Bunaken Beach Resort is located on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, known for its pristine beach and marine life. It features massages, a restaurant and a beach bar, and offers both standard rooms and private air-conditioned bungalows. All rooms come with an attached patio with a seating area, and have an en suite shower and toilet. Standard rooms have a fan instead of an air conditioner. Colourful gardens decorate the entire property. Beach Resort Bunaken can be accessed via Manado Harbour. It is a 30-minute drive from Sam Ratulangi Airport to Manado Harbour, and then 45 minutes by boat to Bunaken Island. Airport pick-up and boat transfers can be arranged for a fee. When not snorkelling or diving, guests can enjoy the sun terrace or just laze on the beach. Laundry service is on offer at the 24-hour front desk. Local cuisine and Indonesian dishes are served at the restaurant, and the resort’s beach-side bar pours cocktails and a variety of other drinks. Room service is just a call away. The staff were really friendly and great food (plus lots of it)! We had the place mostly to ourselves so was quiet and relaxing with a beautiful garden and lots of space to sit around and relax in. It can be difficult to get out to go snorkelling as you have to walk through mangroves and then sandy/coral/reedy water trying to avoid starfish to get to the reef but if you just stick some booties on, it's not too bad.

Service is geweldig! Zowel de gastvrouw, de bediening en de medewerkers van de boot voor duiken en snorkelen zijn zeer bereidwillig en attent, zonder opdringerig te worden. De plek ligt prachtig aan het strand en de tuin is prachtig onderhouden. Appartementen zijn schoon, diegene met zeezicht zijn klein, de anderen die uitkijken op de tuin zijn royaler. Het eten is voortreffelijk.

Heel goed onthaal. Personeel enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Waren ook enorm flexibel voor het aanpassen van menu naargelang smaak van de gasten. Iedereen eet samen: een gezellige sfeer. Ideaal om te snorkelen en toch wat te kunnen rusten. Tuin enorm goed onderhouden. Koraal is vlak voor het Bunaken Beach Resort en is supermooi! Ook voor degenen die willen duiken zijn er alle voorzieningen. Kamers op zich heel proper maar zouden op zich wel een likje verf kunnen gebruiken. Plafond veel vlekken. Lakens zouden ook wel eens mogen worden vernieuwd. Ontbijt zou iets uitgebreider mogen zijn.

From the Outside the hotel is pretty nice. The offered boat pick-up from Manado is not the cheapest (500,000 idr) but way cheaper than the other private boats (900,000). Staff is helpful and trusts you when it comes to self-service at the bar. Best thing about the hotel is the reef which is just a few metres away from the beach. there are, for god's sake, no urchins to stumble into in front of the hotel. Other parts of the beach on the island provide you that painful experience (believe me- PAINUL). The prices of the dive center are totally inappropriat!!! Almost 100 eur for 2,5 hours snorcheling for 6 persons is a rip-off price. At another hotel we paid about 4eur per person for boat and snorkel equipment. the rooms are okay but there is mold on the wall. Bottle of beer costs 35,000 for those who want to get hammered.
