Absolutely everything. .....great hotel, friendly staff, delicious food and relaxing spa treatments. All before you come to the best bit.....the elephants. An amazing experience.
Everything except the bed which was too hard. Bets 24 hours ever,
Bed too hard.
It was delightful to see a mans vision become a reality where the elephants are loved and cared for, not just commodities. The owner was present and he is a real presence in all aspects of the hotel. A wonderful experience.
I liked it all.
Swimming with the elephants! !!
Dinner buffet should have included one drink... seemed a bit expensive not to include tea /coffee
All interaction with elephants and staff' beautiful room, gardens, food, atmosphere. Guy who is MC at the daily shows - very funny and friendly.
Park bus cost of return trip to Kuta - 65 US dollar compared to 40 to take us there - taking 4 hours and showing sights. Too expensive.
Excellent all round
Excellent experience. One of the highlights of our holiday. Staff couteous and excellent.
It's definitely worth staying here for a night to enjoy more time with the elephants in the hours when most tourists are not visiting the park. We stayed 3 nights which was maybe too long but if your kids are fond of animals they would not want to leave so it worked out well for us anyway. Best part of the day is the morning when you can enjoy a peaceful breakfast and have a chance to really cuddle the elephants and ask information to the staff.
the price!! and I would have preferred to be offered more chances to interact with the elephants, not only for rides. I would have loved to receive more information about he food the eat, and other details about their daily lives. I would have liked to see them walking more and less time in chain and I would have definitely skipped the "elephant show". I believe people who love animals would not enjoy the show; if they really have to have one they should copy the one in Bali Safari and Marine Park which is an explanation of why Sumatran Elephants are endangered, it is starred by people with the brief but very good and somehow natural intervention of two elephants.
It's a new experiment To do things with the elephant
The massage sucks very poor my husband Was scratched by her nails.they should do something About the spa coz the journey to get to the lodge is so long we thought we needed the massage but they were really bad
The proximity to the elephants was amazing. Hearing them gently shuffling at night on the balcony, hearing them trumpet when walking around, watching them when I looked out from the fitness centre - it was all great!
The dinner underwhelming and the portions were small.
We loved our stay at the park! We only wish we had more time. Received a complimentary room Upgrade on arrive which included an elephant ride to dinner! Rooms were fantastic and very comfortable. Staff were also excellent
The buffet dinner under the stars was very expensive but perhaps more the experience then anything. In saying that the desert selection was huge, especially for Bali -and all of it was great! We also thought it would have been good for them to provide guests at the lodge with a park guide during the stay.
The whole atmosphere of the resort was beautiful. The opportunity to get up close to these magnificent animals was awesome. Loved the whole experience and will be coming back
I didn't stay long enough. Only overnight. My bad!!
An customized itinerary was provide once we checked in; The engagement with elephant are fun.
The facility in the room is just 3-stars.
A truely magical place to stay. The interaction with the elephants is something we will never forget. Food was great, staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable and clean. Even the shower had plenty of power. Would love to go back with our Grandson one day.
Park view room was beautiful!
Spa was disappointing. Massage was hurried and girls seems disinterested. 10-15 minute Shower time taken off the one hour massage time. I could have showered back in my room!
I like the idea of Sumatran elephants being in a safe environment. I liked the park room view. The food was decent.
The pool water the elephants dip guest in was in dire need of changing. The ride included in the stay was a short walk around the park. I didn't like that the drawings by the elephants were un-friendly priced. I thought that some of the trainers were to severe with the elephants, as some had lots of marks on top of the head. It was a bit Disney instead of tranquil as promoted
The service in the restaurants was fantastic, we stayed on New Years and they went the extra mile with service. The activities included in the stay was appreciated but awkwardly timed and not able to be rescheduled. Good views around the park, and free to walk around when activities were not scheduled. Good selection of souvenirs in shops but expensive compared to local area.
Reception staff were unhelpful and would not answer our questions during arrival, we were rushed to our room which was changed from a paddy view to a "garden" view which was the back of the other huts and we could not see anything. The bed was uncomfortable-two twins were pushed together with a dip in between them. The water int he shower was not hot and again, reception were unhelpful despite calling twice to ask for someone to come and look at it. I was fobbed off and told that the water "just didn't get very hot". We also were told that reception would not help us book a taxi other than an expensive one that the resort provided. As we do not speak bahasa, we found it hard to book ourselves with another company and to be refused help with this was disgusting. I felt hugely let down by a stay that I was hoping would be one of the best in our trip to Bali and I am glad we didn't stay longer than one night.
The Elephant Safari Park was the jewel in our trip to Bali. My partner loves elephants and we decided to spend the lions share of the budget for our trip to Bali here. It was everything that we had hoped it would be and more. From the staff, to the food, the interaction with the elephants, it was all superb. My personal favourites were feeding and bathing the elephants and seeing my partners face every day when we looked at the superbly structured itenary. I really recommend this place highly enough, the rooms are fantastic and the staff work so hard to make the stay special with touches like turning down the bed for you whilst you are at dinner. Fantastic place.
Honestly? No bad points from us. I would say that the buffet is a little expensive but the a la carte menu is very good. Try the steak, my boyfriend still salivates when talking about it almost two weeks later!
Christmas Eve dinner was wonderful. Thank you. Staff were excellent, particularly the elephant trainers. Liked the Turkey bagel for Christmas morning...
Surprised there was nothing special for Christmas day. Disappointed as my family of four was reuniting after 18 months of living in different countries. We hoped something non-religious but Christmassy would happen on Christmas day. However, staff wished us happy Christmas, and wore Santa Hats etc. ON Christmas Eve the tape deck seemed to be stuck on the one carol that played over for the entire night.
many Ants on beds, could not sleep well.
Staff were wonderful, park itself was excellent, the elephants were amazing, great food and overall had a great time
Small Room Issues: Needs a plug socket in the bathroom, no internet in the room, another sheet on the bed (one bottom sheet and duner is not enough). Top sheet is needed. More light over the bathroom mirror. Slippers that fit male feet and a clothes horse....so you can dry your wet clothes off after swimming with the elephants....nobody wants to put wet clothes in there suitcase!!
Loved the animal interactions and the well maintained gardens. This is well maintained wild life park with the animal’s welfare being the prim focus.
This property is not located close to town and food and drinks do come at a high premium. No other activities other than the elephant to entertain the children as play area would be grate addition. The bed was like sleeping on concrete for this type of property and price you would think that you would have good quality bed.
It is amazing site comparable to going to Africa. Over 30 elephants
Not much veg and Indian food.
