눉The quality of the property just didn't match the price you paid per night. The power went out every night and there was no back up generator, which also meant the water went off too. We are very used to power cuts, living in India for 3 years, but a property of that size should have a generator. The rain leaked through the roof one night onto all our beds and dangerously close to electrical wiring, so we spent an uncomfortable night and had to shift to a different villa. Mosquitoes were really, really bad - even during the day. Probably because of the rain. Again, we are no strangers to mosquitoes, but boy, these were the worst we encountered and we couldn't sit outside in the end, day or night. The kids' legs were absolutely covered. Other eco places still fog/burn dung etc. to keep the insects under control. Staff apologised for leaks and power and gave us candles, but for the amount we paid for this accommodation, I would not recommend it to others and wouldn't return. There was also building work day and night at the site behind the hotel. Sorry! The place feels a little neglected, smells damp and could do with freshening up, check that lights are working before guests arrive, equip the kitchens with enough glasses and utensils to match the number of people staying. Why not offer tea and coffee in the kitchen - would have been a nice touch. Sorry Eco Villas - you have amazing staff, but the property needs more work and finishing touches, particularly as it seems competition is high now on the island.
눇We loved the setting and the concept of the hotel and the staff were fantastic. Food and restaurant service was good, but breakfast limited.
