I am writing this feedback so no one will fall for this hotel's scam
tactic in the future. Me and my wife already spent 5 days in Gili
Trawangan (nearby island) and needed a night lodging in main land of
Lombok on our last day before departing to our home country. We bought
the deal for Deluxe room in Booking.com, with offered price of IDR
250,000 from 400,000 by this hotel.
We arrived on 1st Nov 13 to this hotel, and upon registration, the
receptionist denied our room and told us that the amount we paid at
Booking.com was the price for a Standard room, she then showed us the
price list of rooms, with Deluxe being on top of the list, while
Standard room is number 3 out of 4 types. We explained hard to her
that the deal that we purchased is for a Deluxe room, but at a
discounted price. She was reluctant to give and off she went to see
her manager in the office, with her was my phone that displaying of
our booking and entitlement details. Then she came back saying the
manager agreed to give us the room and she directed us to our room.
To our surprise, we were given a super small room with twin beds.
Other than the beds, the tight space left is only enough for you to
move to the bathroom. The bathroom was very small and basic. Since we
were really hungry, I told my wife to just change clothes to go grab
food and some essentials from the nearby mall (about 1 km away). The
room has a funny smell, and when we opened the cupboard, we were
shocked to see there were two boxes of pastries, full with fungus, a
baseball hat and some mineral water in plastic cups, unopened. On the
bed, we spotted some fresh stains. The staff there quickly cleaned up
the mess in the cupboard after my wife screamed fearfully, but she did
not do anything about the bed sheet as she said the sheet just came
out from the laundry. During lunch, my wife and I were trying to make
sense of THAT Deluxe room, how it was too basic even for a budget
