Staff outstanding

Booking > com says this hotel offers a shuttle to the airport and this was the reason I choose the hotel but they do not offer such service

beautiful chic hotel, nearby shopping mall and affordable restaurants, very nice breakfast buffet included, with a huge variety

we were told that there was no reservation made, with my booking.com reservatio confirmations i could book a room for same price, we were lucky to check in very early, wifi (USD per uur) far too expensive, even in lobby no free wifi, consumptions in restaurants and room servive far too expensive. distanve to airport is at least twice as indicated on booking.com (35 minutes), it took our taxi 2 hours to get there and 1 hour to get back, far from main tourist attractions. strange admosphere in street, opposite hotel very loud bar until deep at night.

The Staff is very nice. Breakfast and the rest of food in its Restaurants are good.

This is not a 5 Star Asia Hotel. The rooms are small for a 5 Star Hotel. It is located in the South Area of Jakarta, far away from main attractions mainly when the jam is unbearable. Booking fee was U$S 381 for 3 nights but the charged U$S 460 instead. I have complained and they said the difference will be refund in 2 weeks.

The Gran Mahakan contacted me to advise the room I booked was full and offered me a free upgrade. Staff always helpful, but not the quickest to react to dealing with a request. Good location, very secure and kept very clean.

The upgraded room offered, wasn't very modern, even though considered an upgrade. Furniture was worn, with two small lcd T/V's in a duplex, no working desk within the Duplex and lampshade chords and switches needed replacing. I had to ask for extra cable to use the Internet on the Coffee Table, which took 2 hrs to resolve. No reflection of the staff, as they were very good, just poor room planning.

Over the past year, I have stayed at Hotel Gran Mahakam more than 10 times... Its location is fantastic ...close to semanggi and scbd...comfortable rooms, value for money pricing, lot of f&b around within walking distance, 7/11 diagnolly opp, authorised money exchange adjacent...its great....not to forget the amazing staff who are warm and professional. I would go back again and again to gran mahakam for all my travel to jakarta.

Food can be better both in terms of range and quality [its not at all bad, maybe I have stayed so many times hence biased]. There should be some mechanism to make internet free...[bundle it in room cost]...

I like the mezzanine for the location of breakfast's restaurant.

Excellent service. Stayed in the junior suite with excellent value for money.

Nice, cozy, good decor and choice of furniture/fittings, breakfast spread, pillows and the warmth and politeness of the hotel staffs. Lots of Japanese restaurants nearby.

Internet charge is too expensive, so not really good for travellers who would like to update blogs/facebook. Not even free wifi in the lobby. Only cable connection in the room, so cannot access via iPhone/iPad or mobile devices. Room is small, extra bed is expensive.

Nice hotel in traditional style. Great room. Good location with many restaurants nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Good non-smoking policies where the non-smoking floors were completely free of smoke. Fast internet. Good breakfast.

The staff in all aspects were considerate, friendly, courteous and helpful to the extreme. We would highly recommend this hotel to other travellers. When back in Jakarta we will look forward to staying at the Gran Mahakam again. I would ask for more infomation on local attractions to be available in the room.
