I really liked the well kept gardens and friendly staff.

Nice hotel close to the beach (a bit far away from the "action" at Sanur, which is probably nice for families but not if you want access to a big selection of restaurants, bars, etc.). Breakfast was good and so was the pool area.

The guy at the reception is one of the most annoying people I've met in my life. He wanted us to pay up front, but we made an agreement that we could pay the same evening because we wanted to change some usd first. Within the first hour (we arrived early afternoon), he had knocked on our door twice to collect the money even though we had specifically agreed that I would pay in the evening and not before 4 pm!! What really made me upset is that our little baby was sleeping in the room, and I told after the first knock that I'd prefer that he didn't wake him up! Anyway, after I paid the same evening (as we had agreed), at least he didn't come back to knock on our door :-)

Loved the traditional Bali style gardens, breakfast by the ocean.

Mosque nearby -loud call to prayer woke us up early. Towels were stained but were clean.

was given a terrible room for the price. Room was old and smelly (musty). Stayed only one night then moved on the next day.

The staff dealt with all the problems - and there were some - promptly and well. The staff were friendly. The breakfast wasn't great. The spa had highly inflated prices for most of the day.

Your website stated that the room had a view, a dvd and cd player and a clock.....it had none of these. The first room they showed me reeked of cigarette smoke. The air con didn't work in the second room.

The hotel has perfect location on the beach, a nice garden and friendly staff. There was everything OK.

The hotel inexplicably doesn't explicitly show that it's on the beach in its booking.com photos. It is. Right there. Though it isn't the best part of the beach. It's quiet, there's ready access to eateries and transportation, and the staff are helpful.

my booking was missed i was put in a place next door that was terrible , no hot water in the villa digwankra, the place was over priced i would not stay there again

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and will definitely return, gardens were beautiful, pool sparkling and staff all very friendly, we stayed upstairs in superior room spotless on arrival ,older style decor traditional Balinese, which is what we are after in Bali, as we are not into pricey high rise hotels. Restaurant and meals good. On quite end of the beaches, but walk out onto beach or hire bike ( 1-3 au dollars a day) and ride the 6km path stopping along the way at restaurants and coffee shops or just lie on the beach.

Nothing really, but higher rooms stairs only and quite steep if you cannot manage, however not a problem for us as we enjoyed having a view of ocean and cool breeze at night.

Clean & comfortable accommodation. Helpful & friendly staff. Well catered breakfast. Within easy walking distance to a number of eating facilities along the beachfront.

Language barrier - staff understanding of spoken English. Bathroom could do with improvements.ie-handbasin not fixed properly and shower drainage running onto the floor.

They out us in a sub standard room which was much shabbier than the others near the road, it was dilapidated and run down and not nearly worth the money compared to others for the price. They would not let us change rooms even though there were others available and although I don't usually complain and am easy going, this realy was the worst hotel I have stayed in in Asia, well the room we had was at east!,,

The gardens were beautiful and well maintained. It was peaceful and the room was spacious. It's right on the beach with a lovely view of the mountains on a good day. It has it's own sunbeds for guests, but there is a thoroughfare between the beach and the hotel which is very busy with both locals and tourists all day.

Not enough sunbeds or space around the pool which is small. The beach itself is not really suitable for swimming as the beach is littered with rubbish and dead coral washed ashore. Be aware of the prices of activities, get a guideline from the brochures before accepting any other offers from hotel staff. They were friendly and well meaning I'm sure, but they quoted much more than the holiday activity brochure. I liked the hotel but not the beach

Decent rooms, although ours did not have that overwhelming traditional Balinese décor they claim to have. Friendly and helpful staff.

Oddly enough the hotel provides shampoo and conditioner, but no shower gel. Compared to other swimming pools on the promenade, this one could look a bit more attractive.

Rooms were pretty basic and a bit worn. The first room they showed us was upstairs right next to the mosque loudspeaker and was unacceptable, but they let us move to a garden room.

Unique place, with a full grown tropical botanical garden including a temple. With the 2012 facilities of a nice swimming pool, wifi, airco, it gave is a athentic confortable holyday. Hotel chairs on the beach and a friendly beachside restaurant make it complete. Perfect place for people who want to take the boat to lembuguan or lombok. They leave from this Beach. Rooms are fine, personel is helpfull and open, spa/massage and taxiservice are ok.

Convenient location peaceful grounds friendly staff

The staff were friendly however the rooms were in need of a total makeover repaint and repairs. The bathroom in particular was very much below standard. The air-conditioner needed a total service and clean [bad health risk] The restaurant whilst basic was a very standard below par menu but the staff very good.Spa facilities barren and expensive.

The staff are excellent, they're very friendly towards me and my parents. The hotel is by the beach, I can dine and watching the waves. The room is fair enough, I think they place me in an old building (near the receptionist) as the new rooms are near the swimming pool. In my first night, I was lucky enough to see the performance of Legong Dance, as the hotel entertainment for the Malaysian group. It's a halal hotel too, no pork served in the menu, so I have to find pork outside the hotel, which very near. As we stroll the beach, there are so many street vendors which sells souvenirs and food. I would love to stay in Diwangkara again.

The bathroom, very smelly :( please fix the pipe, I think something clogged the drain and fix the sewer, our bathroom smells like sewer all the time

It was splendid for the price we paid. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa there and of course the gardens. A super hotel

Staff were a little lacking in enthusiasm......

We liked Diwangkara's proximity to a beach which locals also enjoy using, whereas some of the other beaches predominantly seem to be used by visitors only. Diwangkara is slightly off the beaten track but that also gave us the opportunity to utilise the excellent beach walkway towards the busier (and more touristy) section of Sanur beach. Loved the Sunset Beach Rasta Pub next door, where they have excellent live music 3 nights a week.

Little disappointed by the swimming and snorkelling right in front of the hotel, but one or two bays over to the right, this seemed clearer and better.

Great value for money; large rooms; many extra things (we got free massage, free drinks etc.); staff were nice and helpful though their English was not very good
