The staff was very friendl and helpful. You can rent a motorcycle for a verly low price to discover the coast. We left early and the bos was fair and charged just one extra night insted of the 3 nights we should have stayed longer.

We have no idea how they got all the good comments! The aircondition was loud as hell, you have to walk about 15 minutes to the next beach where every inch is filled with fisher boats. For all guests just 5 sunbeds, right beside one of the pools there is a construction area. For a relaxing holiday not to recommend!

We stayed for 5 days and were very sad to leave. We wished we had booked for longer. The Augerah has the most amazing ocean views and cool breezes. We stayed in the deluxe rooms at the top. The view to the ocean amd the Mt Agung hillside is breathtaking. Worth every step to climb. The pool was the cleanest I have ever swum in and the temperature was perfect. Half a dozen sun beds and shade from the beautiful garden - plenty for everyone. Breakfast is included and was everything we needed to start the day. Pancakes, toast, fruit juices (the pineapple and the watermelon juices were delicious). I looked at the kitchen and it was spotless and all the food bought fresh each day. There is cold water, soft drinks and Bintang beer available 24/7 from the fridge at reception/restaurant. It is an honour system at night so let the staff know in the morning what you had. I wanted a fridge and the room did not come with one but hey presto! a bar fridge was hauled up and in my room when I came back from swimming! There is even the best stocked mimi mart a few doors from the Anugerah which is new and modern and stocks just about anything, even wine. They also run a coffee shop and have tables at the front so you can watch the world go by. Restaurants are a 1-10 minute walk away, including a modern Spa for massages. I went here and also Putu booked Nyoman for me who lives near Anugerah and will come to the room. Heaven. The staff were gorgeous and helpful, they could not do enough for us. This is a boutique family owned hotel which is managed by the son Putu. Putu is a new father with a month old son Gede. Putu has a heart of gold and was the best guide and driver for us. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Wherever we wanted to go he would take us and be back to pick us up. We had a drive around the coastline and taken to the best snorkelling spots. Anugerah Villas is a few minutes drive from the Japanese wreck and Jemeluk Beach, our favourites for snorkelling.

fresh mountain air and epic views. amazing value right near the best dive spots in Bali , mount Agung and Gili island . Even spoil yourself with fine dinning at the 5 star resort and spa "the Griya" right next door.

We enjoyed our stay!! Putu, the owner, is great! The location was wonderful and the room was a great value for the money!! Nice pool and beautiful view!!

The breakfast was good and included in the price but for lunch and dinner the quality of the food needs improving.

It must be the best view in Amed to the sea and mountain behind the hotel! Location is great, close to diving spots and other atractions nearby. Staff was nice and polite. Villas are surrounded with Palm and other nice plants.

Putu is great. Available to help you with anything you need and arranged drivers, massage, scuba, and a scooter for us. Amed is beautiful and affordable.

Wifi connection could be improved. Wasn't able to connect from the rooms, only by the pool area.

For people going to Amed, this is a great option. Not much luxury, but worth it's price. Friendly staff, good breakfast and surrounded by excellent diving schools and restaurants.

The cleanliness in the restaurant and the quality of food made us having lunch and dinner elsewhere.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was good for the price. Location is pretty good. We had chosen a room online with a second bed for our six year-old and a bath, but upon arrival the manager offered the top room with the best view (this property is build on the hillside like most in this area). We switched to a lower room with a bath closer to the pool so we could more easily keep an eye on our son. While the hotel is on the main/only road, it was very quiet with almost no traffic at night (granted we were there at the beginning of December, low season). Breakfast here was basic but good. All staff members provided prompt and good service. There are TVs in the rooms, but there's no signal or cable - just a DVD player. We asked the manager if he had any DVDs, and he lent us a few surprisingly good movies in English. Wifi here, like in almost all the hotels we stayed at on Bali, is through a cell phone hotspot, so it's slow (but that was the case everywhere without exception in our experience). The rooms had basic, "budget" level furnishings. Beds were ok. Rooms were clean. Our bathroom was "open air", which is cool, and common on Bali, however that inevitably means you'll run into bugs out there. This is a family-run, staffed by a young and friendly group. The owner/manager is Putu, a young guy whose father set up the hotel when Amed started booming a few years ago. Putu is always nearby, along with two or three other staff members. The hotel close to Lipah Beach, which is beautiful. You can walk across the small road in front of the hotel and down a trail to the ocean, about 200 meters from the road. The beach in front of the hotel is rocky (smooth small stones), and is actually in front of a couple of other "beachfront" hotels. Anyone can be on the beach - great snorkeling all along the coast of Amed, including right out in front of this hotel and at Lipah Beach.

Cable TV would have been nice. I suggest making more DVDs available to guests. Not as close to the water as some other properties, but those places are more expensive as far as I could tell. Some rooms don't have great views.

Simple hotel, good value for money, staff is nice and available.

Difficult to access to the hotel, no access by car, only by small and narrow path. Very small swimming pool (compare to the photo)

A family run establishment where the staff are more than willing to help in anyway they can whether it be transport bookings or anything else. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. A great location with great views and best of all great value for money!

We got a nicer room than we expected. Great view of the ocean from our bed. Breakfast on balcony. There was a DVD player and some movies for rainy nights and we could rent some movies from the neigbors (Spa). Mosquito net. Breakfast was ok (sometimes it was great, othertimes it was burned). Room service on demand. Nice and helpful staff. Nice area (snorkeling at a sunken ship; great restaurants; Spas in the neighborhood).

A lot of tiny ants come to your room (maybe because of food). There always was an ugly smell in the garden (maybe because of some chemicals in the pool or durians?) from which you'll be fed up with after some days.

We were given one of the brand new upstairs rooms (2 months old) which had excellent ocean views full of colourful Indonesian sailing boats (seem to have the best view & well worth the stay), good sized balcony with nice breezes. Modern large clean room with a few power points & only one light in the bedroom, mid sized older style tv, dvd player & several DVDs, fridge (after we requested it), big fairly comfortable bed & hard pillows, table & 2 chairs, no sink, no kettle, no cups or glasses, no coffee or tea, slow internet (4- 100KB/s) in lobby and pool area only (but possibly in some front rooms as well), honest & very friendly staff, free motorbike parking, very poor airconditioning as it could not keep the room cool (in a very hot October, possibly ok June to August), secure door locks, curtains are a bit thin (good for an early start to the day), reasonable wet bathroom with no toiletries, two towels & a bath mat. Adequate sized breakfast – pancake, juice & coffee as a part of the room cost. Pool, set amongst lovely gardens, was clean and nice although with only 3 lounges, very few guests can enjoy it. One review we read said to just walk in & pay 150,00Rp per night, however with breakfast included for 2 people & at 220,000Rp per night (almost the same price) through Agoda or, I would opt for booking ahead. Small supermarkets are plentiful nearby, as are many empty western restaurants.

The bathroom had no windows so it was like a sauna. The hot water even when on full hot was only just warm but ok as the bathroom was a sauna anyway. I complained about this but they said that it was ok. I later found the hot water system was turned down too low, so I turned it up – a lot better. Possibly trying to save money. Some downstairs rooms would not have as nice a view as the upper storey rooms. Only found 2 good authentic Indonesian restaurants a kilometre plus from the hotel. The food at the motel was the usual western style hotel fare – not authentic Indonesian food. The economic climate around Amed seems desperate as there are lots of vacant hotels and empty restaurants. Hiring a motorbike is beneficial here.

Friendly staff, nice room and pool. Near to restaurants and dive shops

10 min taxi ride from Amed. Beach is stones, not sand
