Great villas and nice view. Very nice staff.
Constructions ongoing on site and around(swimming pool was closed and suffered à bit due to the noise). Upper terasse of the restaurant was closed although the it has the best view. Restaurant is terrible. It is said on the menu that the méat,fish etc is fresh from the day but in fact the staff told us it has been bought 3 days ago and kept in the fridge (not the freezer...).Very expensive also. The hotel should definitevely change the Chef and Manager of the restaurant.
we stayed 6 days, mostl everything was god, the food was great, but no variety in the breakfast and few fruits the staff was very nice and helpfull. peaceful environment. I would highly recommend this hotel..
I had fungus on my skin, I suspect the towels were not so clean. also mosquitoes bites all over the body. I still have them after a week now...bad curtains and inconvenient toilets outside the room as there are many insects around.. i hope they'll improve these minor problem
Everything was extremely great, its an experience you will never forget
We spent 5 days and enjoyed every minute. The villa was just beautiful.Set amongst the rice paddies and so peaceful. The staff could not have been more helpful. The restaurant was amazing food was great. Spa well priced. Had the best holiday and would recommend to anyone going to Ubud. In on word spectacular. We will definitely be going back next year.
Having to leave
The atmosphere of location. Quiet n natural.
Sunblind at room could not well operate.
I loved everything about the place. The location was close enough to Ubud but remote enough to feel private in a very peaceful setting. Beautiful design; inspired by the local architecture and decorated combining traditional Balinese with modern touches. The food was restaurant quality and the staff go out of their way to assist their guests. Overall, Chapung is the perfect stay in Ubud. Its the perfect balance between nature and comfort...
The villa was excellent. had a villa with a very nice paddy field view. Staffs here are extremely polite and helpful.
Hard to actually find this place, local guide had to ask the villagers for directions. The Spa was a little bit of a disappointment. No Spa service even at 6pm when it is clearly stated that they close at 8pm which is considered early after you come back from a long day trip.
Very well decorated Nicely clean Friendly staff Stuning pool Worth
Very soft materess Not so close to ubud center, better if you have a motorbike or car.
Our villa was absolutely beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. It was everything I had hoped it would be and more. We loved the stunning view past our pool directly into the rice patties. The breakfasts were amazing and we enjoyed the food so much, we chose to eat dinner there several nights during our stay. Each member of the staff was a delight and all were very helpful. I would love to return someday.
A bit far from the center of Ubud, but the hotel provides free transportation to the center at any time of the day or night. The style is elegant and well maintained. The rooms are clean and the staff is very professional and friendly.
The restaurant does not fit the rest of the structure. The menu is poor in traditional dishes of Indonesian cuisine. The menu was always the same for all the days of our stay, so we opted for other restaurants in the center of Ubud. Breakfast is also poor... lacking in fruit, pastries, and jams.
Villa design. Friendly staff. Beautiful setting.
A little noise from some other villas. Only one coffee at breakfast.
Everything, from the spacious room with fragrant woods, the landscaping of the property, excellent and friendly staff. Free shuttle to go downtown.
To have to leave!
Location, kindness and helpfulness of the staff, villa. 30min Massage very good
ongoing construction next to the restaurant, where they are building a pool. Lack of privacy in the 'open air' spa due to large amount of workers. Do not ask the spa ladies to carry out a manicure or pedicure.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. One of the front office staff had a lot of trouble understanding (my) English, although others were excellent. The vista of the valley was beautiful. Bed comfy.
I was very disappointed with the amount of noise. I specifically requested a quiet villa and we were given a lovely villa overlooking the valley. Unfortunately there was a construction site right below us!!! We basically had to shut ourselves inside with the air conditioning on to get away from the hammering, sawing etc. One of the builders even climbed the palm tree and started dropping coconuts into our little yard and then collected them while we were there watching. The restaurant area was also very noisy due to construction work directly underneath the floor which really spoilt the peace and tranquility of the place. The spa was also right next to the construction work --> noisy there too. We were not warned about the construction work nor offered a discount for the inconvenience which I believe was unprofessional.
The hotel itself is a treasure. The place is very quiet and surrounded by rice paddies. The breakfast do not have a variety of choices but restaurant is like a huge open balcony which is just lovely and has a very nice view.
far from the Ubud Center which spend 25 mins by car. The shuttle bus to Ubud center only run 6 times for the whole day, which is less than expected. Hotel transportation is quite expensive and recommend to book a taxi at the Ubud center.
Breakfast, private pools
Everything.. The place was to die for
Distance from and to airport.
Wonderful small resort (only 8 villas), staff was very kind and helpful, the spa is perfectly nestled into the nature, restaurant is like a huge open balcony which is just lovely and has a very nice view. The breakfast was the best I ever had. Am still dreaming to get it served every morning (buffet with croissants, cake, pie, cereals, juices, smoothies plus bread, fruits, omelet, deserts, coffee from the menu). Ubud is a 10-15 min drive which is ok. Would highly recommend a stay here.
The food taste (lunch/dinner) was excellent, but all meat and fish was overcooked unfortunately. The breakfast was excellent though! The bed mattress was very soft and they had none to change with. Should be replaced by new ones.
wonderful resort. excellent service.
Breakfast does not have a variety of choices. Laundary clothes came back a bit wet.
The staff is well-trained. The surroundings are nice. Nice music in the restaurants.
There is a reconstruction on the hotel territory. I think they are building a new villa with pool. Right under their so-called "luxury restaurant". Noisy and the workers are walking all around and looking to people who are having their meals in the restaurant which is not very pleasant too. The time of waiting for an omlette or a pancake during the breakfast was about 30 mins while there were just 2 or 3 tables occupied in the whole restaurant. The property (hotel and restaurant) in general is extremely overpriced.
Everything was exactly what I wanted. Perfect.
Unable to stay there longer
everything's excellent for the whole stay.
none, or the only need to be mentioned is the public swimming pool was under construction, but should be ok while next coming.
Stunning views, lovely villa's. Highly recommanded.
Villa's are lovely designed and decorated but there is some deffered maintenance.
Spectacular location, gorgeous views, perfect isolation from noise (virtually no car or bike noise around the complex as it's set back from the main roads), luxurious villas that belong in an architectural design magazine. Private pools a delight to jump right into from the rooms as one wishes. Evenings sitting under the outside bale living area are peaceful and relaxing. Restaurant meals very good, especially breakfast with good choices and fresh ingredients. Spa treatment was heavenly - done in an outdoor bale that was once part of a temple building (some stones remain), behind closed curtains, the best time for a treatment is probably sundown, as the bugs start making those evening noises and the villages start to shut down and the lights fade, and the treatment lulls you into ultimate relaxation. The Sabai Stone Ritual is probably the best. Great staff all around.
