The food was average, always overcooked (fresh tuna fried to very dry condition). We were the only guests for 2 nights and asked not to cook too spicy but they forgot about it the next day so we can hardly find something to eat. When there are no restaurants or shops it's a disaster.
No electricity at daytime so no wifi (manager told he ordered a new battery for UPS three months ago but who cares when you pay 120 EUR per night). Wifi in room worked so bad that you need to go to restaurant to get a good connection.
Prices for drinks are 1.5 higher than in other hotels so we bought beer outside. Large Bintang beer is 60k IDR (30-40k is normal price for hotels), bottle of wine is 500k (200-250k). But for other guests (from Holland of course) he brought wine from mainland.
Manager tries to do his best but not always succeed. Too busy with his local "wife".
If this was not a prepaid stay we'd move to another (cheaper) hotel after 2 nights. But management in Holland will charge your credit card to not let you to escape...
Airport transfer by taxi is 250k IDR - 2 times the average price (boat transfer is 750k IDR - OK), and the manager went with us to meet other guests who also paid for the transfer. So, beautiful but very overpriced hotel. Do not agree to pay when you book.
And that is not ours only opinion, we were not treated some different way from other guests, a pair from Australia was also disappointed, the manager didn't even met them so they waited till he comes back from mainland for 3-4 hours at the restaurant and we had to welcome them and explain everything. So it seems like some special Dutch way of doing business.
Great view from the room, clean and quiet place, can rent a boat from the hotel. Good reef just at the hotel beach. Very helpful dive instructor Sven is nearby, coming every evening to offer join a dive trip (we do not dive but snorkel, so he invited us to join divers for a small fee). You can rent any equipment at his station.
