Helpful staff, great breakfast, location great as it's away from the main area and it's relaxing. Great to get the paradise feel on the largest of the 3 islands
Good, peaceful location on the beach. Enjoyed the breakfast and dinner watching the sea right in front of us. Just a 5-10 -minutes walk to the harbour and restaurants, but the noises from there doesn't bother at all.
There was a small construction area in front of the hotel during our stay.
we had to pay even if we moved to another place, unpleasant smelt from toilet, bad location.
Location was nice: beach front with great snorkling opportunity
Very unfriendly staff, people didn't care about guests at all, staff were incompetent (e.g. on the day of departure we asked them to call a horse taxi at 7:00 am, they told us it's not possible as the taxis will only start to work at 9:00 am. During our 25 min walk to the boat departure station with heavy luggage, we saw horse taxis already driving), rooms were not cleaned (never!),wifi connection was very bad
Nice bungalow room, Nice garden and ocean view
Long dark street to walk in the dark (after 7). Maybe safe but I would not suggest to walk it alone
Lazy personal Very old equipment in the room Not clean room
Breakfast menu is good... Resto provide great food Location far from crowd
Water so slow and small..room cleaning not good
Location was definetly the best. Away from noise but near center. Next to the nicest beach to be during the day ante the best spot where to catch sunset. The restaurant has a few tables located over the sea...adorable. With staff we had a hate and love relation. Some of them seemed no to care at all on being nice with guests but we had good experiences too. Though you have to ask to get your room cleaned they were very nice to mee when i asked for more toilet paper and soap. Wi fi works fine even in the rooms. Cottages are confortable and big, bathroom is too. Very good breakfast, the only place where i actually had the chance to choose between some options. Restaurant is good as well.
We rented a cottage with fan not because it was cheaper but because we preferred it. The difference of quality between rooms with AC and ours was huge. Our front door was full of teenage stickers. We didn't have unlike others a place where to wash feet before entering the room. The mosquito net of the bed was not only broken but dirty. When i opened it i found on top of one side of the bed there was something that looked like -but wasn't- a lot of sand. Bathroom was not very clean, dead bugs on the floor, very dirty walls, brownish toilet, broken place where to hang toilet paper, toilet did not flush. Too expensive for what it actually offered.
It was quiet, so you can get a good night sleep. The cottage was nice, nearby the beach. Breakfast was fine.
It was a 20 minute walk to the 'centre' of Gili T. Use a flashlight if you are coming back in the evening. The staff was to busy with their laptops and/or telephone, to notice the guests. You have to ask if they want to clean your room, otherwise they won't do it! I had to ask for new towels 3 (!!!) times. No hot water, and the wifi connection isn't that great. You could get a nicer hotel/cottage for the price they're asking..
Friendly staff was helpful with directions, nice quiet little houses (its a bedroom with a bathroom), nothing fancy, but still rather clean and very affordable. Far away from the "real" world Great place regarding location for breakfast/lunch/coffee...
Living on the far north of the island has its advantages, bikes more expencive than in the center, i've seen better (and worse) snorkeling masks not too much to choose from for breakfast not each house has AC, booked 8 months in advanced and was still given an fan room... Only one electricity socket in the room so ether use the fan or charge your gear.
Eating by the sea is beautiful. I got the middle class cottages which was perfect for me as long as it was clean and tidy and had AC. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. I was very happy with my stay. The beach along here was beautiful and more peaceful and less busier than the city centre. I liked being secluded from the hustle and bustle.
The service for food and drink orders were very slow but its like that throughout the whole island. I have a cat phobia and they have about 3 resident cats which I wasn't really happy about. The walk to the city centre is a lot further than most places, but I really didn't mind the walk - otherwise, you can hire the horsecarts to take you.
The hut was nice enough....
I liked the bathroom, but not the cigarett butts in it, wasn't very clean, seemed to be a chore for staff when checking in. All the other places swept out the front in the morning, but not here, my wife had to pick up an empty water bottle after watching a staff member step over it a couple of times, all in all you get what you pay for, spent a bit extra in the next place we stayed and there was a world of difference.
Location-sunset beach is fab for snorkelling (saw 2 turtles) and the place to be for sunset Tables in beach huts on stilts over the water Yummy pizza! Can hire bikes/snorkels etc and shop on site
Breakfast was poor, but does seem to be fairly standard in Bali/Indonesia Cold water shower-but quite refreshing after a day at the beach Some might not like the walk across the beach and unlit lane into the 'town' - make sure that you have a torch or head torch is better!
Staff were very friendly and attentive although their English was lacking, it was hard to communicate at times. Breakfast is a set menu which was of a good standard. Value for money, good for travellers.
No air conditioning in the room, only a fan made nights intolerable.. Mosquitos are a bit of a problem. Room was quite small and only had a dim Eco friendly light bulb. Cold showers. Location is not bad although they say it is far from the main bit it's only because the only transport they have is a horse and carriage as a taxi, walk is around 10mins to main bars and restaurants.. Bring a light if travelling back in the night.
The accommodation was nice, although noisy. The pizzas were really good!
The staff, although they would help you if you pestered them enough, acted like they just didn't care. We were constantly waiting to be served in the restaurant for breakfast or just to get a drink even though there was about 5 staff members hanging around. They would sit and play on their phones or be watching tv and shout at each other in their own language before anyone would even approach us. They were rude and just plain lazy.
I liked the free breakfast, the hut, the pebbled bathroom, the staff and the quiet location on the beachfront.
It was a long walk from the centre, our sheets and towels were not changed or cleaned. Some staff were quite lazy and rude when we tried to order some food.
Aircon and power sometimes didn't work
It was very far from the main street and you had to walk a very long way to reach the street, there was just cold water to take a shower with, there was no room service unitill you asked the staff, the staff didn't know English and they were not respectfull through the guest. The price was not reasonable in comparison with the price.
small beach houses were lovely..
so hard with luggage go there.. and not hot water, room was not that clean..
There's 3 types of cottages, older ones for those who don't mind basic things, middle class ones with AC for those who want great value for money and the new ones for those who need more. Staff is nice, breakfast by the sea excellent and the dinner we ordered was amazing too! I think this place doesn't get enough credit from most of the people. We enjoyed our stay very much and the quiet surroundings was even bigger plus..:)
I believe the old cottages are not the most beautiful place to stay but you always have a choice. The walk from the main street seems a bit longer for the first time.
The pizza, the peruga, the staff
The towel is too big and the bed sheet somehow there is stain on it.
Rude Staff especially Mr. Herman, did not bother to clean the room and inform about changing the room for aircon to basci room and at check just charged me higher for air con rooms. Felt like he was doing me a favour by letting me stay in the Hotel.
•The location is great, right by the beach and you can sit up on raised platforms to have breakfast right by the sea! •The cottages you sleep in are unique and quirky! •The staff are very helpful and polite! •Breakfast was nice
•The room we stayed in leaked through the roof so every night we got in to bed our bedding was soaked. •The mosquito net above our bed was useless but that didn't bother me too much, it was the mouse droppings on top of it that was most disturbing! •No hot water in the shower! We came to realise that this is pretty standard on Gili, even in deluxe rooms! •Hotel is quite a walk from all the restaurants and bars but when it's not raining it's a nice walk
