Smell in bathroom
Pool, the rice fields, the staff, the rooms all lovely. Great breakfast also.

Wifi hit and miss. Double rooms just at top of stairs has very little privacy and the curtains don't black out any light (or prying eyes). Okay for us as we were friends, but a couple might like more privacy. Our shower head was also over the floor instead of the bath, so we had to stretch the cord across (it reached okay, was just a bit strange). Breakfast was delicious, but only served between 8-9am which meant you had to be around at that time.
Good location, literally in the middle of rice paddies so no traffic noise, but close enough to the main road to still be convenient. Amazing view over the rice paddies. Great value for money. Nice staff.

We like this tiny place which is bright and clean . Surrounding with beautiful rice terrace fields. Our family room on second floor has lots of space for my children.
April 19, 2015
All good - apart from the loud americans upstairs.....
Great room, aircon, beds, breakfast, pool. We loved this place - a little paradise amongst the rice fields - nice and quiet but only a 10 min stroll to most attractions.

Can't reach by car.
Scenery of the padi field

Dark to walk home at night.
Location is nice and quiet but close enough to city centre. Friendly staff and huge rooms especially the family room by the pool

Pool is too small to swim in. No communal area other than poolside.
Pool is pretty, rooms are great and staff are friendly.

The location was great, breakfast every morning was a bonus and traveling with older children there trips were priced better then anyone on the street without bargaining.

Nothing, you need to walk a bit in the country side.
Frendly staff, relaxing place.

We stayed in the family room with a fantastic view of the rice fields and the pool just three steps outside the door. Felt like our own pool! We loved the breakfast served on the terrace every morning and the coffee and tea thermos being refilled all day. Nice and quiet place but still only a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants. It took us about 15-20 mins to walk through town to Monkey Forest - with three kids. Not a luxury resort but a family run cosy place where you felt very welcome. Really good value for money. We all loved it!

It is almost the same price as other more comfortable places. But this one is more like back-packers. In the big room we were in the shower is like a wet room - opposite the toilet but the water does not go quickly. The floors are tiled, so it gets slippery. My mum fell down. No chance to hang your clothes - no hooks or wardrobe.
The location is great. Close to everything you need. The walk through the fields is pleasant but not with the suitcases. The owner/manager is very polite.

Convenient location, tidy, quiet. Good price and service ratio.

No fridge in room and wi fi was poor
The staff, the location and thevalue for money.
February 22, 2015
A bit suspicious of workers there... Hawking around rooms at night, felt as if they had been inside. Made my girlfriend feel uncomfortable also... Aircon was excruciatingly loud, as was the water system going past the walls. There is just so much more to offer in the homestays of ubud for similar or better price
The walk to the house was very pretty. Not too far from the marketplace (7-10 mins)

One member of staff was quite pushy with wanting to sell you tickets to show or massage i had arrived at 9pm ish and was very tired from my flight and it was difficult to get him to leave and was a little overbearing for me when i had only been in my room 5 mins. However once you got to know him throughout the stay he was quite friendly and often brought us a coconut. I had a massage from what he said was his family but turned out to be a German gentlemen and i felt a little uneasy having a massage in my room - it felt a little unprofessional after this i preferred to go to a spa for the full experience.
The pool was really nice overlooking the rice paddies. Owner Dewa was really friendly and calming quite chatty but left you to it unless you wanted something. Breakfast was really nice. The walk through rice paddies to get there is relatively easy, i was worried but it is actually signposted and easy to find. Air con was nice and room was clean. A real gem for relaxing in Ubud. Owner Dewa sorted out all our activities including volcano trek and transfer to the gili islands. He was very helpful.

The staff are all fantastic and could not spend enough time trying to accommodate our needs. The rooms were a great and the location in comparison to Ubud town-centre could not be better. Definitely check out Umah Pizza for food (very close) and Rouge Sushi lounge. Delightful!!

A bit hard to find especially in the dark, but once fond a very nice place
Friendly staf who can arrange a good deal for taxi and boottrip to the Gili's Nice swimmingpool No noise at night and still close to the center of Ubud
February 7, 2015
Could have done with a fridge in the room, altough our daughers had a fridge in theirs so we shared! Nothing bad to say about it.
Loved this place it was amazing, staff all very friendly and helpful. Rooms spotless, secluded and private yet just a few minutes walk to street with lots of restaurants etc Breakfast served on balcony each morn-tea or coffee toast and egg or delicious pancakes followed by fresh fruit. surrounded by ŕice fields, palm trees etc and the noise at night was amazing, frogs, toads, all sorts of creatures, it was like a different world! Pool was small but just right for the surroundings. Ubud is a lovely place to stay!

Very central, but down a quiet trail from the street. Don't be put off by the 3-4 minute walk through the rice paddies. Friendly personable staff. Lovely pool.

Wished we had top sheet on bed (not something we found anywhere) and towels could do with replacing (well used) but were clean.
Great little pool, quiet yet central location, just a short walk to food, attractions and shopping, friendly staff always willing to help, comfortable room and fan plus air con. Staff will arrange tours, transfers, tickets, bottled water etc Great breakfast and will be back again :)
January 20, 2015
I mainly loved the location: close to the city center, short walk through the rice fields to get there, nice and quiet. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they can practically arrange everything for you (or help you to arrange it). Definitely if one day I am back in Ubud I will also go back to Dewa House Bisma !!!

You cannot fault it for this price
The host was really helpfull and not too pushy like in other places in Bali. Nice breakfast, big beds, lovely view on to the rice fieds. Good value for money The owner also arranged a return ticket to the Gilis for us for 500k each. A bargain!
January 3, 2015
wifi patchy but that is standard in Bali so far.
we liked... airport pickup, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast with a fruit bowl on the side every morning, location, knowledgable owner who helped us book transfer to lembongan for a fair and reasonable price. had a great time at dewa house and would return!!!
December 20, 2014
wifi only outside area, have to walk 1km from main road
view, breakfast simple but good taste, bed, pool, location
November 30, 2014
Sheets were not clean. Staff is very good, but also eager to sell tours or taxi services which gets annoying after being asked for the x-th time 'you have program today?'. This really made us feel uncomfortable after a while. The family room is directly at the pool, bathing guests early in the morning or late at night will wake you up (despite efforts of the hotel mgr to keep them quite).
Hotel is located just a 5 min walk of the Ubud main street, surrounded by rice terraces. The walk from Jalan Bisma to the hotel over the paved road is idyllic. Pool was very convenient and clean. Family room is very spacious. Breaksfast was simple (no choice) but really fresh and tasteful.
