fantastic scenery and surroundings. great architecture. staff service excellent
Beautiful setting in the jungle. Incredibly friendly staff. Spacious villa with private pool. Highly recommended.
Everything about Bididari was 5star. Rana and his staff look after you like you're part of the family, but they are in no way intrusive. Standout was the pool with the views and the private al fresco brekky was a close second. Also, the timely lifts into and out of town for dinner. This was a treat for our honeymoon but i know this is what luxury travel should be about.
Nothing to not like, if there had been any issues, i have no doubt the staff would have resolved them in quick time.
The location is awesome makes you feel very close to nature yet the hotel makes sure good connectivity to market with it's transport service.
Nothing everything was absolutely perfect.
We were at Bidadari for one part of our honeymoon and stayed there for 3 nights. Each day was an amazing experience. All staff were very kind and keen to help us whenever we needed them. We had an unforgettable stay and everything was designed to make it special and unique. We recommend it to everybody planning to visit Bali.
Nothing that we didn't like.
Staff was friendly Nice and comfy villas
Switched our villa to a 4br villa as an 'upgrade' but don't allow this as the 2br villa is actually the best one.
We stayed in villa Tunjung, it was very comfortable, the pool is great, staff is very helpful and kind. It was a great experience, relaxing and reinvigorating, experience to do again. General Manager Mr. Rana was very king, and very good in his job, compliments to him.
Obviously when you want immerse yourself in the nature, you have to take the good and evil of it. There was a lot of lizard and little gecko that left their excrements in the villa, but believe me it is absolutely passable compared with rest of experience.
the location was amazing the peacefulness was unmatched truly an amazing experience
the Mosquitos were non stop even though repellents were provided by the hotel
Excellent staff and wonderful location
The hotel is made up of 6 villas built up by an Australian couples in a valley 20 years ago. We were staying in No 2 villa which is the lowest one in the valley with an infinity swimming pool facing the valley, so the view is absolutely beautiful. The shower room is outdoors as well. No one will disturb you unless someone happens to past by the mountain opposite.
Since the villa is very old and dark, I felt so scared that I followed my husband whereever he went during night. I did not sleep well as there were strange sounds coming from the valley. The staffs were trying to be nice to us, but the services are not international standard. I would like to mention that I'm disappointed with the towels and quilt covers which seems they have been used for decades.
Tunjun villa is recommended. We were honeymooners and everything was perfect.
Perfect hospitality and most welcoming staff
Frogs all around the hotel
Very vancy and comfortable place. Recommended for honey moons :) I liked the view at this place and the hospitality was very wonderful.
Stairs are very hard to be used daily. Wifi could be weak or lost at some places. A bit expensive.
Amazing place, excellent service
Fanastic service! We feel a very welcome and like "King"! We have been lived lots of 5 star hotels. But, this is only general manager and sales manager were waiting for us in the front of door to check in. Very impressed! If we got any problem, ring them anytime, staff came to our villa very quckily and fixed the problem. When we left and check out, general manager and sales manager came and say bye for us. Gave us a gift and lots of fresh fruits! Very very comfortable and worth to stay. The villa is on the mountain, but no mosquito at all in the bedroom. Unbeliveable!
Nothing wrong with the villa! But, Booking.com is terrible! !!!!We booked 3 nights through Booking. com. Because we saw the villa's website and Booking.com's price and package was the same. We should have enjoy family package which including massage, dinner or lunch, airport pick up and drop in, ect....BUT, before the day we arrived, we rang villa about airport pick up, but, villa's staff said we couldn't have family package, because booking.com didn't give them any information about this, we only can have room, nothing else. We was so angry. Never never use booking.com anymore!
