far from city, just two schutle.

The natural surroundings are what made us come back for a second time as it's so beautiful. The rooms are lovely and the infinity pool has an amazing view

The lower deck and pool by the forest is not being fully utilised. What would be nice would to have cocktail evenings down there and get people to use it as it's really beautiful. The lower deck is rotting as it's not being cared for. There are not enough deck chairs upstairs which is terrible as you spend so much money to stay and shouldn't have to lie on the ground!

From the very first moment of our arrival to Alam Ubud, we received a lovely welcome from the receptionist, Puspa, who offered us refreshments and a bowl filled with cool water and flowers to soak our feet in. Following our check-in, she accompanied us to our villa, and walked us through its facilities. That was a nice gesture really. The location was not too far from Ubud centre — approx. 15 mins by car, which is convenient, and shuttle cars were provided couple of times a day from and to the resort. While the resort was surrounded by stunning nature, as this is what Bali is all about, yet the infinity pool is overlooking an open space, bringing a nice feel to it. Breakfast was OK, but maybe they could use more variety. Overall it was a very pleasant stay, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a lovely, romantic stay in Ubud.

They upgraded us on arrival while we had a complimentary foot bath and cool drink. We celebrated our wedding anniversary while we were there, I had let them know it was our anniversary when I booked, it was not mentioned again. Imagine the surprise and the pleasure when we arrived back at our villa to have the bed covered in rose petals two swans made from towels and happy anniversary spelt out in flowers, truly beautiful. If that wasn't enough they made us an anniversary cake. We had massages in our own private spa which was part of our villa and it was sublime. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back. The food was great and reasonably priced

    Wine was very expensive

We loved that the hotel and room was so private and the natural surroundings were amazing! It truly was a very peaceful weekend. Highly recommend.

The food at the hotel was subpar for the extravagance that the hotel offers. Although, all of their Indonesian dishes were very good.

the stairs furniture in the toilet needs to be repainted if you dont have your own car/motorbike the location is a bit far from the city center for value/money a 50$ room in Maya Resort is better, because is better loaction and nicer view and facilities but the staff in Maya not good at all
