Owner was very professional, business minded, first world thinker. Staff however were mysteriously passive aggressive (no matter what we asked for, they repeated it back to us, and then we got it, kind of, but never what we asked for - always something in error) or perhaps genuinely not understanding our requests (eg: book a taxi for 9:15 and it gets booked for 9:00, ask for tea without milk and it comes with milk, etc, etc). I stayed in 2 rooms and saw 3 - all had toilets with no walls, none had ventilation. Be on familiar terms with your signifcant other! Suite room smelled awful (rising damp smell) (we got moved to the super deluxe later and it was great). I haven't stayed in many homestays before so perhaps my expectations were misplaced, but it all seemed rather odd.
Good location about 10 minute walk to the main sanur road and the beach. Pool was shallow but clean and nice. Owner was lovely, very nice and professional.