I booked the villa reading the other reviews and had very high expectation to begin with.. Let me say this, I wan’t disappointed! And it was even nicer that I could have imagined. We stayed at Jepun villa and we loved the fact that is was very cozy and private and we definitely recommend it for honeymooners as it is very romantic. It is truly amazing. We loved the semi-open lunge area upstairs, the private pool overlooking the valley, the outdoor hot tube and shower, his and her sink and all the small details that make you feel special. Things like notes on your bed welcoming you, a hand written thank you note on departure, complimentary phone with local sim card to call the driver to pick you up from the city, complimentary afternoon tea and snacks, small treats for bed time, insect repellents, and the list goes one. The staff is so well trained and genuinely nice and warm. Every single one of the staff knows you and greets you by name and Mr Rana even came at 4 AM to personally wish us good bye when we checked out. Plan to spend some time at the Villa itself, it is well worth it and try also the spa.
I guess the lights in the bedroom were a little faint but it was part of the charm and did't bother us too much. Water in the pool is a little cold and you can not swim during the night but still worth it!
The small and compact resort offered wonderful hospitality and genuine warmth of reception. Attention to detail and service was impeccably delivered.
Perceived lack of security in villas and rooms a little disconcerting. Pool should have been lightly heated for more comfort. Had a fall in the room from slippery floors and steps leading to to the pool. No first aid ?!. Steps to villas very steep and certainly not child or aged friendly.
private, Calm, Ubud culture and people
warm water for pool and jaquezy
Everything - Staff, Villas, Pools, Food in general was great in particular the Breakfast. Shuttle service excellent and complimentary local phone is very handy.
kind staff, view of the valley, decoration, design and architecture of the villas
the wifi was sometimes a bit slow
the staff is so welcoming and friendly and helpful and service is really great!! the villa is so quite and peaceful...clean and comfy! the internet is good! the food is delicious. transportation at any time and anywhere within Ubud.
Location..its kind of far from the centre of Ubud with all the resturants and shops there...however, the good transportation offered by the hotel solves the problem. Also the light in the villa is so dim you barely see things at night..and you cant even know there is a pool when its night!..I would really like to suggest putting some lights in the pool to give it nicer look at night!
The staff are wonderful, they are all smiley and very attentive to our needs. The free shuttle is a big plus and mobile phone that they let you carry around to make calls for shuttle arrangement so much easier is a really nice touch. The setting is beautiful, we spent a lot of time chilling out in the private pool and during our entire stay we hardly see other guests at all! I'd love to stay there again and will highly recommend Bidadari to my friends.
Not enough electricity plug outlets in the rooms for charging phones and cameras.
Exceptional experience overall, and would recommend Bidadari Private Villas & Retreat to anyone wanting a very private holiday!
Stunning view from the bedroom, very quiet and comfortable place and relaxing. Hotel also provides free transportation between Ubud yet it's location is good.
The swimming pool... It's too cold in the valley so we couldn't use it. It's a pity.
I had had an excellent stay at this place. In my view it was definately worth to spend my money for staying here. Upon early arrival I was told my room was not yet ready and I would be upgraded into the larger family villa for one night. I told them I would rather have a place from where I would not have to move after the first night. Immediately the manager decided I could stay for the full duration (5 days) in the same upgraded villa. The villa itself is very spacious, airy and nice lay-out. There are some different levels in the villa that make it a playful design. The villa comes with all the conveniences that you may want to use even if you decided to stay for a longer period. The pool was of decent size as well, although the water was a bit fresh for my liking. But that could just be personal preference. The villa is well located with nice views over the valley, away from the main road making them very quiet except for the occasional dogs, chickens and other birds in the area. The staff was fluent in English and treated me like I was a special guest. Noteworthy is the flexibility of the free transport to town. Just call (using provided mobile phone) and a car will be arranged in either direction.
Only two minor negative points are the requirement to decide on breakfast dishes and time in the evening and the temperature of the master bedroom. It was needed to switch on the a/a rather early in afternoon and to close the curtains to keep the sun out of the room. I understand that the standard villas are a bit cooler as they face less sun and the rooms are somewhat smaller. (Please note that I try to keep my bedroom temperature below 15dC whenever possible!)
